  • In todays acrylic painting tutorial sunset beach episode I will take you through how I created this lovely seascape on canvas.
In this easy acrylic painting tutorial I am going to teach you how to paint a sunset beach painting with acrylic paints that hopefully you can paint along at home.
This beach sunset acrylic painting tutorial will make it very easy to follow along with step by step instructions so you can paint a realistic gorgeous sunset beach.
This sunset beach painting tutorial is perfect for beginners and more advanced students (intermediate) as it covers acrylic painting techniques, colour mixing and show you how to paint up a sunset beach stage by stage.
You can use canvas or paper for the tutorial but please have a hairdryer handy to dry your work in places. Acrylics dry very fast, but the hairdryer allows you to quickly dry your work in order to not make a mistake.
By taking your time with each stage you will learn how to improve your realism but also how to paint a sunset seascape acrylic painting.
Please enjoy, and please be sure to let me know your thoughts in the comments below :)

Love the closeups of your techniques. I learn so much this way and sometimes mimic your strush strokes as you are painting. I notice improvements in my paintings. I would like your guidance in something. In my landscapes when a color gets away from me and darkens\deepens too much I have been able to successfully correct the situation by applying as many glaze coats as required made up of a color in the problem area mixed with zinc white and a glazing medium or water. Do you think this may work with your pieces like this one being initially too harsh with the scarlet in the clouds.
    Appreciate your input. Thanks

Can I ask why use raw siena to pre-paint the canvas every time? Thanks.
