In todays forest acrylic painting tutorial for beginners / intermediate painters. We are going to paint together step by step on how to paint a forest with acrylics.
This forest painting tutorial for beginners and intermediate painters is designed to be challenging to beginners. But all the painting techniques that we will cover will include easy ways to mix colours, create depth, have highlights and shadows. As well as how to paint trees, how to paint leaves etc. Which hopefully you can learn and use to create a beautiful forest pathway painting for beginners / intermediate painters.
None of the techniques in this forest painting tutorial acrylic video are hard. But they are time consuming. Try your best and take your time when painting. Go at your won speed and relax. Acrylics are great for beginners as they are so easy to use and if you make a mistake. Just dry your work and you can paint over it.
This forest path painting was painted on a A4 canvas. Which is the size of printer paper.
You can use canvas or paper for this forest trail painting, but please have a hairdryer handy to dry your work in places. Acrylics dry very fast, but the hairdryer allows you to quickly dry your work in order to not make a mistake.
By taking your time with each stage you will learn how to improve your realism but also how to paint forest pathway.

Your forest tutorials are my favorite. I like step by step but don't mind the video sped up when you are blocking in or doing repetitive things like leaves. I would love a tutorial with a creek running over rocks in a forest or a swamp with cypress trees like you find in the lower parts of Georgia, Alabama, & Mississippi in the US 😊
