I’ve just bought a 2018 BMW M3 for £925! All I needed to buy was the new tyres because I already owned the car. This is stellar advice to anybody who wants to own a BMW M3, but who has a limited budget!
Really well done mate. I was sceptical before the breakdown. Incredible job! If you're doing it on a budget this vid paves the way. You can always upgrade as you save money on property rental prices.
I'll take that back from my last video. Still in theory it would cost me more as I dnt have any free old stuff prior. Well dome great job love the finish let's get out for a weekend and see in action stay blessed 👍💚
Great job. It goes to show that there are some bargains around, and the best thing is to have a good look around. I used on my van for framing was euro pallets - after sanding then down and all worked. Highly recement to new VANLIFERS, to just that and do what you have said in this vblog, So well done you and keep up with the videos
Brilliant and just what I want to do(sort of) with a Merc Sprinter. I have an XLWB Vito which I have used merely to carry one vintage Sunbeam motorbike, sleeping and Porta Potti. I cannot stand up in it, so a Sprinter is the way to go and so thanks for a wonderful video.
Humble video and making do with your own circumstances which is what it’s all about! I don’t have a driveway so building it on the street makes having the right tools my biggest expense 😂 Side note where abouts is the ikea scrap bit at Warrington? I was there Wednesday for the beams and wish id known about the scrappage!
Love your vids, so helpful. Don’t suppose you have a sketch or something outlining how the various electric components and battery and fuse box, all hang together. You even had a dc to dc charger, how does this fit in?
Excellent video but the problem is to people like myself who can’t necessarily get deals for free to do some advertising for these company’s it would then mean the build cost be expensive. But cracking video anyway just need to get myself a van now :-)
All the stuff you say was free as it came out your old van, so when you got it for your old van was it also free? If not, then it isnt free as you paod for it.😂😂😂
If it came from your old Van it's technically not "free" you must have paid for it at some point? - Surely the total would be more if you were to do again today without your old Van. - saying that it's a great setup for having limited resources!
Ditto - and also the cost of the Dodo Mat etc supplies - for someone new to vanlife, all the supposedly "free" extras that normal humans would have to pay for would be taking the cost up at least another £500-£1000, so would have been good to have said what this would have added.
So it works out if anyone wants to do this for £960. They won't because most of what you have put in was from your old van. You didnt mention your rear windows either. Im doing my van and it costs way more than youve done because i bought a nice van so i wanted it to be a nice motorhome. Im a cabinet maker by trade so i want all the nice stuff in my van. I reckon ive spent £5000.00 on my van so far, for it to work as i want it too. I spent £840.00 alone on a renegy 200ah battery to run my £550 fridge freezer & the max fan at £400, plus lighting at £100, fuse box, wiring, renegy 40amp split charger all came to £100,the sound deadening cost £150 the dodo sound deadening and insulation foam cost £250 for the floor amd cieling, the dodo insulation wool cost £100, the 9mm sheet material for all the wall cost £150 12 sheet material for the floor £100 6mm sheet material for the ceiling £60, 10m of 4 way stretch fabric £100, carpet spray glue 10 tins at £60 all the stainless steel screws £30, 3mm thick rubber penny flooring £80 a quality black sink with sound deadening incorperated £105, a quality extending tap £125, a good water pump £65, 15mm ply for cabinetry £140, iroko wood £300, iroko worktop £200, formika sheet to finish doors and drawers £70, softclose drawer runners £60 4 sets, stay open soft close hinges £30 standard soft close ginges £30, swivel double seat base £345, black glass hob £130, rear door ladder to access roof £215, roof bars £160, that is my cost so far. Still got to buy solar panels and electronics. Pimp the wheels up board the back doors.
Your van will be well nice when it's done. Because mines on social media and I want to make social media pay for it I'm building in stages. Budget build to show loads of budget tips on how to get things free or cheap. Then I'll do a mid range van then a high end van. I'll never have your skill level but it'll be a nice van either way. The back windows on mine are just black vynal. Not glass. That was a mod after the build
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES That is a nice reply, I’m not sure I’d have been so well behaved!!! Some people grrrr. Think you’ve done a fantastic job. I also get freebies, upcycle, freecycle, repurpose and skip dive, but some really good ikea ideas thanks for sharing. There’s a great feeling to be had when you count the pennies and the pounds look after themselves 😊
@sheenavaughan2717 I think you're missing the point. If you spend over 10k for a van, then in my opinion cheaping out on the van build is going to upset you in the long run.
by saying its free as its from old van or my house. it was not free was it because you paid for it. also the insulation was free for you 😂😂 but anyone else its about £800 load of bollocks

Loving your down to earth content. GOOD job

I like your honesty
Great vlog 👏👏👍

Outstanding.
Watched whilst having a coffee .. straight to the point of basic costs involved . Great 👍 job.
Subbed to your channel 👌
Is stuff from the old van free or not?
Brilliantly done for the money mate. Awesome van 👌🏻
Thank you for setting the nay sayers straight. Well done you. I would have done it the same way. 👍
Well done bud im doing one in 6 months 👍

Great build doesn’t matter if it was £900 or £2000 you’ve done a great job all the negativity they should go give there heads a wobble 👍🏻
What negativity? All people were asking was how could it be done so cheaply. He just answered that question.
Good job mate this explained it better than the other video.
That's a really good clear up video. Thank you
Amazing cheap build
great job
Thanks a million
Nice build. Really inspiring. You got another subscribe
Did you have to sand the sink & tap before spray painting?
Great video and good inspiration
Well we think you have done a Great job its got all that you want. And think your a clever guy
How much did the van cost you?
What is your day job,
Well that showed the doubters that you did do it for the money you said. Well done thought it was a good job.
Hi mate you ever thought about putting solar panels on your roof if so just wondering what ones to use
I did on my last van. I have a full setup but I'm still unsure weather to roof rack it or on the roof. When I decide I'll fit them
@@iNDI_VAN_A_JONES I'm the same new to van life was just looking for ofgrid options got a river flow 2 pro for now
Top man 👍

Can u link the Blinds? Cant find anything and affordable like this.
Things you owned previously or had for sponsorship aren’t “free”, but it’s still a bargain conversion. It’s inspiring for me to do this…
Exactly. "Reptile incubator FREE"
So if I made that van it would cost me atleast £3000 for everything
how much was the van to start with?
Excellent video but the problem is to people like myself who can’t necessarily get deals for free to do some advertising for these company’s it would then mean the build cost be expensive. But cracking video anyway just need to get myself a van now :-)
Cool 🎉
awsome ,, but you need mic ... your voice cant be hear sometimes
Cheers for the tip. I've tried a few mics but none are good so I'm saving for a good one to try
How much for the van though... Isn't it like £500pm on finance? That's a lot of money
£420 but I earn 3x that as passive income so its free because I don't need to work for that money anymore
So if you get the items for the build before you start making it then it's classified as free , okay 😂
Where is this park up mate
All the stuff you say was free as it came out your old van, so when you got it for your old van was it also free? If not, then it isnt free as you paod for it.😂😂😂

You all must be accountants 😮😅😂
Right why not praise his resourcefulness?
Best of luck on your builds. BTW when are you starting?😊

So it’s a £1400 can because no one’s getting free insulation really but all and all still a bargain at £1400
Not 1 appliance was new. Amazing what you find on fb marketplace
What about the insulation all From dodo?? The trips to b and w for hard board no a 900£ build more like bullshit😂
And £20k for the van 😂
by saying its free as its from old van or my house. it was not free was it because you paid for it.
also the insulation was free for you 😂😂 but anyone else its about £800
