    I live in Texas, I call my place “the Psychguru’s Hobby Farm” I have 4 chickens, and I grow food for the chickens and myself! I’m a psychotherapist, and I offer “ Dirt Therapy” ! Living close to the earth is so therapeutic ! We all need to slow down and live at the speed of real life ! People like you give us all hope for the future! Much love to your family!

    Since you like to clean with vinegar, let me make a suggestion. I place orange peels in a jar with vinegar and clean with the new more powerful vinegar. It also has a great scent.

    • @CristyVW
      @CristyVW 5 ปีที่แล้ว +41

      Yup! Orange peels here too...and/or rosemary sprigs are great too!! And a friend recently told me about soaking pine needles in the vinegar as well... maybe that's where 'pine- sol' originally came from?! 🤔

    Friends of my Dad lived in a yurt just like yours. They added another yurt that they bought used and attached it to the main yurt by a breezeway. Keep your eyes and ears out for another yurt and do the same. They made the extra yurt the bedrooms and another bathroom. I loved visiting them during the summer. We all grew up together and still close all these fifty years (or more, lol). They lived in the high desert in California. We so enjoy your videos. Many Blessings and Love from Texas.

    Good morning, something to truly think about. Like the joy of slamming the phone down after a rant on the phone, can't do that with the cell phones. So slamming the door as you lock yourself up in your "own space" doesn't work in a yurt too. LOL! Truly something to truly think about. Having the right partner is the key to surviving that living situation. It's great that you two found the right person! :) Have a great day.

You may not have much indoor living space but you have it going on and seeing how you did it excites me and encourages me to keep going with my dream. You are blessed in so many ways that the small indoor living space is just a tiny sacrifice for what you have. It is awesome that you have a woman that stands by your side through all this, a very beautiful woman at that. We lost a daughter when we were stationed in The Philippines. We understand the challenge of going through that phase of family life. If you have not gone through that experience, you could never really know that horror. I am an American, my wife is a Filipina. We have a small 247 square foot Apartment in Manila and a small home on our very rural,area of The Philippines. Our province is a small islands province in the central part of the archipelago.
    I really enjoy your channel. Your videos are very straight forward and informative. Your goals are very realistic. Please continue to be safe. God bless America.

      Me too!! Enjoying your channel and 'getting to know you all!!'
      We are in the process of fixing our house up (we are in eastern NC) and getting it on the market here (HOPEFULLY!) really soon... (we can see glimmers of light in the tunnel- yayy!) then we are taking our crew (5 out of 6 of us!) in my in- laws RV that we are borrowing and heading 'out west'... western NC that is! 😜
      We want to take some time to explore and feel some of the areas out that we think might be a good fit for our family, before we take the full in plunge and settle on a place to begin our homesteading journey!
      You all are very inspiring!! Thanks so much for opening up your home and your lives to us all!! Blessings to your family!! 💗
      PS Your kids are adorable... and I totally want to thank you... I had my kids watch your kids cleaning g up around the house and SMILING while they were helping out and working!! Very effective motivation you provided there! 👍

    Check out Justin Rhodes tracktor system. He moves his chickens into area where his two dairy cows and sheep were. The chickens fertilize the area from the other animals and the grass takes off. He recently hooked his tractor to his Four wheeler so saved his back and hangs the food and water on the outside. Then this year, with a lot of land, he has been lucky to set up a watering system that he can use as he moves his fences and animals.
