Great stuff mate, this was just the tutorial I needed for creating wavetables, and using resynthesise in Vital. For me the tempo of the tutorial was just spot on, and I really enjoy that you give alot of your own thoughts on why and how you use different settings. Cheers! :)
great, great video Chris, I just got a Micromonsta 2 for live gigs and you just gave me a gamechanging tool in my toolbox. the ability to make super sophisticated wavetables on vital, that I can import into the micromonsta play with in live jams! Awesome dude. I'll bring it to DEFCON next year so we can play with it.
Hey Chris, absolute fantastic, the flexibility and control functions of Vital!! Thanks for showing and explaining it!!! I just tried it today, and it makes a lot of fun. One word beside: to me as a german guy sometimes its a bit difficult to follow (understand) you, because you speak very fast, but anyway, thanks for all your good videos, they helps me a lot :-)
I was just remembering: A good 10 years ago, there was little to nothing to be found about (ambient) PAD design and ambient music on YT. And now...., it's just amazing that you have so many good vids out there...Thanks dude, once again. Ow and don't know if you have other videoas about the design of that bass you use in the track.? Well, I guess there is more to watch for me after this.🙂 That sound is nasty!
Do you think all those synth companies that want an insane amount of hundreds of dollars dollars for their synths, or sample based businesses will be around in the next couple years. It's a great time to make music. Thanks for the inspiring dynamic pad.
Wait... Wait... Are you saying you can create a complex synth using all the fx, lfos, filters, etc. And then essentially "bake" (to borrow A term from 3d modeling) all that down to a simple wavetable???
@@s1gns0fl1fe BTW I'm gonna buy all 3 of your vital packs today. You are seriously talented man, and your videos are a breath of fresh air. Please dont ever change your approach, attitude, or the personality in your videos. They're fun to watch! 🤌👏
Boy oh boy! After your tutorials, I just want to delete all the soft synths I've acquired over the years and just keep Vital around. I'm aware of the current war (no, not THAT one) between Phaseplant, Vital and Serum, with all interested parties claiming victory. Being that I solely compose ambient music these days anyway, me having a laptop with just Cubase 12, Vital, and maybe one or two Arturias around for good measure, should fill the bill nicely.
The free version is the same as the pro version, except less presets and wavetables. The subscription is basically donation to the author, and you get credit for the pro version if you want it. That said, both are great synths in different ways. Serum does sound fantastic, but Vital can too.
Uhh… you CAN buy the highest tier(Pro) for a 1 time payment of only $80. There are lower tiers and free that offer fewer perks but are all the same full features. Of course, 3 seconds of looking would have solved that dilemma for you so maybe you’d be better suited to sample packs and presets🤣
Much love bro
sounds absolutly stunning, thanks for this tutorial!
You are so welcome! Cheers
Lol, just installed Vital and now im receiving a notification you uploaded a tutorial?
I think that's a sign of life 😄
Dude this is awesome and inspiring! Thank you for the info you post.
Thanks for this tutorial. Playtime for me now. And that chord at 9:24, I could listen to that all day :)

I need a live stream calendar. I keep checking in to make sure I don't miss one.

Space Locusts for our Sanity much love Chris talk soon 🔜
the muli band compression for me can get to be too pervasive in the mix if its used on too many elements.
i agree. dry/wet knob is our friend...

Thank you for the feedback! I will try and speak slower in future episodes. Hopefully you can visually follow along. Cheers!
You can slow the video down on TH-cam or turn captions on (CC), which may help.
Astonishing... Not sure I get the whole waveform/transient/timeline connection but it sure sounds remarkable
I’m a classical composer and I learned a ton from DashGlitch! Great to hear the shoutout.
That was awesome! Instant subscribe
Learned so much in 15 minutes. Thanks!
Really cool!
Thank you very much!
Maybe if this kick was just another of your Vital skills in action, a video to get to that could be a goog idea.
holy moly your channel is amazing.
Awesome video. Really want to try this
Another awesome video!
Very very nice, Thanks !!
I found you from Dash!

Mega Cool!
What are those three plugins already in the daw? Honestly when I copy the tutorial my sounds are way cheesier sounding
What do you prefer for ambient, Vital or Omnisphere..? Thanks
Wait... Wait...

Yes, I am. I used to use that term in college. Have fun! 😎

Really cool video and content overall. What Ableton theme are you using?
I got it online somewhere. Google "live 11 themes" and it'll pop up. There are tons of them!
Mindblowing video
How to set Vital to play at 432hz?

As soon as I saw subscription I was out.
Better buying Serum and that’s it, a one of payment.

Everything shown here can be done in the free version.

Great content! Gonna try it
