You need to tell people what kind of screws go into the caddy on this pc. Saying small screws is just not gonna cut it. So I'll do it. M3 4.8mm or 5mm flathead screws. Doesn't matter which.
This reminded me...In the box with my new HP gaming pc, there was a little bag of screws in a plastic bag, along with a quick set-up instruction sheet, etc.. I found it again just now and there are eight of those torx screws for mounting SSD and HDD into the brackets...I scored.
Thank you s much. Literally helped with everything. Only difference was that i had to slide my disk drive out in order to pull the bracket out. Thank you thank you!!!
I have an quick question i have the same desktop like the one in the video I need a new sata hdd cable I just don’t know which one to buy I need help please
I just got one of these today. Thanks for the great tutorial here btw. Question. I'd like to boot up from the 2TB ssd I already have in my slower computer. Will I be able to boot with it? I also have cloned backup and universal restore with Acronis. 256gb is just not enough with all the programs and data intensive work I do.
How many seta cables are inside the PC and what's the max amount of storage devices I can add inside the PC or is it just 1ssd and 1 hard drive or can I just add 2ssds. And thanks for the great video I'm planning on upgrading the ram and storage on this PC(might be a different model tho)
bruh im scared to open mine up i have the same exact one as u but if i fuck up or forget wht order to put it back im screwed as nobody will b able to help me i live with my 84 yr old grandpa so it would b all on me and i got this 4 Christmas last yr so could i use an external one instead?
If you follow the video instructions, you'll do fine, I new to pc too, but I did add ssd to mine. Make sure to watch a video in how to format the ssd caues for me that was the hard part but now it's okay
Sata cable and power cable comes on main board or I need to buy it? I’m asking because when I opened my pc and in fact is the same model like this, my computer came with a few extra cables.
@@NATEZPLAZE I found the ones that came with the pc. The thing is I don’t have the metal rack that you screw the ssd on because I took it off for prior upgrades. And now it’s lost 😢 I’m hoping that I can just plug the ssd in and place it so where on my computer
@@knutsoderman5616 hey mine isn’t being detected in the partition or bios. and i thought it was just dead so i bought a new one and the same exact problem. PLEASE help this is literally making me lose my shit
Hi! My son has this exact PC. He has been asking for more sotrage for Christmas. It's his first PC and neither of us know how to add storage. Is this all I need to do to upgrade his storage? Thanks!
Yup! SDD is better than HDD because HDD has mechanical parts that tend to break or malfunction most of the time. But yes, just need an ssd drive and plug it in with sata cables. Which if he has the same one it should come with sata cables. Hope this helped. 👍
i never thought i'd actually find a video installing the exact ssd i want on the exact same model of my pc but here i am, awsome video man thanks!

What type of screws are needed to mount ssd onto the tray because I ordered mine and I wanna know how to mount it
What kind of screws did you use?
What SATA cable and HP SATA power cable work with that SSD?
Thx bro i bought a 1tb hdd but had no idea how to mount it on that sideways stray holder
I have an quick question i have the same desktop like the one in the video I need a new sata hdd cable I just don’t know which one to buy I need help please
an SSD is better to have games on than a hard drive, correct? because a hard drive is usually slow for running games.
Yes
im getting an hp pavilion 2032 2021 and it has only 256gb and now I know how to add an hdd thanks a lot
Get a 2,5 ssd Its much faster
I bought a larger size hard drive to replace the old one...will it still work?
I have the same computer tower.

Do i need to get new sata cables or do they come inside the case already
What kind of screws should i buy?
Could you help me I bought the 2tb one and installed it but it still says I only got 256 gb
do you know if all hp pcs require the same size ssd's? Or is it different depending on the particular model?
I believe most of them have space for an internal SSD or a HDD. Just depends on what you want.
@@NATEZPLAZE thanks!

@@Treejets 2 seta cables, You can fit 2 ssds or a hard drive and a ssd. Not including the ssd already in the pc
@True Bug yeah if you have an extra cable you should be able to. Or you can replace a current one
@@ilovegaps6956if you get creative you can add more with a SATA PCIe card, and SATA power extension cable.

I just installed my hard drive and my computer can’t find it any tips. I got a Samsung Evo 870.
I think I did something wrong. Followed every step and it doesn’t show up in disc management. Good video tho, feel like I’m almost there now
late but did you format it?

yeah they are like unconnected to anything except for motherboard. they are both black
thanks for the tutorial!
Bro if i install this will i be able to use my 256gb hard drive thats already in the pc to?
Probably already got this answered but yes. It is an additional storage. So you have the 2 terabyte plus the 256gb
So I’m getting the 2tb version and I was wondering if I need to buy cables or not?
did you need to buy the cable or not?
@Donnie95 This computer comes with the cables already

Yo bro thank you for this vid I’ve been needing a ssd for mine and how to install it
Was this an upgrade or adding additional storage just wanted too know if I could add a second ssd and not have too remove the old one
You can add storage. Mine came with 256GB NVMe, and I added an 8TB and 10TB HDDs.
