    One of the few operators iv actually witnessed do this the correct way. Of walking the truck under it so your ripping the living shit out of whatever is under the container while loading it. Great work dude!

      Getting it off is easier then getting it on. I’ll make a new video soon when I get another container. Getting them off I just tilt the bed, un strap the container then once the edge is on the ground I just roll out from under it.

    Was this container empty or loaded with stuff, what is the empty weight of a 20’ container like this?? Thanks!!

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It was empty and they weigh around 5K lbs.

      @@TowMan127 will a roll off load one that is loaded, not capacity but a couple more thousand pounds or do you need a lift to load one loaded?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joecoolcooley6160 depends on how heavy it is and what it’s loaded with. I had one a couple of weeks ago that was loaded and I refused it cause the load wasn’t a stable load. It had things on shelves and stuff that can fall over when taking turns which is super dangerous. They were gonna load it with a crane. The risk wasn’t worth it for me. We have a tandem rollback that can handle the weight so it went into that one.

    I do it the easy fast way so don't have to get done on ur knees, I got a bridle chain with 2 short style J hooks on the end of chain,just lean over an put one of the J hooks in each hole on front of container an put winch hook in bridle O ring at top of the 2 chains, an I have a regular chain hook beside the j hook so if I need to turn a box as I'm witching I just shortened one side of the chain with the little hooks in about 10 sec,,so much faster an safer with less up an down to hook up,an less chance of getting fingers hurt putting chains through holes,,,just look up rollback wrecker equipment or bridle tow chain, different lengths an sizes an different hooks to pick from,

    Where do I start,? I just started working for a company doing this but with a 40’ trailer and I could do a better job. Been a trucker since 06’ and never done it till now. Aztec containers

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are many ways to load a container. This is just one way I do it. Some people like to back the truck underneath the container then drive the truck all the way under container.

    • @marcushennings9513
      @marcushennings9513 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could a tow truck handle a 40 I would think the container would be too heavy in the back?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not my truck but there are flatbeds that can. We have a heavy duty flatbed that moves 40’s all the time.

    Would this work on asphalt/concrete also without ripping it up/grinding against it?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Walking the truck under the container will work but you’ll run out of room eventually so you’ll have to tilt the bed up when you get to the end and lift the end of the container off the ground. Before lifting the bed and container I do suggest securing the container so it doesn’t slide back off the bed.

  • @mikerobinson8040

    How are you making the truck roll back?

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I set the truck up straight with the container then I leave it in neutral and Rev up the engine.

    • @TowMan127
      @TowMan127  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      when I pull the winch it rolls the truck under the container. make sure u left the bed a little once the container is on the bed a little. u want the bed stabilizer legs off the ground so the truck will roll freely. after the container is on the truck before u close the bed and tilt MAKE SURE TO PUT THE TRUCK BACK IN PARK lol
