I've been trying with my friend on ps4 I'm on ps5 we did all the steps and he can't see my sign and I can't see his he's lv 30 and I'm at 180 we used the same PW and everything is it cause the huge level gap?

Imagine Elden Ring with proper co-op.. you and another person can play the game together start to finish, both earning runes and items and entering boss fights and tackling puzzles. Instead we get this weird outdated gimmicky system.
The sad thing is they had a proper co op system in it but the pvp crowd whined until they backed down.
Really is that true?
@@Prawnsacrifice It's true. Look at early previews gaming journalists got to play. They mention that the game finally has a full co-op system where you can play through the entire game with a friend, and both of you progress.

They should of just had a PVP server/PVE server to satisfy both like MMO's do.

I kind of like this way because it makes it feel a lot more earned and I feel like I’m better at the game when I earn these things. Inviting a friend and double teaming every enemy is fun but also when they’re stakes, like losing your souls or if your on your last ember (dark souls 3’s version of a finger) than it made the game more intense and rewarding. Then having to go out and earn a ember was a lot better as time goes on and forces people to play a bit better. That’s my opinion though.
I really don't understand how hardcore souls players are mad if people don't like co op being so complicated.
Elden ring is a new experience with open world and stuff. Definetly feels like the next evolution in souls games. With so much interest and new players, this would have been perfect time to make co op easier and more fun.
I would love to play with my friends and get them in to souls games.
Literally first elden ring gameplay trailer was advertising a new "better and bigger" coop. But turns out its the same trash "coop" from dark souls from 10 years ago

I agree with this weird coop system. Wish we could have a proper coop and both get items ! Hopefully they add this as alot of people want it
Yeah that's how I feel too especially my friends. We were so disappointed that they didn't even seem to bother improving the co-op experience. We love the single player experience but co-op just feels punishing and unfortunately my friends don't even wanna touch co-op until it gets fixed.

i mean in DS3 you were able to have this item that makes you coop and it had infinite usage

What’s the point of doing the password if you have to go find the spot where the person wrote their summon sign?
One of the weakest part about Elden Rings is this convoluted coop system. They purposely made it super difficult to do multi-player to maintain the spirit of a Souls game which might or might not have been the right decision.
Ya. It's not crazy difficult to me and quite a few, but a lot of people play together and for quite a few it's too hard. Don't see why having the option would ruin it for those that don't want to. They already make the opponents have more health. Open travel, horses, ashes(even if limit to one player at a time for both of those), have items for both parties. Wouldn't seem that hard to do
Elden Ring is your first souls like game I see. Its been like this since DS1.

Me and my roommate are having troubles trying to co-op. We did everything in this video, both have over 330mps of speed, same internet, summon pools activated and we can't see each other signs anywhere. Very frustrating.

For sure they need to change this, have a thing where players can join eachother without this sending back to world crap and also level up and play the entire thing together as well as earn gear, and if you want to pvp you can have a setting that blocks invaders while you and your buddy play together.

So for those who don't know you have to defeat the boss in Coastal cave to use the multiplayer I found that out just now
That didn't work, I just beat those 2 bosses. what are you even talking about? This multiplayer stuff is so retarded. I've tried to play with my friends so many times, and it just doesn't work. No summon sign ever appears after using the finger remedy. F*** this stupid a** bull****

Its not, the co op is trash, your buddy that joins get ls no flasks, gear, pickups, level progress and you both cant ride horses, all they get is xp

You're right for friends only. You're wrong if you're saying this is the only way to play multi-player.
If you want to play coop so they can come help you kill bosses with you, you can just use the remedy and click on the gold names near those coop statue outside of dungeons and places. You can also play coop with random players without tackling dungeons just use a remedy while exploring and click on a name that someone have left out in the world but you will still need to he near a coop statue. You only need password if you want your game to be private and if you want your friends to find your game easily
If I use the Furlcalling Remedy, how long range does it have?
Does it last my entire play session so I can see summoning signs everywhere I run?
Or is it like an AoE pulse so I can only see summoning signs close to me when I use it?
Tried using it two different places and I've seen no signs.
@@Woupsme have you activate the coop arc statue too? Make sure you're close to one. You can be a few distance from it and it will still populate players name, just gotta wait until they generate

@@niggawithasword I think he means those little crucified Radagon statues near areas like caves and boss rooms. They expand the summoning pool when you tough them.

The idea is pretty neat. However, if it was simpler the online community would be so much bigger. I’d love to be able to get into a lobby fully of random players that I can play with, learn with, etc… kinda sucks that they did it this way.

So tried it yesterday and lol you literally can't do much both ppl. You can't use graces, horse, teleport, the world owner can't Interact with certain items . It's a shit coop. I think it's only good for boss fights tbh

@@Kymlaar You can get drops from regular enemies and can farm materials as a coop players. But that's about it.
Ive always hated this bullshit co-op experience in every souls game. Only one that did it right was nioh 2. Just let me make a lobby and then start in a spot it shouldn’t be convoluted to play with friends.

You prob won’t get loot if you’re the one being summoned. Beat the boss, leave and summon your friend to help you beat the boss in your world. You’ll still get ruins i believe tho.
You can pick up crafting items but no weapons and such. You also get runes. But it’s not full coop, once an area boss is defeated the summon goes back home
I had a question, when your playing co op can you save a graces? Because I killed the white face guy in the beginning and of someone I know is at the farm spot can they co op me and I save grace so I can have the spot on my own ?

Bought the game days ago after I saw someone stream it and haven't played any other games since. The game as a whole is fun, but co-op has been a blast, especially when I have two other friends to play this game with. I'm still in Lucaria and haven't bothered with the main questline at all. Simply messing around with my friends in the swamp, getting invaded and killing invaders. I realized that this kind of co-op is super dated though, more dated than Lost Planet 2(even they could have 3 friend slots). fromsoftware should really think about expanding the boundaries of multiplayer and making co-op more engraved into the story mode. I get that would be a hell of a lot of work and costly on the servers, yet Elden Ring has been 10/10 for me and my friends.

Co-op is great, it's really satisfying to offer a helping hand and turn the seemingly impossible bosses into a walk in a park. The game cheats so often that it doesn't even feel like cheesing, more like getting revenge. I'm at level 102 and haven't even finished the story yet, just like joining the boss raids.

what is the max amount of friends you can summon? 2 or 3?
Can someone explain to me, summoning pools. I’ve been able to play co op multiples times with my buddy so I know how to do it. However it seems like summoning pools are 1 time use only. If we joined each other at one location, and then went to another location at a different summoning pool and joined each other there… the previous summoning pool would no longer work, unable to see the summon signs on the ground.
And is there any way for the stat debuff you get when entering? I loose soo much hp and crimson tears and co.
I really do not understand why co-op in this game needs to be such a pain. Why not make it easy like Outriders and just invite-summon someone. Dont like jumping throu hoops just for co-op.
For my PS4 I just bought a 1 month PS+ Essential, set my game system settings as you have it, yet the multiplayer & message options aren't clickable. (greyed out)

Do what’s the difference between the Tarnished Furled Finger and Small Golden Effigy? I.e. difference between Creating a summon sign for Co-Op Multi and Co-Op sign for Summoning Pools? My friends and I don’t even know what a Summoning Pool is and we are all Dark Souls Vets.

Me and my friend that lives less than 30 minutes away can't connect even if we try to be in the same world using a 3rd person summoning both of us 1 will not be able to join if the other is there. We have the same ISP, which I believe is the issue, but they claim there shouldn't be any problems and have already came and reset my connection and made sure everything was fine. We are able to play fine with any other person online even our Aussie friend, but can't figure out what's wrong between our summoning. I'd appreciate any help from anyone who might have had the same issue and fixed it somehow. On PS4 btw
Very informational!!! I'm not sure if this was answered so I apologize if I missed it! But is the story's progression/ EXP shared amongst everyone in the party?
Exp would be a runes or soul when killing enemies and it is share but very little and it does not affect the co op partners only the host will make progress and pick up items. The host partners will not receive items drop when defeating a boss.
I passed up the finger severer. Can I go back to the staging area to get it? If so how?

The way coop works in the game.. its terrible. Such a shame we cant simply play together and also progress, see each other without any gross glow and so on.
