    You and Paddy make those 'wee walks' look so easy, he must be the fittest dog in Scotland. I love your colour co-ordinated jackets :).
    Another really enjoyable video, can't wait to get home!

      That's just a trick of editing! 😏 really it takes us several days to do a walk! 🤣. Paddy's wee jacket is so good, without it I cant see him as he blends into the background. Looking forward to getting Germano out on one of these walks!

      It was Tam. The descent off Meall man eun was no fun for me. I had watched your video from before and remembered you saying at the end that the walk back was a nightmare. It took me 7 hours and the last bit seemed to go on for ever..cheers mate. Paul

    Nice one Paul.Some lovely scenery you captured there.I did the route in reverse to you.Pretty boggy either way in or out,lol.Did not enjoy finding my way up the crags that u mentioned and my whole leg disappeared down a hole in the flatish section before them.🤣👍

    I was at Glen Etive for the first time last month doing Ben Starav. I was seriously impressed with the place. This weekend I’m taking the Mrs and 2 boys to camp there. We’ve decided as a family to spend our summers in Scotland camping rather than abroad or caravan parks.
    Great stuff again Paul! ✌️

    • @PAADVENTURES1
      @PAADVENTURES1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Still to do Ben Starav and co...How did you find it? did you do the three? I totally agree....Its either an age thing or the last year has given me a different perspective. Scotland for me for the foreseeable. Cheers for watching. ATB Paul.

      @@PAADVENTURES1 I planned on doing the 3 but that day was hot so we managed to do only Starav. I found it tough but I’ve only been doing Munro’s for just over a year (done 21). It was the drive into Glen Etive just of the A82 (I think) that caught my eye. I found it inspiring. So we have spent a few Bob on all the gear for camping and plan to go away hopefully every 2nd weekend around the Highlands.
      I think it is an age thing with me. I’ve just turned 39. Being in the hills walking is a fantastic day. I’m heading Wednesday to Beinn Dorian myself too.

    • @PAADVENTURES1
      @PAADVENTURES1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@polarbear109p2 Dont sweat it... Its a sea level start so you are doing the full ascent. I have thought about trying to do the three in the coming months..we shall see, my legs aren't getting any younger.getting all the gear Is expensive initially but I am sure it pays for itself especially as a family. I have gathered up stuff over the years but I can never get enough..21 is a good amount for a year! just enjoy the journey and don't get too bogged down in the numbers. Beinn Dorain is great, you should tag on its neighbour Beinn an Dothaidh too. We were up Beinn Mhanach yesterday which is just over the back of these hills. It stands on its own and we tried an alternative to the normal route. all good fun.
      Not promoting myself but have a look at the wee camp spot I found here.

    Another nice one Paul. No sun this time, but you could see where you were going and still got some views, so got lucky again😄.
    Driven past the Glen Etive road hundreds of times, buy only driven down it to the end twice. Sadly not for hillwalking, just for the drive. Last time had my eldest daughter Louise and her two sons with us and she wanted to find the spot on the road where the famous scene from Skyfall, with Daniel Craig and Judy Dench was shot. We managed to find it and recreated the shots for ourselves😄!
    Glen Etive is a special place. Let's hope the hydro scheme and it's new found popularity with a certain kind of wild camper doesn't spoil it.

    • @PAADVENTURES1
      @PAADVENTURES1  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The weather gods forgot about us then! it was great though, a wee bit cooler and much easier to walk in. The views where still amazing though and the cloud sometimes adds a bit of drama. This is my first time to Glen Etive and I can see what I have been missing. The road was really busy with all the construction traffic on the hydro schemes but I never saw one other person on the hill! amazing. I will probably head back there on a week day to catch the other three munros soon. I never got the photo opportunity and don't quite know where it was??? never mind, another time. Have you been back out since Meikle Bin? all the best. Paul.

      @@PAADVENTURES1 I was hoping to get out and do a wee circuit in the Campsites (Cort-ma Law to Lecket Hill) yesterday but, as you know it p****d it down all day. Plan is to try doing that one, and if I'm still OK, I've got my eye on Beinn an Lochan, a Corbett at the Rest and be Thankful as a kind of step up hill. Bigger, but not a HUGE day. Would like to send you a couple of Glen Etive pics. Is there a suitable platform I could do that? (Only if your comfortable with me doing that).

      I was sitting at my desk glad of not being out on the hills! Beinn an Lochan looks amazing! Very dramatic wee ridge walk for a corbett, but nice and short as you say. I have looked at it from every angle but never managed a walk there. I would love to see your photos! I set up an email for TH-cam, its paulagnew69@gmail.com. look forward to them John!, cheers. Grass looks to be getting a little green lower down Paul. We love how you couldn't even keep a straight face this time when you said you were out for a "wee walk". 3 peaks bagged in an afternoon, no biggie! Loved that stream and waterfall that appeared at 4:16, and the wee walk up looked especially enjoyable. We are partial to cascades like that. Blue skies are great and all, but walking among the clouds like that has a special kind of magic doesn't it? Low enough to enjoy, not too low to obscure the views below too much. We can't decide who was having more fun, you, or Patrick. You're a legend Paul, thanks for taking us along on another amazing "wee walk" in the highlands.

    • @PAADVENTURES1
      @PAADVENTURES1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so so much! I found it hard to edit out any of that waterfall footage. Such a beautiful remote place and to be honest the footage doesn't really do it justice. The initial walk up is a great day in itself and adding in a few peaks is a bonus. Paddy loves these walks and is a great wee companion. The forecast was for better weather however the grey skies added to the feeling of the day, solitude and peacefulness with a hint of foreboding. Thanks for watching and for your kind comments. Paul
