Brompton bike packing the Devon C2C, day 2 on to Okehampton and another Dartmoor wild camp

Day 2 of my Devon coast to coast trip. Starting at my wild camp overlooking Burrator Reservoir before travelling up along Drakes trail and the Granite way to Okehampton. I then head back up to Dartmoor for a wet and windy wild camp

Great video Terry, I really enjoyed watching this whole journey up from Plymouth. I know the area because I live in Tamar Valley and I often walk up at Burrator where you were. If you ever go back there try to see the view at toop of Mouintwise in Devonport and cycle along down to Royal Williams yard, then you could go past the ferrry port at Millbay and then round to the Hoe where you started. Maybe the noise could have been an army drone because they do a lot of training around Okehampton at night no doubt.

Such a pity about the rain. You just have to accept it's all part of the adventure.
I remember getting glimpses of Dartmoor prison through the mist and the rain and thinking what a desolate place to put a prison.

Yes I wouldn’t choose rain but sometimes it actually add something to the adventure, if you know what I mean

Thanks, I use an inta 360 one r camera, very happy with it although I believe there’s a new version of it now.

Loved the scenery in this one Terry, in spite of the rain. Great showcase for the Brompton's off-roading skills too. I've always been impressed when I've taken mine on gravel or dirt tracks. Are you still using the Continental Urbans? - Andrew

It was a beautiful ride that day with very varied scenery. Yes I’m still using the Continentals 15 months now and no punctures, I’m pretty sure that’s the longest I’ve gone without one.
