I have my tourniquet in a holster on the front of my gun and it makes it so much easier than trying to fit it anywhere else! 10/10 recommend!

Get the Mic Loop! It’s a great addition to your gear! The micro would be perfect with your Velcro Police patch. Stay safe! 🤙🏼

      @nb31b ปีที่แล้ว

Definitely second this. You can Velcro it right under your police patch and your mic isn’t going anywhere! I run one on mine

We need less female officers. They can get so easily overpowered by men.

I have an external vest also. It’s the point blank model 46. It’s really cool because I can put rifle plates in it. I used to wear all my duty gear on a belt, but after 18 years, my lower back started to hurt. Since I started to wear all my gear on my vest, the lower back pain went away immediately. I would recommend suspenders under the carrier for even more comfort. THE ONLY THING IS YOU SHOULD PROBABLY GET 3 carriers. 2 for duty, and one for training. The carriers need to get washed at least once a week after you sweat in them.

As some one who has worked in the Police overseas, it seems in the US many police officers have to provide their own notebooks which appears to be the case in your video. In many countries, they are supplied by the police force and have numbered pages so you can't rip out a page, that would be used as evidence in court. They must also be retained indefinitely, in case they contain data that needs to be accessed retrospectively. Electronic job sheets are far more detailed and finished at the end of the shift. Is there similar legislation regarding notebooks in the US? I realize there are over 18,000 agencies, so there will be variation. Many thanks

the nypd also have a memobook thats used to journal an officers shift.
entries made to it are considered evidence.
now its electronic as all cops are issued department phones.

Yea that’s how it works in Scotland. We’re not even able to scribble something out if spelled wrong - just a line to show it’s not to be used.

@itsweb1584 that's to document if a mistake was made it will be transparent.
Do you have to initial next to the line do document you crossed out the misspellings?

@@qv6486 yea everything is initiated too. Notebooks got regular checks by sergeants and now our mobile devices are linked to a database called Pronto where all entries are checked too.

Cool looking kit. I’m a cop in the UK, but I’d be really worried about that strap on the back of the vest. Easy for a random attacker to grab a hold of you and you’d have a tough time getting free.

They make Vest Carriers from Oregon City Safariland that zips up in the Front and has zipper Pockets and you could try over the Shoulder and mic on chest
The Vest gets some of the Weight off the Belt

Write in the rain notepads! And depending where you mount your tourniquet you should be able to reach it with either hand.

Just a pointer the big bag you should do away with if it just holds your pen and paper but also if you can put the camera a little more up, and move some of your equipment on your belt to your vest just to take some weight off your back. Just a suggestion but otherwise it's a nice set up ❤

    • @itsweb1584

I’ve noticed in lot of body cam footage that the line of sight of the camera is blocked by a firearm being raised. Lower down might give a better view.

Angel Eyes is about a female officer in Chicago played by Jennifer Lopez. Several years ago a female officer was killed in Chicago who looked like her. It made me realize that she had a story and a past and a family who mourn her.
