    Thank you so much Sis Wilson for an astounding presentation. I love being a student and learning from you.
    Thank you so much for all the amazing learning and beautiful insights.
    The resources you bless us with are just out of this world.
    I love what you said about Cornelius. I think he is an amazing person, I have always been intrigued by Cornelius because he is so different from his culture and the social expectations of his country. He is just so unique.
    The story of Cornelius and his family are a reminder to me of the power of God. The Lord knows everyone and where they are. He knows all his children, and even though they may be in the most unlikeliest of places at times, they are not out of reach to the Lord.
    I think before Peter even arrived on the scene to meet Cornelius, him and his family were already worshipping and praising God in their way. This is a story of warm fuzzies and happy tears. And the thing is, there are many Cornelius people in the world today who are also waiting.
    So beautiful. God bless you Sis Wilson and everyone at SC ♥️.

    Sister Wilson, I listened to Jordan Peterson say something like one like myself , cannot compliment one far more educated, like you . That it would be presumptuous. Please understand when I comment on a lesson with praise to you . I am trying to show gratitude to Scripture Central . That those such as yourself take time to teach all who have ears to listen .

    I learn so much from your lessons. Your excitement of the scriptures are so contagious. The scriptures help me to deal with my husband's dementia. It helps me love him and understand that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know what I'm going through. They will help me to endure. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent of teaching us the insights of the scriptures.

    Interesting how Herod get credit for building the great landscaping features; rather than the slaves that toiled to fulfill his visions/ ideas.

    Why was Saul’s name changed to Paul?

    • @scripturecentralofficial
      @scripturecentralofficial  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Good question! The change from Saul to Paul in the New Testament is not explicitly explained as a direct renaming, but it can be seen as part of Saul's conversion and his new mission as an Apostle of Jesus Christ.
      Saul was a Pharisee and a devout Jew who initially persecuted early Christians. After his dramatic conversion on the road to Damascus, where he encountered the resurrected Christ, he became a devoted follower and missionary of the Christian faith (see Acts 9:1-22). Following his conversion, he is referred to as Paul in the New Testament.
      One possibility for this change is that Saul, being a Roman citizen, already had both a Jewish name (Saul) and a Roman name (Paul). As he started his missionary efforts among the Gentiles (non-Jews), he may have chosen to use his Roman name, Paul, as it would have been more familiar and relatable to the people he was trying to teach. So, the transition from Saul to Paul may reflect the shift in his focus and audience.
      It's important to note that in the scriptures, names carry significance and sometimes are changed to represent a person's new spiritual identity (e.g., Abram to Abraham, Jacob to Israel). In the case of Saul, his transformation to Paul could symbolize his renewed purpose as an Apostle called to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.

    What did not eat blood mean

    • @traczebabe
      @traczebabe ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don’t know if I’m right. It does say in Genesis that when you eat meat, there should be no blood left in it. You need to cook it out. Not to drink the blood of an animal. I’m sure people as well. She said when animal is strangled apparently the blood is in it. There must be something with strangulation & blood that makes it unhealthy to eat.
