I think the Tennessee qb may suffer against that oklahoma defense. Its known that in venables 3rd year of defenses that he always has a top 3 defense in the country. But it should still be a good game.

I am a Red Raider who follows HS football recruiting and I would say the Sooners have every reason to be excited about Jackson Arnold. For one thing, he is about as mentally tough as you can get & proved that in the state title game his JR season when he was running for his life the entire game.
Nico is going to be special. Will probably be the number one pick in the 2026 draft.

@charlie_5918 He has less than a full season of starting. Played half of his freshman year, and was injured in the SEC Opener. We haven't got to see what he is really capable of, which is why he SHOULD be a breakout

I feel as though A&M's, Conner Weigman, should be mentioned in this group. With a shored up O-Line and a new innovative OC (Collin Klein), I think that he could have a breakout season.

The season before that, Johnson was second string to King . And before Weigman got injured, he had the nation's highest QBR(157) in the nation, almost 1,000 yards passing in just three games, 8 TDs and 2 INTs. How many college games has Johnson started compared to Weigman. So, I believe that there is a high ceiling for Weigman. He hasn't even played a full season yet. You mention Sellars and I have to think of a guy with a connection to him: Anthony Colandrea. Sellars was committed to UVA then flipped when Bronco Mendenhall resigned, and Colandrea took his scholarship. While he made some mistakes last year, Colandrea showed flashes as a true freshman and with UVA bringing in some good receiver and OLine help, don't be surprised if he impresses in the fall
Sellers was committed to Syracuse before he flipped to SC.

Whispers "offseason" Got to lover the dedication and entertainment Josh brings. I can agree with all those but in fairness the "19 TDs" against Texas Tech, we had to use our 3rd QB, a true FR, who threw 3 picks in less than a half. We were winning when Behren Morton went down.
I love that Josh said they believe in pronouncing people's names correctly.. one taking shots at certain media members mocking Nico... but more importantly I just believe its respectful to pronounce someone's name correctly. and in Nico's case its not that hard to learn (ee-ah-molly-ahvuh)... compared to some harder names in recent years across multiple programs/schools.
Milroe could absolutely be on this list if gets comfortable with DeBoer. Not saying he will or won’t but if he does it’s a wrap for CFB

Word on the street is that DeBoer is looking for a good opportunity to replace Milroe with Austin Mack at starting QB. DeBoer likes Austin Mack better than Milroe, but needs to wait for the first bad game for Milroe before he can switch to his own guy at QB.

Hanes King at Georgia Tech will lead the ACC is yards and TDs.
To do that, he'll have to start throwing it more to players wearing the same jersey as his.
I'm going to pick D.J. Uiagalelei to get more TD's and yards than Mr. King and we'll get to see both in action when FSU & GT meet in Ireland.

I don't know that Arnold chased Gabriel away, but even if (as should happen) Dillon is better than Jackson this year, having two to four years of Jackson at Oklahoma was better for the program than one more year of Gabriel and losing Jackson.
I think Austin mack is going to have a breakout year. Milro and Mack will compete for the starting job and Deboer might even play both for the first few games. Eventually Mack will win out and pass for 3245 yards and 25 TD and Milroe will transfer

@@shondon205I mean it's not that delusional Mack has a year in the system that Milroe doesn't, he has a he has a better understanding of what the offensive coordinator and coach are expecting, and let's not lie to ourselves Milroe is not the best passer, he probably is the best quarterback athlete at Alabama which was great when they had Seth constantly snapping the ball low and proctor getting abused at the tackle position and you need an athlete to avoid the rush that was not getting blocked but both of those guys have hit the road and transferred. Obviously it's too early to tell anything but there is no guarantee Milroe picks up the new system and continues from last year.

I think Sooners need to temper expectations on Arnold. Year one in the SEC with their schedule, his inexperience, their O line. Could be staring at 5-6 losses.
We will win more games than that, Arnold will get better and the defense will be better, returning a bunch of starters and recruited well, 8-4 at least.

@@Andy-White I’m not ignoring it, i think the o line will be figured out by SEC play. Arnold will be ok, he will have several games to get more comfortable and the game will slow down. The team will be better in other places too, the skill positions will be better overall and the defense should be better.

Don't skip on Taylen Green. Petrinos first minute on the job at Arkansas, he called Taylen Green. His second call was the big back out of Utah. I'm excited to see what Petrino does uninhibited as the OC. Arkansas has everything to gain and nothing to lose. Pittman is going to turn Petrino loose.
