Do you want it? [Refrain] Mother would you take me, and on, and on For I have nothing, no more baby, she's gone, and on (3, 4) [Bridge] I tried to take the word on what you said I tried to take the word but the word was dead I did not want it And in the light of day it all seemed well Or was it just a dream, she could not tell With how she wanted it? Oh Do you want it? Oh [Verse 4] Just imagine a life with a baby and wife What the times would look like when compared to the night But the money's not there so you sit in despair Curse at the sky when the quiet's not there Do you want it? Oh now Do you want it? Oh [Bridge] For after all, the autumn eve lead to a fate no-one believed Taken to the table where she wrote, she held herself a vote A vote between the good and bad, with all she'd seen and all she'd had Nancy tried to take the night, but now she's gone removed from sight [Refrain] And now oh, mother would you take me, and on, and on For I have nothing but my baby, she's gone, and on [Outro] If I could take it back now Would I take it back now? If he could take it (yeah) back (mm) now Would he take it all back now? Nancy took the night and she's gone, and on
@@zshtYeah, I think that’s as good as he could’ve been there. I don’t think he was trying to be an asshole, just trying to laugh it off while fixing the situation.
@@zsht Nah you're crazy for thinking that. Do you know how much of a distraction that is for a live performer? Also it's not like they told him to fuck off, they just let him know that he was ruining the sound and to move ASAP
I miss Isaac so fucking much that it's crazy. Love the new stuff, but he really was something else, right? I pray to god that he does something in the future.
He might eventually be interested in coming back to a band where the singing and songwriting load is shared around. Destroys some bands having multiple people writing and singing but it makes others.
God this band is something else. Their lyrics, sound, and performance is just such an inspiration... Even if the camera guy tries to get a little too close lol. 😅
i have to say, i really like bcnr in all the live videos I've seen. they set up in a half circle to show the crowd/audience every member is the same or equal
this is one of their unreleased tracks! they've been playing it at recent shows to showcase their upcoming material for their next album, so expect it to be on their next release sometime soon hopefully! :-)
Can't help but feel conflicted, under Isaac, BCNR were a truly revolutionary punk band. The new music is beautiful, but it doesn't excite me the same way that Isaac was tearing a new space in post punk. BCNR now sound like a decent indie folk band, but I can't help but feel indie music in Britain has truly lost something, and I don't think the new music is quite living up to its place
They were never even doing post punk, they did experimental post rock, added country/folk influences in the second album to that sound and now they're just continuing on that direction. Don't judge music on what it never even tried to be.
It's a tragedy what losing Isaac did to this band. There's just a layer of real sincerity and otherness that feels absent now. There was a scorn about him that felt so refreshing and exciting and to be honest, now I'm just hearing Laura Marling read an entry from Bridget Jones' diary. The music itself still retains something interesting, but the tone and the messaging has become much more ten a penny. I wish them the best regardless. BNCR truly felt like a watershed in British music with those first two records and those songs will never go anywhere!
Both iterations of BCNR are great, but they're very different. Isaac was one of a kind. But I'd rather have just 2 albums with him that are great, rather than have him continue despite being burned out. As for new BCNR, I'd say their new stuff is very good. Especially when you consider that they've only been doing their new approach for a year. I think we can expect great things.
I can hardly write I didn't share those statements. What Isaac brought to this group would never be replaced. And those two first records will never be matched. Nevertheless, Isaac wouldn't achieve this task alone. Even if his contribution is massive and gives these opus their final and unique taste, it was a collective work. And the beauty of it was in great part also due to this feeling of collective work. The amazing beauty of their live performances was the product of the whole band, of each part of it. The fact that Isaac was not standing in the middle of the band on stage was not a detail. It was a statement. And it was absolutely beautiful. I got the luck to be at one this latest show, and the joy that this experience brings me was equally due to each one them. They were, the whole group, together, amazing. BNCR remains a collection of talents that had to find its own musical identity. Even without Isaac, BCNR remains above the common. Keep in mind this young group V.2 is under construction. To my opinion, this song is good proposition. And I really wish them the best.
Love when the cameraman stands on something behind the girl causing crackling noises! Had to stop listening after that due to the guitars being out of tune. It sounded like a beginners class.
Its interesting and her singing is pretty and unique. But god its barely listenable (especially the first couple minutes). Youve gotta be on some level 99 fantano lifting skinny fists hipster cred to enjoy this song from start to finish. Be honest.
i dont know why you would bother continuing after the most interesting member/element of your band leaves (i don't actually like them that much but can appreciate why people did)
keep in mind this is definitely the worst performance they’ve done of this song, usually the beginning guitar part sounds a lot less weird. i’m pretty sure they were having sound issues at this show
[Verse 1]

What is the song about?
it sounds a bit more to me like "theres a time and a place and the place, that is now" but idk if yours are the official lyrics or not
i NEED the third studio album, if its gonna have bangers like this and what we saw at bush hall, it just keeps getting better
Rather like Joanna Newsom (May's idol) strange half-formed live versions leading to beautiful studio recordings.
good to know luke does the guitar-hugging thing with acoustic guitars as well
I got to meet him after a show, and I chuckled cause he gave me a hug and it was really solid and all I could think of was the guitar hug he does
Banjo Charlie was on no one's bingo card but we're all happy to have lost.
these new songs go insane
Felt bad for the camera guy stepping in the cables and making the sound crack, and the guitarist shaking head at him, I would feel terrible, lol
The sign of a bad human, is making someone feel awful for an honest and minor error

What a beautiful song. The live version with Ichiko Aoba won't be toppled any time soon, unfortunately
Well, I like Ichiko a lot, and that show was cool. But in that song I dont think she added a lot, she as just jamming a little.
This is só beautiful, thank you!
I love you BCNR friends forever

really good song. how are We getting this little of camera time on May.

I kinda get Jethro Tull "Minstrel in the Gallery" vibes... which is to say it's awesome.

They are collectively the new Kate Bush. Marching to the beat of their own drum but coming up with challenging music that has crossover appeal.

Did they lose their violin player?
Georgia is currently on tour with Jockstrap so they have Nina replacing her :)
