Igor Krutoi always preferred to work with truly talented singers only.
This song was written for Alla Pugacheva, who was very popular in the USSR. They call her "Premadonna", which means Alla stands higher than Madonna.
Dimash performed this song first at the Crocus City Hall (not Kremlin), the consert was devoted to Alla Pugacheva.
And he inputted the "Ave Maria" part into this song. So Dimash gave second life to Igor Krutoi's masterpiece.
Alla Borisovna is a great singer, but she could never sing such high notes.

I love this song and this performance - it’s a masterpiece!
Just wanted to correct something, though - many people seem to think this took place at the Kremlin, but actually it was at the Crocus City Hall, also in Moscow. It was part of a concert called ‘Gift for Alla’, which was a tribute from various artists to Alla Pugacheva on her 70th birthday; she herself had her own concert at the Kremlin to celebrate her birthday (which is where I think the confusion arose).

This is in my opinion the best version of Love is like a dream. The stage, the grand piano and the orchestra, Dimash singing in a very intimate and subtle way, taking time to tell the story and almost reflecting about his feelings … that’s beautiful. The Slavic Bazaar version was different but specially the stage and ambience were not as enjoyable as the Kremlin version. 🎤❤️🌹🌹👏👏👏👏👏👏🔝🔝

The first time I ever watched this, the AVE MARIA, AVE AMOR part had me sobbing for 5 minutes straight. I’d never heard anything so beautiful. Of course, since, Dimash has given us many more of these moments, and even a whole song of them. But this song will always be special to me. A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿 Edited to add: it was Dimash’s idea to add the AVE MARIA part p.s. I always thought that sound right before the AVE MARIA part was a gunshot (which is so not Dimash, but the sound of it reminds me of how they made guns sound in old Western cowboy movies). If anyone knows, please tell me :) p.p.s. Stranger’s ending F#5 is 19.5 seconds, but with perfectly spinning vibrato at the same time. So, he upped his game a bit 🤯🤯🤯

Dimash has totally rocked my world since I 'discovered' him last Xmas, I can't stop listening to him ever since it is more infectious than any virus, Dimash is much much more than the high notes, it's the whole package his handsome good looks, beautiful personality, charisma, magnificent wide range voice, heart felt emotions, showmanship & stage presence, it's a beautiful phenomenon !!

I read a comment on another reaction that said the song is sung in three parts: the middle part is the dream and when he stops near the end & looks around, he is coming out of the dream & realizing how much he loves the dream and the girl. I think he was silent for too long, making the audience think he was done and it kind of spoils the flow. Still one of my favorite videos; I have to watch it at least once a night. Also, the lyrics are so beautiful.

This is one of my top 3! This song is an old song, kind of a pop song Krutoy composed years ago and is vary famous there. It was a woman's perspective. Dimash did a very different version of it from a man's perspective. It was Dimash's idea to include the "Ave Maria" part. The music title is "Lyubovʹ, pokhozhaya na son" (transliteration). You can listen to how many times he sings that in this song, every time in a different way, a different emotion. A mastepiece. Hug from Brazil!
Dear friend! Thanks for the reaction. Russian composer Igor Krutoy wrote this song in 1994. And Dimash was born in 1994. This song was sung by many good singers. The song was popular in Russia. And so, Dimash grew up, became a singer and sang this famous song. But he sang this love song in a different way, more slowly. The lyrics of the song got a different meaning. And, most importantly, Dimash included three inserts in the song: AVE MARIA, AVE AMOR and angelic vocals. Such inserts will not allow any other singer to make today. These inserts turned the song into something magical. The final vocalization lasted 16 seconds.

This performance is from a 2019 concert in Moscow to celebrate the 70th birthday of the Russian singer Alla Pugacheva. Igor Krutoy wrote this song for Alla many years ago - before Dimash was born, I believe!
This is absolutely one of his best performances. I love it, really melts me on some of those awesome tones. I am afraid the Slavic Bizarre was totally ruined for me because he used a lower register and that made all his other awesome tones different and just not the same ones that really resonated with me and made me melt. Slavic. Bizarre definitely wasn’t an improvement on this one which is perfection

Dimash also sit longer in his lower register in Olimpico, Love of Tired Swans, Omir Oter, Thousands of Miles (2020 version) and in a few songs (Ullise and Ti Amo Cosi) he sang with female Opera singers where he basically maintained his voice at the baritone level throughout the songs.

Sorry to dimash but I really didn’t like the Slavic bizarre version. Totally spoilt it by not using those awesome tones that just melt me. It put the whole performance in a tone that was just missing something. This version is perfection
