So good!!!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great idea ❤
Glad to help!
Thank you SO much!!! Love all your lessons 🙏🏻 You are a blessing ❤
You are so welcome!
Record yourself singing something regularly before you do the exercises and record again after. Just one exercise was mind blowing to me.
Thanks Charmaine!
Yes I love how helpful the exercises are! So glad you experienced that!
What a timely video. I was literally going to ask some questions in the FB group about using a straw. I recently saw singer on IG promoting a vocal straw and it's quite expensive. I was wondering if it was a gimmick. So, it sounds like the vocal straw phonation is legit but no need to spend a lot of money on a gold or silver straw when you can simply use penne pasta. LOL. Thanks Charmaine.
Haha! True! The only nice thing about those straw packages is that you often get multiple sizes to try. But you can absolutely source them yourself or just use what you have!
Hi, I tried this, and I noticed that the sound that came out is like trembling when I tried singing a song. Am I doing it wrong?
Hi, found your channel though I'm looking for a speech coach. I do like to sing, do you think these exercises will improve my speaking voice by doing them as well as my singing voice?
Yes they will improve the overall tone of the voice which will help with speaking!
Before menopause i sing like Minnie Riperton. After now its there but my middle voice has been a problem.
Mix voice exercises to strengthen your vocal transition spot will be especially useful!
@@worshipvocalist 👍 Thank you 🙏 so much! Sounds like wonderful advice, I will certainly try this, and I will let you know how it works for me 😀.!
I wanted to ask does menopause cause your higher register to become weaker? When i use the straw i can hit G6 or G4, but without it ,my voice feels like its weak lately. Does menopause cause this?
Menopause can affect the voice yes - but don't be concerned about it being a lasting effect! Give the voice lots of rest, healthy food and nutrients, exercise, etc. - and strategic vocal training to strengthen the voice is also so helpful!
@@worshipvocalist Okay!!! Thank you so much ☺️!!!!
Vocal cords not being symmetrical..interesting. I’ll give it a try Charmaine.
Yes give it a try and see how it goes!
What is your experience, do you prefer Straw Singing or Lax Vox? What's the difference for you?
I didn't get into that in this particular video, but I love straw singing in water as well! Both are great - if I have water and a straw then I typically use that as a warmup/warmdown!
I wonder if I, when I was a child, was inadvertently getting training while playing a kazoo.
For sure!
Yes I agree 💯, and it’s disheartening.
Keep practicing and you will improve!
