Wow.....I'd hate to see the un-edited version of this comment. There's always going to be pre-release kits out there. The B6/B6d have almost taken on the iPhone shenanigans, at least in the RC World

yeah my friend let me drive his B5M and i was expecting the rear to be loose and to have constant oversteer but it was if anything more balanced then my rear engine 22 Losi
Well, technically AE is still on the "6 series" for buggies, although it's the B6.3 now. Some parts will be cross compatible, but if you want the latest, grab the 6.3
This buggy can easily accept the laydown transmission (from what I hear, a laydown kit from AE is being put together right now) if the grip gets really high.

The B5M was the first official mid motor buggy from Team Associated. The B5 was a rear motor and B5M a mid motor. The B6/B6D allows for a huge swing of traction from carpet to loose dirt all with a mid motor (laydown tranny in the B6 and stand up in the B6D) They've also made several advancements to make these buggies almost drive themselves. As soon as I get more familiar, I will report more of the differences
Pinion will depend on Mod or stock. As an example, I am running the smaller of the two spur's included in the kit (which is a stock spur) and a 31t pinion - which works good on my track for the straights
In my opinion idc there is no wheels, you get way more in the box for less price against like the 22 3.0 so those of you griping about no wheels don't you get almost everything to be competitive
Never had an XRay before....I think if you live in the states, you'll have better part support and driver network for track set up. That goes along with the purchase price on these kits. I'm sure the Xray is amazing, but dollar for dollar, the AE is amazing

Yeah, the B6 is mostly for carpet or astroturf tracks in Europe and Eastern US

I am going to be getting a b6d should I go stock or mod? This is my first time racing 2wd buggy and what electronics should I get? I am a 1/10 newb
Stock will teach you how to drive. Once you have mastered 2wd, you can graduate to mod.
