At the beginning of Seaspm 1 Doyle pointed out the need for Angel to connect that if it became just about the numbers he would not have any empathy for the people he was supposed to help.
Sunnydale is 'not exactly a haven for the brothers' so it's nice in L.A. we get a black character who is a good guy and becomes part of the main cast.

A great opener to S2 the show in Judgment. 'The Host' ( as he is known at this point ) making Angel sing a terrible rendition of Mandy by Barry Manilow just painfully funny. The look on the Demons faces is hilarious listening to it. A touching scene at the end with Angel visiting Faith in prison. Great to see Gunn on the team too a super addition to the gang.
