One of the best modifications I've done to date with my C5 Corvette is ditching the stock "sport" seats for a pair of aftermarket bucket seats. It's a classic case of "you don't know what you're missing out on" if you've only ever experienced the stock seats in these cars!

Do you loose your power seat option by this conversion?

Yes you do. These have a manual slider and these seats can be optioned with a manually pumped lumbar support.

Question, what options does your Corbeau A4's have (have the options or in standard form)? And was there a difference in headroom going from the stock seats to the Corbeau seats?

Mine are pretty standard. I didn’t add any options like the harness cutout or the inflatable lumbar supports. I’m 5’8” and I had my stock power seats in a slightly lower the normal position. With the seat brackets and these mounting directly to the seat brackets, the height feels right about the same when sitting in the A4s. I’ll have to double check how much head room I have

@@Addimotive okay cool, thank you. Cause I'm in the market for a C5 Corvette, and have been in some of them to see if I fit (being 6'4). For all of them, I would want to get the seats with the shave down base, which is to bring it down to an inch or 2 (possibly more) for the head room.

I switched to C6 retractors but had to shave the tongue down to make it fit the C5 seat belt receiver. Make sure they are absolutely level before tightening lol or they won’t move

Oh interesting! Do the C6 seat sliders allow the seats to sit lower?

@@Addimotive yes and there’s no need to try and put the passenger seat in the driver side

C7 and C8 seats bolt right in too!

I’ve seen another video on TH-cam of a C5 with C8 seats, looks pretty sweet! The C7 sport seats I’m sure would look pretty awesome too.
