@@brownboy534 these situations are more complicated than “he is legally allowed to open carry, so you can’t violate his constitutional rights”! In this particular situation, the man was pulled over for a traffic violation! It was then made clear that the car was not legally registered/ insured! He was then legally detained while they ran his license to drive, registration, car insurance and permits to carry! In this scenario, it’s not only legal to disarm him while they verify his information, it’s also common sense to do so.

I get what you are saying and I agree with you but the real issue is that its very hard to be respectful and cooperative when those same people have treated you like shit and you have a chip on your shoulder from that treatment.
Let me tell you a story. I am from Jamaica and back in the day I was a reserve soldier and worked as a Clerk of Court at the family court.
Now , wearing cammo is actually illegal in Jamaica if you are not military. one monday evening I was coming from work and was accosted by a police patrol. They drove the same old US army jeeps. Buddy jumped out , grabbed me by the back of my cammo fatigues and said take this fucking thing off. When i tried to tell him that I had training that weekend and was coming from work because I didn't have time to change he simply used a knife to rip my Jacket and then emptied my pockets on the ground . He then tried to kick y legs out from under me and because he failed he butted me with his AR 18.
Now, the thing is we sometimes had joint police military patrols so it wasn't hard to find out which patrol did this and my CO arranged for us to patrol with two military jeeps and one cop jeep. You of course can imagine their surprise when we confronted them in one of the many lonely back streets and explained that we were going to have a chat with the one who fcked with me. To be honest we didn't actually do anything but for years I had a massive chip on my shoulder against every cop I met even though I had to interact with many cops on a daily basis. I wont lie, I massacred them in court at every opportunity and only lost that hatred long after I left the family court and migrated.

I’ve only been alive for 28 years but I’ve notice something. Most the time (not all), you get what you put out to people. If you’re calm, polite, keep a level head and drop your pride, others will do the same to you. But a lot of people don’t have the self control to do so. This video shows what being polite can get you.

Like you said in the video you can understand why the cops would be hesitant. Don't know the area you where pulled over in but Baltimore is one of the highest areas for violent crime and pulling over a car with expired registration with a male who is heavily armed with face tats and who has a mask on with tinted windows could be nerve racking. I have to give credit to the cops for putting aside preconceived notions and your ability to well articulate and joke around in a stressful situation aiding in keeping everything com. This point blank was how I would hope most traffic stops like this would go.
