A really interesting concept would be what if Germany never annexed Alcase-Lorraine? Bismark himself was against it. And it would allow him his vision of Germany being a neutral power taking the backseat in foreign affairs. And would allow germany far more diplomatic flexibility, it may also mean no world war ever.
On a similar note, what if the french political crisis caused occitània and Brittany to get independance destroying the french-German rivalry by weakening France

I realize that my scenario i pretty much impossible, but was always fascinated by the alliance and how it might work in a alternate WW1. I honestly think a war would only break out in the 1890s - 1900s as i have trust in Bismarck as a master Diplomat.
But with Wilhelm II beeing more reckless and Nicholas II wanting to prove himself it finally happens.
And by then the Holy Alliance is obviously the favourite

I really dislike how you always say "so yeah everything is normal, but then Austria randomly collapses", completely ignoring the REAL reasons Austria collapsed like irridentist powers wanting to end it + food shortages.
A blockade causes food shortages y'know... and the hungarians weren't fans of the empire in the scenario... and the rest of the minorities didn't like it either, like, you expect austria to survive when it has like eleven major ethnic groups?

I am unsure whether an Italian War against Austria would happen in a way similar to our own timeline because Sardinia Piedmont gained a lot of their diplomatic reputation from their participation in the Crimean War, which doesn't happen. This was key to the eventual agreement signed between them and France. If anything, they probably just wait until Austria has another 1848 style uprising or ends up in a war with another power to attack.

Had Denmark and Sweden never existed geograghically then Norway likely wouldn't really exist as we know it, without immigration into the peninsula from Finland into Sweden then the Northern regions likely wouldn't have become as populated as they are today. The Sami people are tough but they'd be idiots to settle in the Norwegian mountains where basically nothing exists. As for the Southern part of Norway it probably would have a lesser population which are completely reliant on the fishing industry, and are likely of German or English heritage. Norway likely would've had little to zero relevance on the European stage until oil is discovered, and without Denmark the Danish strait doesn't exist and the various countries touching the Baltic Sea would have essentially free access to the Atlantic Ocean, thus Norway couldn't even impose travel taxes like the Danish did as the strait would be too big to police.
In short, in a world without Sweden and Denmark, Norway would likely be completely fucked and would probably only be a backwater state like that of a Balkan country, or Iceland without the vulcanos.

I understand why you made this video, but Austria just standing idly while Prussia is gaining so much influence in Germany is just stupid. They would have at least tried to diplomatically tie some nations to them, like Bavaria. As you can see in the Austro-Prussian war, many nations were against Prussian Hegemony in Germany and probably would have aligned themselves with Austria in this scenario. The other members would probably also send some kind of support to Austria in a war against a Piedmont-France coalition, as they would be natural enemies of a the conservative Alliance. Also portraying Austria as this overly weak country is just annoying. Yes they were the weakest of the three, but when their in full control of Hungary, not being held back by their Vetos and demands, they'd be much stronger than in our timeline. Anyway, a Hungarian Revolution would have never succeeded in this timeline, since many troops could have been dispatched from the stagnant front lines. And the Italians being able to push into Tyrole is just nonsense.

Like Napoleon leading France, Stalin in charge of the USSR, and so on, all at the same time.

If Prague was the capital city of Habsburg monarchy, then in year 1619, durig the Bohemian Revolt in Prague, then the rovelters conquered the capital city of Habsburg monarchy - Prague and Ferdinand 2nd surrendered and Frederick 5th of Palatinate become king of the Habsburg monarchy. In year 1685 when Frederick's grandson Charles 2nd died without sons, his brother-in-law (brother of his wife) Christian 5th Danish and Norwegian king became king of Danubian kingdom (Habsburg monarchy). In reality in year 1740 Frederick 2nd (Prussian king) attacked Silesia because of destability of Habsburg monarchy and because of someone's non-recognition of Maria Theresa as queen, but in this alternative history it didn't happened, because Oldenburg monarchy (Habsburg monarchy and Denmark-Norway) was stable, everyone recognize Christian 6th as king and Oldenburg monarchy was more times bigger than Prussia. In year 1814 after the unsucceful Norwegian war of indepence the Oldenburg monarchy became federation of three states - Norway, Denmark and Danubia. After 50 years in year 1867 the federak state Danubia splits into 2 federal states - Bohemia and Hungary. In this alternative history duke Franz Ferdinand wasn't assassinated, but successor to the throne and first born son of Christian 10th - Frederick instead. The great war was going on just like in Reality. If the great war win Triple Alliance, then Knut Christian (second born son of Christian 10th) ruled the Denmark-Norway and the part of Oldenburg monarchy in Central Europe (Federal states Bohemia and Hungary) was split like in reality, but Silesia and North and South Lusatia were part of Czechoslovakia.

Can you do what if the tsar or provisional government somehow in some way, kept power in russia? The reasoning behind those 2 choices is to use realism to try and say which one is more realistic, my personal bet is locked in on the provisional government if I had to choose due to the lack of support for the tsar, in this scenario the people do not go Bolshevik and understand that they need to wait out and hold for exhaust in the central powers to hugely lower moral and economic stress from the war to hit or for another nation to join in on the war on the side of the entente. This is probably not the most realistic way to do it but overall the best way I can think of. This, of course, has it's flaws taking Russian economics into factor, but most certainly better than "oh Russia takes berlin, Budapest, and Vienna" NO! None of that too unrealistic stuff even for alternate history. So yeah, my setup for the scenario. Quick recap: tsar either abdicates or doesn't depending on which one you choose based of realism, provisional government is established, the people realize that they need to hold out if they want stability despite what they are going through at the moment, possibly by the government issuing basic essentials to those who can't afford food, and stability achieved somehow as they hold. End of setup and suggestion

Russia was always extremely lose on a potential alliance, for an example let's take the Prussian invasion of Denmark in 1848, where Russia multiple times addressed to Prussia, they would invade them, and would destroy them if they continued the war, forcing Prussia to back down out of fear.

come to think of it, the warsaw pact was pretty much a recreation of this alliance, albeit with completely different governments, politics, ideology, time frame, etc.

- Never has the possibility to maintain and advance her interests intact

@@PerOlemannBobsenXVII treating it as an inevitable outcome is not realistic in my view. The Habsburg monarchy was not doomed to die nor to fail. Honestly an excellent brief video on this is by the channel “Old Britannia”, it’s about the recovery of the Habsburg Empire between 1848-1852 under Minister President Felix von Schwarzenberg.

The second war of Italian Independence may have never happened without the Crimean war and the butterfly effect and the Franco Prussian war would likely also not happen as Prussia would be in a worse position and have their hands tied by Austria unless France starts the conflict like irl which could happen however Prussia not calling for Austria to join doesn't mean that much since they are in the same confederation meaning Austria would likely still join the war if it had a good justification
