How to Get Rid of Cucumber Beetles without Sprays or Row Covers!

Cucumber beetles are a big problem in Maine and in many parts of the country. This is my second year successfully managing them in my garden organically without the use of row covers, sprays, or other pesticides, so I thought I'd share!

Indeed, hand picking seems to be the only way to go. I tried all suggested sprays, and dusts, and traps, yet only hand picking saved my plants. For the next year, I am planning to plant a parthenocarpic variety and keep the plants under the net all the time.

I do the same thing but I use tweezers and drop them in a small jar with neem oil :) also they hand in all the flowers and they love squash flowers and YES THEY DO EAT FRUIT they bore little holes if left to multiply !!! I HATE THEM
