20 years in Freehold Twp 16-1, 90 to 2004 and never saw this ever. Usually kept to a room in content. I've never seen an entire home disappear and I've never seen one torn down at the scene. Crazy. Glad all are safe. Sorry to homeowners but it kinda looked empty.

So much for a fire investigation

Maybe an investigation wasn't required. The homeowner may have told the Chief what started the fire, and he accepted the explanation.

Here’s the deal, NOBODY could afford to pay the taxes to fully fund paid departments. Bedroom communities can’t do it. You gotta have commercial/industrial tax base to fund. That’s the risk, accept it or don’t live there. Was a vollie in south Jersey for 13 years. No way could we have afforded paid people. And here’s another New Jersey secret, ( unless it’s been changed) No part time paid firemen, any paid firemen must be full time and membership in the IAFF. There you go.
