It possible that Sonic will be the one to change Shadow's mind, after all he lost his mother at the start of the first sonic Movie. Who better to help a hedgehog experiencing pain and loss than a hedgehog experiencing pain and loss himself.
I agree. Also, there's a possibility that Sonic will have to experience more pain and loss in this third movie. I don't know if they'll dare, but I think it'd do wonders in terms of character development.
Well in the trailer it shows signs that Sonic gets a bit more serious. And Shadow wasn't messing around. Also if Amy is a no show perhaps that kid from the first two movies will fill that roll to change Shadow's mind since she's probably around Maria's age. Kind of like how Chris did in Sonic X. Except everyone doesn't hate her.
Well, the movie isn't meant to be an actual adaptation of Sonic Adventure 2. It does borrow elements from that game but ultimately has its own story. A simple comparison between what happened in SA1 and the first two Sonic movies should be enough for it to be clear that this won't and can't be a truly faithful adaptation of SA2 (emphasis on the "can't"). SA2 couldn't exist the way it did without SA1. Thus, should the movie try too hard to emulate SA2 without the proper... buildup, without the proper background for the characters (especially as that would require involvement from characters which currently have no ties with the movie characters), that'd be spelling disaster.
@@sonickwabs91 No worries. I perceive no rudeness there. I agree with you about the principle of keeping the core bits. Or at least as much as they can without breaking the movies' canon. And I think that's what they're doing, even if they refrain from introducing Rouge and Amy for the bigger picture's sake. It's a side note I wanted to add to the first comment but I think that in this iteration of the story, it would be better if Sonic was the one to reason with Shadow about his promise to Maria, given what happened with Longclaw and what might happen to Tom. I think their character development would benefit from confrontation based on the way they approach loss.
They aren't trying to copy the tone of Sonic Adventure 2, though, so I guess they have nothing to worry about. The pop culture references have made people laugh. I've seen it. He'll probably keep doing it. I was totally expecting it to be the way it was because it's the third installment coming after the first 2 movies. It's not gonna suddenly change. I expected it to make adjustments to inch towards a more mature and edgy tone, but not completely. It's channeling Sonic Adventure 2. Not adapting it. It's going to be otherwise an original plot. I'm not expecting to know the story or any of the tone, motivation, or scenes.
I feel like your missing one thing...THIS IS NOT A SONIC ADVENTURE 2 MOVIE. They're doing their own thing. It's just gonna take insperation. Yes shadow's backstory will be the same but his redamption arc could be way different here. And who said this is gonna go for the same vibe as adventure 2? Yes it's gonna be serious but not one to one the same. And about amy and rouge not being in the movie, I didn't expect them to be even before the trailer. I would wish rouge was because for me she is important for shadow's arc. But like amy any human character can replace her role in the movie. It was obvious since sonic 2 the sonic movie franchise are doing they're own thing. Taking insperation but not quite the same. Also sorry if I come off rude it is not my intention😅
As long as the fight scenes are good, I honestly don't care if they get Shadow's origin wrong. Would have preferred if Amy and Rouge were in the movie, over those 2 wack humans, Gerald and Maria.

I don't think Amy is showing up
Sonic seems to be a lot more serious

This doesn't have to be an SA2 adaption, it doesn't have to be EXACTLY like SA2's story, just take the core bits of it, sorry if I come off as rude 😅

I did say they didn't have to copy the story of Sonic Adventure 2, just take the important part of it.

@@sonickwabs91 Oh okay. And don't worry you didn't came off as rude.
this isnt sa2 movie, its has its own story and i dont really kind that
I don't really get what you're saying, but I never said it had to be a Sonic Adventure 2 movie. Sorry if I come off as rude😅

What I meant is that they can do their own story but keep the important stuff from the game.
@sonickwabs91 yeah nut in the video ur asking for rouge nlnf amy js bc they were pretty important in the game except for amy no one likes her
@@jakebffr0Amy is one of the best characters in the franchise! if you hate her you don't know her!
