Looks like a lot of fun! It reminds me of Tahiti. It looks exactly like Tahiti from the air and from land. Even the infrastructure is similar. The food setups look better than Tahiti though. I wonder if Maldives is $800 a night like Tahiti, not including food!
I was there in August. Good fun without being unnecessarily perfect. A bit susceptible to the mercy of the winds and 6-8ft rogies but a great spot. Nice video.
I just booked a surf trip to the Maldives for next year, me and two friends are gonna be in a boat for 10 days with other 4 people going around the Maldives Best surf spots. I can't wait for it
How would you rate your experience thinking of going to that exact resort for my honeymoon. Of course since I really want to surf just a added bonus haha
I went to a different resort in the Maldives where they also welcomed us with a ceremony Tired from the long flight and overwhelmed with jet lag, I said "welcome" to every single staff on the jetty My girlfriend still tease me to this day fml
Good waves can be “easier”. There’s a definite take off area, more room to move on the face, and peeling walls instead of shitty close outs. Easier to practice your turns and more speed on tap.
Good surfing. Just remember,on your backside cutbacks to look as far over your left shoulder as possible. Your board goes where your head goes, resulting in a harder cutback.
Hi Kale. With all that travel, you've blown your carbon footprint this year. Think about it next time, because those Maldives that delighted you so much will soon be under water if we continue to change nothing in our habits (stop promoting travel, Australia is already a beautiful country to surf). Apart from that, I'm a fan of your didactic videos (at low resolution ;-)
Definitely something on my mind but at this time I choose to continue traveling and when I buy my farm and grow all my own biodynamic food - I’ll be stoked that I travelled and earned enough money to create a carbon negative operation that will benefit the planet for generations to come :)
Ah the sinking Maldives, an old story (obviously) sold to you by those who still fly to Davos in their private jets, every year, to discuss their next scam. They’re paving the way to hell, mon ami, get off that path and hang ten while you can.
@@KalesBroccoli You know I am not. I am just a fanboy and appreciate most of your work a lot. I even understand how difficult it must be to consistently come up with original content. Do you think you are watched for helping people progress their surfing or for travel vlogs? Focusing deeper into the niche in which you are perceived as an authority vs branching out into travel vlogs, what I ate in day. How do you compete against hot pro surfer chicks drinking smoothies in the Mentawais? I understand this is a business and that’s a strategic question. Would we maybe already have FSD, if Elon Musk wouldn’t branch out in all his other ventures?
Stayed at ayada 3 years ago, proposed to my current wife on that hammock and then surfed love charms together. You brought me back!
Mate, you have progressed 10-fold in the last 2 years I’ve been watching. Well done 🤙🏼
Merci
Epic video Kale! That place is now on my bucket list! 🤙
Hats off to you Kale. Your an incredible coach and mentor and I’m so happy you are surfing those gorgeous waves. Yew ❤

Nice! I know it probably sucks surfing with a GoPro in your mouth, but the POV stuff was sick!! Would love to see more of that
That's insane man
This feels like one of my life goals :D
If budget was not an option where would you stay to get the best uncrowded surf in the Maldives
So good to see you living the dream, Kale. You seem so happy! Keep it going mate, you're an inspiration to the rest of us!!!
🙏🏽🙏🏽 grateful for your time!
🙏🏽🙏🏽 grateful for your time!

Planning on going to the Maldives with my wife (not a surfer) anyone got any recommendations for islands/resorts which are next to decent surf spots?
This has happend now in October?

Who would want to be there now ??? 🏄🏄🏄🏄🏄
Nice edit. Whats' the price for the average Joe for this kind of surf trip?
kalebrock.com.au/surf
Lady: ok there’s a shark, there is a shark, hay un tiburón!!
Surfers: YES!!!!!!!
How would you rate your experience thinking of going to that exact resort for my honeymoon. Of course since I really want to surf just a added bonus haha
Good but 💰
What resort did you go?
Hey kale, Did you see any sharks whilst you were surfing? i wanna go there, how warm is the water there?

@@KalesBroccoli Waves were mental in SW France last week-end. I hope you were there
What board do you have

Pumping
Where is that hostel ?
Resort Ayada. Its in the description
Good french prononciation, nice
🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Allo tu est cool
is it me or is surfing there "easier"? Some of the surfers seem to be average level. I have to get there one way or the other. AMAZING
Good coaching
Good technique often comes through first before the rest of the performance catches up

Bro the lady on the boat says in spanish "There's a shark over there"
There were quite a few sharks around :)
Have to found a winning lotery ticket…
funny how people dont act this way when a swarm of grasshoppers invade their space

looks awful... might come along next time :)
Clickbait, that’s no mega swell 😂
