You’re embedding the LUT in camera. Easy to turn off in the camera’s settings. FX3 also doesnt do audio in S&Q. No Sony does. Regarding weight, FX6 is lighter than any other cinema camera rig i’ve ever used. 🤙🏼
You are right! FX3 doesn't record audio in S&Q but it CAN film 120 fps without needing to go to S&Q and there for I can get audio recording from it. Where as the FX6 can not record 120 fps without using S&Q at all. and I was filming in Cine EI Wirth no internal LUT the footage gets saved in the MXF wrapper which unfortunates Final Cut Pro tries to interpret and puts a color profile on within the software. it does the same exact thing with Pro res raw from iPHONE and you need to go into the extended information for the video clip and set the "camera LUT" to none. and you are correct! now having used the FX3 for a whole year and needing to rig it out I 100% would be going back to FX6 for weight and erginomics
It was worse than my a7s3 with the 70-200 mounted to it for sure! I would always keep mine on the fastest settings because I film action sports and just witch to MF when doing interviews
Bro I use to deal with the same audio issue in Davinci. import your FX6 footage to Davinci, highlight the clips, go to clip attributes, then to the audio tab and delete the audio you don't need.
Yea it was really frustrating! haha and that is a handy way to deal with it! It my industry I could be edited 30 IG reels for Mountain bikers a night though so that extra step for the clips was just a nightmare
its what worked for me personally because I wanted to always make sure the shadows (the ground outside) was properly exposed since I was filming in the forest a TON
You can change in the settings if you want to exposure to save the highlights, midtones or the shadows, you don’t have to change that window ✌️
you are right! I didn't know that at the time haha but you are right! thanks!
thanx for this Video. I was very close to buy one...
the video i was looking for thanks

When I figure this out, it was a game changer. I almost sold my Sony FX six until I found this little hack.
