Thank you for sharing, because of your Videos I have furthered my quest to know more about Hair Loss, and have since been diagnosed with CCCA Alopecia. Hello, this is what's going on with my hair. It is very thin in the top and crown areas. I have an hormone imbalance to much testosterone in my system so this has lead to female pattern baldness. I have been dealing with thinning since 2015. I have started exercising on a regular basis now just need to drink more water. I trying to stop the hair loss. There are times it seems like it's getting better. Then there are times it seems like it is getting worse. My twists are looking thin hopeful my hair loss is not spreading throughout my head. Thank you for the information.

Hello Karen. I just found you on this platform and love your videos. I am 56 years old black and native American woman, with hair that is high porosity hair. I am completely natural and do not know exactly how to keep my hair from drying out. After looking at your videos I have learned what I am doing wrong and corrected it. Question what is the best hair butter to use on my hair?
Hello Ivanne! Thank you so much! So glad you find my channel helpful! My top recommendations would be Shea butter, Mango Butter and Cocoa Butter. I use shea butter myself, but all are excellent for high porosity hair. Not sure if you saw this video or not ----> th-cam.com/video/VOVfhWQ6E8g/w-d-xo.html
@@KarenofCurlHouse Karen I do have one question please? I looked at your videos what cream butters would you recommend for high porosity hair. If any at all. I have shea butter but I do prefer creams. Thank you kindly.
I'll be turning 65 in two weeks and struggling with extremely dry hair. I started wearing it natural over 20 years ago, and never had a growth issue. It has been long but I've chopped a few times due to breakage. Over the last 5-7 years, it thinned out just as yours did on the top. Sometimes my scalp itches or hurts at the crown where it is thinnest, so I sometimes take an antihistamine for relief. Although I've begun moisturizing regularly, and I'm not combing out balls of it anymore, my hair appears to have stopped growing. Applying a DIY aloe vera based spray, leave-in, and curl cream, and refreshing it throughout the day seems to be helping a little. A doctor recommended coconut oil but it didn't stop the itching. And after trying so many products, I am feeling discouraged enough to chop it off again. I believe I have the same hair type as you and am wondering how you maintain your longer locks.
@@sheliabell4471 Thank you for the suggestion. I will give scalp oiling with shea butter a try. I performed some serious deep conditioning with Argan oil over the weekend and learned that my hair dries out more when I spray water on it before applying moisturizers. So I am skipping that step. As I type this, a water-based leave-in conditioner, curl pudding, curling cream, and moisturizing oil lotion touchups seem to be providing the hydration my 4B hair needs. The curling cream contains shea butter and flaxseed oil, so I might already be on the right track. I'll try massaging it into scalp.

Hello I am new to your channel. I subscribe because your hair type is close to mine and I’m learning a lot from your videos. My question is, did you lose hair from having Sisterlocks? I had sisterlocks and after three years from 2018- 2021, my locks started breaking off from the every six week retire were to much tension. After a very tightly done retire that gave me a headache for three days I loss about thirty locs in the top and sides of my head. I have fine hair in front half of my head and a thicker grade in the back half. I am currently trying to wear my hair naturally without crochet or any braid styles because I can’t seem to find anyone that don’t braid too tight.
Hello there! Thank you so much for your sub! No -- I didn't cut off my locks due to hair loss. I started a product line for hair growth and needed my 'loose hair' to really test out my formula. But I have seen countless clients with hair loss due to locks being too tight. I have several videos about this on my channel as well. Braids, or locks, can certainly lead to traction alopecia when its too tight. I love crochet braids! They are my favorite among the braid choices. I'm actually going to create a video about crochet braids this week. Did your regrow ok when you removed your locks??
@@KarenofCurlHouse Its been a slow process since they broke from the root. My hair is growing in thicker. My hair always grow more in the spring.
