"If this country is to survive, the best-fed nation myth had better be recognized for what it is: propaganda designed to produce wealth, not health." (Adelle Davis 1904-1974) I just don't know about the treatment of PRP for hair loss and I think the quote by Adelle Davis applies. She found a correlation between a lack of Inositol and Choline and hair loss. In many cases said Davis, men who were experiencing hair loss grew hair, but many did not. She also advocated for a high protein, low carbohydrate diet and no processed foods. Davis, in my opinion, was clearly ahead of her time. Im surprised you didn’t mention anything about PRFM. What’s your, opinion in this new process to slow absorption of the plasma. Would love to heard your thoughts. Love your videos
Thats insane prices in the US. I did 5 PRP treatments in Thailand with high tech equipment (they have a machine with 9 needles that inject the PRP slowly and equally all over the scalp) and paid $150 each. It was worth it while doing it. Didnt give me regrowth but it thickened up my existing hair and really made it look healthy, more shiny and fuller. Its been 6 months from the last session and my hair is dull and has no volume again. So its a life long commitment. But 1500 bucks is insane. Not worth it for that price. Every 4 months, 150 bucks per session is still ok.
whats the science on scalp message nowadays? The method you advocate for has been around for many years now and the data should be in. Whats the definitive verdict?
I think massaging as a standalone therapy is probably on par with microneedling as a standalone therapy. Not a huge response on average, but it will benefit some. The biggest problem is that, even for people who feel it’s helping them, adherence eventually becomes a problem.
I was able to maintain hair after stopping dutasteride with massages and microneedling. Massages twice a day, 10 mins a session. Microneedling with dr pen m8, 0.6 mm once a week.
I saw those research as well. But the microneedling was every week. The prp was only 3-6 times Another thing is the compression between the one with blood and the one without. Those were females not mails, and it's completely different with prp.
I’ve been having PRP injections for hair loss and your hair does grow but, it’s fine, grows it in the same direction as it used to and it grows in my original colour. I’ve gone grey and was dark so I have these dark brown hairs mixed in with my white hair and above each ear it has grown in really thick clumps all dark.
Hopefully that’s NOT the message you walked away with :) Rather, whenever any media resource says, “It works!”, your follow up question should be, “In comparison to what?”
@@PerfectHairHealth Thank you for the reply. I suppose I tend to trust studies and medical institutions. I am having PRP micro needling next week but my Dermatologist is charging $700. per session so II'll try two or three sessions and keep you in the loop if you are interested. 👍

Are there scientific studies to show differences in effectiveness for microneedle rollers vs. stamps? I've always felt as though there's more room for human error with rollers and hair breakage when compared to stamps especially for certain hair densities and textures. Also I'm not sure if there's a thorough guide for rollers/stamps for how individuals can apply it at home as well as how often that is also backed by data. I'm sure there's variables in place with certain scalps, but I was just curious if these existed. Great video highlighting what I was already afraid of with PRP -- glad I never had the need for it personally but I feel that for those likely burned by these.
Would softwave therapy help with hair loss if blood flow is the issue? Softwave is supposed to create microtrauma that results in new blood vessels and stem cell activity. Similar to derma rolling maybe?
At 40, I have hair thinning and on monday I'll have a combined exosomes+PRP treatment for the scalp, while aleady on a high protein diet, an increased hydration, and many oral supplements for all the organs including the skin, the hair, the blood vessels, the bloodstream, the metabolism, the ROS scavenging, the hormonal balance, the immune system, the liver function, the mitochondria, the nerves, the joints, the eyes, the cellular renewal and the bowel. Then, I'm planning to do microneedling with 0,5 mm as maintenance after the first results.
@SardonianSmile I also take about 100 supplements a day, but none that might decrease my testosterone, DHT, AR, HIF-1, Wnt/Beta-catenin, IGF-1R and TERT pathways like Bryan does (forgetting that telomeres need growth factors including the sun which he avoids)
I am wondering what might be true in case of exosome therapy. I am waiting for your review, so i will decide whether to undergo exosome therapy or not for my AGA
Is this a matter of PRP not being recommended because of the price, or PRP not being recommended at all? Suppose someone could get PRP for free or very cheap, would you recommend it in this case, or would you simply dismiss it as an uneffecitve procedure.
The scalp is highly vascularized, which is why it bleeds easily and heals quickly. However, in conditions like androgenetic alopecia, blood flow to hair follicles in affected areas can be reduced due to factors like shrinking follicles, inflammation, or hormones like DHT. Treatments like massages or microneedling aim to improve circulation in these areas.
10:37 the study clearly indicates better results for PRP compared to placebo even though not statistically significant. From this we cant conclude that there is no effect. Maybe the study wasnt powerfull enough to show results. They could have said in the abstract the number of participants in each group.
