Dishwasher manufacturer says: "You should always scrape off food scraps before you wash plates, bowls, and utensils since the dishwasher can't handle SOLIDS". Instead of "tedious scraping" I just immerse plates, bowls, and utensil in water in the sink then take them out one by one (still oily and dirty but no more solids) and put them into the dishwasher. When dishwasher repair ppl tell you not to rinse, that’s because they WANT your dishwasher to break down.
