I passed my full A licence today 👐👐
W'hey!! Congratulations - you must be thrilled - well done and welcome to biking!
Congratulations
Nice one
Well done 👍🏻 great isn’t it
Well done, passed mine 5 years ago ( age 54 ) absolutely love motorcycling, you’ll find your part of a massive club of like minded people, ride safe.
Great video. As the rider of an NC750X dct, purchased new in February (and in the same colour as the one you're riding), i can honestly say that it's one of the best all rounders I've ever ridden... and the DCT is sublime.
Yes DCT is great isn't it Gareth - I love it on my Honda.....
Absolutely brilliant Andy love it when you do a tour and have a bit of banter with the other guests, and the scenery is stunning, keep up the good work. 👍
Thanks 👍 Delighted to hear that!
Thank you Andy. Again another superb video doing the Islands the justice they deserve as a biking destination.......well done.
My pleasure!
Blue skies, stunning scenery, motorcycles and mates... perfect! Great video, thanks for sharing 😊
My pleasure!
Andy, can I just say THANK YOU for all your posts, being something of a car freak, I find your posts very refreshing and informative. Love to your good lady wife, thanks once again regards Ian
Thank you!
Did the 3 island tour in February. Mount Teide was 2 degrees with low thick cloud and still some snow patches!! Some of us had their summer gear on but still had a great time as always, back at the end of October (4th visit)
That is awesome!
Great video, love to do one of their trips sometime.
Love it - on my bucket list for sure!
Cool!
Fantastic scenery, not what I expected 😮
Lovely there….
The ride was amazing. I really, really, really, really like these tours. Looking forward to Episode #2. Cheers!
Coming on Wednesday - stay tuned!
Looks like a great tour,👍🏻😎🏍💨💨💨💨💨👍🏻🇨🇦🍻and weather too boot🤓😎
You have captured stunning scenery TMF, and your banter between friends is contagious. 🤓
I’m really pleased to hear that!
Squeezed in a one day tour as part of our cruise, just a few weeks before this was filmed. Martin and Joy provided the tour of a lifetime! Highly recommended, thanks to TMF for planting the idea!
That is awesome!
Always look forward to another trip abroad with you and Mrs Flyer
I’m delighted to hear that! Thank you!
Nice to see Ken again 👍👍 We are hopefully going to catch up with the guys at Canary Motorcycle Tours later this year.
Such a great experience to ride out there.
Sure is Richard!
Looks beautiful, the courtyard where you stopped for coffee was a stunning place,
Spectacular views all around. Waiting for some more.
Great video, thanks for sharing and can’t wait as I’m off to GC for the first time in March with CMT.
Have fun! Tell em I sent you….
"In true Noraly style..." Love it! Great stuff Andy!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great ending. Must get back there sometime.
Following previous vlogs by Andy aka @missendenflyer I also took the last-minute plunge to pay a visit to @canarymotorcycletours in May. Martin and the Team are incredibly accommodating and make the whole experience well worth the trip. Next plan for me is to try their Slovenia tour - well priced, well organised and solid operators. Island hopping also looks a fab idea too!!
Just beautiful!!! Love the longer videos on the tours, lets you 'drop in' more; also love the banter with your wife. Great fun!
Delighted to hear that - always goodto hear from you Scot!
Great adventure! Fantastic views! I was kinda surprised how much the ferry moved around with all the weight on it. I've never rode on a ferry that large.
Thanks for watching!
How lovely. A perfect ride with good people in a beautiful part of the world. Judith charmers, eat your heart out!
He he - I always wanted to be a motorcycling Judith Chalmers and here we are!
Quick check , she is still with us thank goodness.@@TheMissendenFlyer
Phew!
Brilliant cheers mate.
Our pleasure - thanks for watching Gordon!
Great clip!
Taking the opportunity to ride a Triumph Bonnie in Tenerife in November. Nice wee taster this.
Hope you enjoy it!
An absolutely brilliant vid here. Just makes me all the more tempted to do a multi island trip next year...
Go for it!
TMF... You mentioned that you don't typically get large viewing numbers for your trip videos. I think they're the best.
Great to see Joy. I called her to book (on the back of your earlier videos) and she couldn't have been nicer. Unfortunately the week I was looking for wasn't available so I'm looking at this coming winter. 🇨🇦
You'll have a great time - don't forget to tell her I sent you!
Correct me if I'm wrong but at 13:30 those trees are Australian Eucalypts. Great ride and without all the flies and insects. What a great place in the world Andy!
They may well be - and yes great riding on those islands….
Great views...
Wonderful video, captured the essence of the ride and the trip. Looking forward to the following episodes.
I rode that bike in Slovenia, great tool ideal, changed my opinion of DCT 👍🏻
Yes good isn’t it!
Never ridden out there but the roads and the views look stunning Andy look forward to part 2 keep up the great vids 👍
Thanks, will do!
Very nice, Seen the Islands a few times, doubt if i will ever visit. MC trip looks fantastic.
Great footage, good humour, love it.
Thanks 👍
True Noraly style. Welcome to Tenerife ! Well played, sir.
Thanks! 😃
Baranca de hass what was that bit? Ha ha, made me laugh. Thanks TMF.
That'll be my Spanish accent that.....
What a beautiful island!
It sure is!
Enjoyed that. Never ridden a motorbike (or scooter) in Majorca - however have ridden a bicycle several times (yes a mamil - guilty as charged) including April this year. The roads are brilliant and we stick to the north of the island. As I recall there’s a fair climb out of Soller. Don’t think we did the climb from the port - however we have from Sa Calobra which has a better surface but is 10K long. Try doing it on a hot day!!!
Nice bike, nice roads, nice surroundings, nice weather. What more can you wish for.
Temperatures above 30° is too hot for me on a motorcycle. The helmet is the biggest problem; it simply gets too hot for me. My favorite temperatures to ride are between 15°-25°C. I will also ride at lower temperatures as long as the roads are safe and salt free.
Great series again.
Yes I'm with you on the temperatures....
Having owned a Honda NC750X-DCT I would have another in a heartbeat. Incredibly versatile bikes.
FYI: 'Leaving Las Vegas' is indeed a popular song by recording artist Sheryl Crow. :)
Hence my comment 😜
Living your best life Andy
Trying too but do bear in mind I only show you the good bits….
What a beautiful ride!
You are doing very well riding on the right side of the road.
It's when you get below decks out of sight of the horizon that you can really get sick.
Thank you - once you have done it for a while it’s no issue unless you lose focus or get flustered about something and resort to habit!
Mmm would love to ride the Canary islands looks absolutely superb
You should and it is!
Beautiful filming
Crikey - thank you very much!
Those roads look amazing to ride
They sure are!
I was shocked at the size of the ferry. Scenery is incredible TMF!
Me too!
Ha ha….learnt a new word (Vomitation)! Great watch and so much more from the vaults to enjoy given I’m fairly new to TMF. Btw you were lucky not to get a bat around the head from Mrs F for cutting her off so rudely…my missus would have clobbered me! Thanks for the vid Andy 👍🏻
My pleasure Guy!
Never been but looks fantastic
I have done Malorca a few times and was there this Easter with similar weather to you
Looking forward to Eppisode 2
Stay tuned John - next episode of this one coming next Wednesday!
Ace stuff Andy, inspirational infact.......love the music too....... best tour vid yet....#theloftybiker
Delighted to hear that - thank you!
Wow.....that tour looks spetacular! Those roads are awesome. Very interested to hear what you think of the bike on those roads. I have one which is why I know you test rode one a while ago too LOL its got just the right power and DCT making it easy peesy. Great video...look forward tonthe next episode.
Stay tuned - next episode is uploading next Wednesday.....
Really enjoyed the video, do like the tour stuff. No idea why the views would be lower on these, they are excellent. Keep them coming.
Glad you like them! ...and as I love touring I will certainly keep them coming regardless of views!
Just so wonderful 🥰 Have you visited the motor cycle meetings in weekends at Cruz de Tejeda? It’s great fun. Myself and my mrs is looking forward to see next episodes. Island hopping with our bikes is on the ”To do list” Thanks for a great film Mr Flyer 😀 Cheers!
No we haven’t - will have to add that to our list for next time!
Love the Cuban music! 😊
Great video Andy, I've tried to explain to friends just how brilliant the Canaries are for biking but photos don't really do justice to the isles, I've done Tenerife and Lanzarote so I'll make sure pals tune in to see your trip.
I've not done Lanzarote on a bike (although I've done it on a Suzuki Jimny so close!) - any good on two wheels?
@@TheMissendenFlyerAbsolutely I thoroughly recommend it. I'm trying to find out if it's possible to hire a suitable bike on Fuerteventura for before Christmas.
I much prefer the new layout for your travel videos. Good mix of motorcycle travel and stopping to see places. You were spot on on the parish notices 👍 length wise, I quite enjoyed watching a series (5-6 videos) but having 1 or 2 works as well. Nice one Andy 👍 looking forward to the next episode!
Cool, thanks! Nice to hear that!
Morning TMF! Nice destination and the perfect bike for the journey. Tested the DCT on an Africa Twin and it was amazing. Decides to keep mine in the end as the auto isn't great off-road. Took her up to and through the Tunnel de Parpaillon this week! Epic ride. Tunnel is easy. Getting there is challenging. Not for first time off-road riders. Loads of trails near Barcelonette. Amazing couple of days. Saw a blue Goldwing and thought it was you! Not on the trails though....!
Nice one - sadly it wasn’t me!
Interesting episode TMF. I was in Gran Canaria in August but I must confess I was only in the tourist bits for a week. The part I was in looked like Mars & I didn't see a single green thing coming out of the ground anywhere! Clearly there's much more variety in the terrain than I saw. I'll be watching the next episodes with interest.
Yes GC is a vary varied island in terms of landscapes….
G'day Andy(and Mrs Flyer). Bloody jealous is all that I can say brother. Will finally pickup my 2024 Z900RS SE tomorrow (14th Sept here in Oz), but due to recent spinal surgery (#3), it will be around another 2-3 months before I will be able to have a crack at a decent distance run!! It sucks, but hopefully the time will pass quickly. Beautiful part of the world mate, thats for sure. cheers brother.
Wishing you a speedy recovery Andy!
At last, got round to watch. As im stuck in Cyprus 🙄🤣
There are worse places to be stuck!
@@TheMissendenFlyer not complaining 🤣
I'm going to book. ATVB
Tell'em I sent you Gary!
l can see you and Mr's Flyer retiring to the Canaries
I certainly like the idea and the weather! - but where we live isn’t that hideous to be fair…
@@TheMissendenFlyer l agree, there are many wonderful areas in UK to live and enjoy a motorcycle ride.. l remember some great rides on me' Beemer in the late seventies...l couldn't 'hack' the UK weather any longer, more especially as I've got older...
.....I completely get that....
Like a lot of these places great to visit for a couple of weeks, but not so great to live in,can’t beat good old blighty even with our pot holed roads.
TMF: "Spring has barely sprung"
Bib: "And summer never happened"
I was in Tenerife 2 weeks ago. It launched it down all day one day. I was most surprised. Great riding roads, but sadly I had the rugrats with me...
Oh dear....
That's great but it would have been raining if i went 🤣
one for the to-do list 👍
You should!
Hope you can ride Prince Edward Island sometime . . . sans snow, it’s brilliant.
I'm hoping to visit my sister in law, who lives on the island , so I'm going to try one of these tours.
Don’t forget to tell them where you saw them!
@@TheMissendenFlyer I will, thanks.
Nice relaxing video Andy. Had a NC700 manual a few years back, lovely relaxing ride with an adequate amount of ‘punchy’ power….sold it though as I wasn’t using it much: much preferred riding my VFR V-tech!
I’ve never ridden an automatic bike although having bought my first automatic car (Volvo XC40) a couple of years back I wouldn’t go back to a manual; I suspect I’d be the same with a bike, the Goldwing must be superb.
It sure is - but WAY too big for handling around the Canary Islands.....
@@TheMissendenFlyer agree….I wasn’t suggesting the Goldwing was suitable for the Canary Islands, just a superb automatic!
Great video, just makes you want to leave the UK... for Good!🥶
That thought has crossed my mind!
Nice one Andy, a little aside for your Ducati rider, if you want to look good and sound good, ride a Ducati.
If you want to reach your destination, ride the NC750 X.
I’ve had both, I preferred being on the road than listening to the Ducati auto electrician telling, me it’s ok, it’s covered under warranty…… the parts will be 2 months. 4 separate individual defects from new.
Shall I let you into a secret? Since this video he's sold it and bought a GS (Just last week)....we all get sensible in the end!
Beautiful place. Wonder where it drifted in from. Good vid
What a great looking place to ride. How does Martin find so many fantastic roads to ride on Gran Canaria? Really looking forward to the Tenerife leg too. We were there from 1st of May this year, so we may of just missed you all.
Very jealous, haven't been to the Canaries for a couple of years now, you'll be getting the ferry to La Gomera from Los Cristianos which is my favourite resort on Tenerife.
Indeed.....
Looks astonishing. Now, where is my calendar?
great vidio , looked fantastic, prompted me into looking at booking a tour with them next year . any recomendations on travel ins for these tours, most dont cover over 125cc ?
I don't I'm afraid.....
1st-
Love these touring vids
Delighted to hear that!
Is that The Cat, used in Nova Scotia in summer.. Seems it goes 60 knots
Wondering if they have a range of decent bikes to choose from and not just a bunch of Honda cb500 i will need to check out their website.
Have you ever visited Madeira island? You won't regret...
No I haven't
Madeira is stunning too, yes. Albeit weather can be much more temperamental, so you can get caught by surprise on the bike.
Always nice Andy to see you on your tours. Is there a bike you can`t get along with? Greetings from Hannover🤟
Yes several!
When you go on these tours, do you bring your own gear like helmet & suit?
I do but you don't have too....
awesome tour, Andy would you mind talking/reviewing your Insta 360 stick??
Err it's just a stick with the camera on the end of it....
Looks like a lovely place Andy, unfortunately no Canaries. Just as well you’re not going to the Virgin Islands 😂 I’ll get my hat & coat.
Boom boom! The old ones are the best ones!
Mrs Flyer is a lovely and intelligent woman. You better be nice to her, or you'll be 😢 sorry!
That looks absolutely amazing. I have to admit, i would`nt mind doing that myself. I`l have to convince the wife, but she likes going on the back of bikes, so that`s no problem. I`ve never done anything like that before, and would be a little trpidacious to go ahead and do it. Whay advice can you give me?.
Just do it - it's brilliant fun....!
Beautiful scenery on those Islands. You looked a little deep in the corner on that pass.... sorry, watching too much F1.
I was
How do you like the Schuberh helmet
Very much - very versatile and makes for a great vlogging helmet!
Visited many times but as you said, just the touristy bits, one of these days I'll get to experience it on two wheels. Is the NC 750 as underpowered as some people say?
Underpowered for a track day perhaps - but for touring these islands (or commuting) it’s perfect….
Andy, was Carol riding on her own? If so, what was she riding? Just curious how she was coming along through the more rigorous licensing in your part of the world.
Beautiful scenery, and I hope the ferry ride wasn't too miserable for the ones with motion sensitivity.
The crossing was like a mill pond! ...and Carole was on the back of Martin's bike....
We were wondering 🤔 my wife told me to ask, but we have the answer
Have you ever considered touring Australia?
Oh yes - just money and time getting in the way!
RIB - Rigid Inflatable Boat 😄
Keep the horizon, never loose it. And don't get drunk early in the morn. Generally some good eats on board. I never trust it .
Andy, you're memory has failed you, you had a spin on the nc750x dct a while back.
I can't blame him he rides a lot of bikes. Still I'm interested in how it works for him, I picked up my NC in spring.
@@Bryan11210 fantastic bikes, especially imho in dct
I’m glad someone is keeping track!
Where is Carol's pink top?
?
on all the trips she wears a pink top @@TheMissendenFlyer
what bike was Mrs F on?
She was on the back with Martin - V-Strom 1000 IIRC
Nice work if you can get it ,don’t you lot ever do any work ,or have you took early retirement like I did . 😎👍
You would I suspect be very surprised at the amount of work we do.....
@@TheMissendenFlyer I would suspect as little as possible work & more leisure & pleasure 🏝️👍
Well that's the goal but not the actuality I'm afraid - I'm not complaining though!
What dates are the tours for blokes with hair? 😉
They aren't available to hipsters....
@@TheMissendenFlyer 😆
If Mrs Flyer is on the back of your bike.... She's invisible! Does that 360 camera hide her behind you?
Yes, clever tech isn't it....
Hi Andy. I'm intending to to do a trip with Canary Motorcycle Tours but am currently hesitating because I can't find any excess insurance to cover their £1,000 excess. While my mates & I are experienced riders in their 60's who ride pretty sensibly, accidents can happen, particularly when you're riding an unfamiliar bike on unfamiliar roads. Can you recommend a company which provides excess insurance for hiring bikes please? Regards, Brian
I’m afraid I don’t know of any - sorry!
Try navigator silver, used them good service
Great video again, do you take your own helmets??
Yes we do....mostly becasue of my camera mounts...CMT can supply helmets if you don't want to take your own....
Thanks Andy@@TheMissendenFlyer
