    Have my regular slip joint plier for 6 years so far. Most reliable set of pliers i will ever own. Never seen the hex style before.

    Picked up a pair Monday. I use tub o rolls towels on everything and it has really helped get the grips really clean. I love their grips though.

    I think what I like about your videos is you actually reference real life scenarios because you actually do this in real life. Thanks for sharing! I will have to take a look at these when I hop on the truck.

    I just picked up a gearwrench 120 xp rachet and it's a very high qaulity rachet I really like it I bought a matco a couple of weeks ago and since I don't have a tool truck that comes where I work I have to order anything matco I buy but it was defected when it got here so I think I'll stick with gearwrench I also bought the Hart mechanic toolbox top and bottom and this box is very well made I like that all the drawer are full size and no little drawers I do wish some was a little deeper but take time to arrange your tools and it works out great and for less than 600 dollars for the top and bottom it's a great deal.Aftet all I'm still replacing all my tools since someone broke into the shop I was at and stole my 30 year tool collection maybe one day you can do a. Review on that toolbox thanks for your videos

    Hey man, Griff here. Out of the woods and out of hospital!! Recovering at home.
    Anyways, loving the slip hexes, but REALLY needing the Knipex in a BAD way! Gonna treat myself to those ASAP. Do you or anyone know if Vampliers make anything like either of those?
    Keep on keepin' on brother 🙏 💯
    One love.--GRIFF

      Thanks Griff Glad all is well & on the road to recovery. Vampire Tools do not have anything like these for sale as far as I know. Try Amazon searching and see what all they have since that’s the primary place they sell their product line. You can also try their web page. Cheers 🍻

    I love Snappy but these are kinda late because I already bought pliers wrench for nuts. I do love and own the traditional kind with the love the deep grooved teeth. HL138ACP these on the other hand considering.

    The 47ACF is probably the greatest thing since slice bread. The flank drive variant comes across as a way to subtract 80% of the usefulness in favor of supplying a poor wrench to a target market that has wrenches coming out of their ears. 🤔

    Snap on make fantastic tools. But roll with knipex for my pliers 0ver all,I just not a fan of the thick grips snap on has of even the comfert grips that even knipex has. I been rolling a super old USA made crescent 2/3 position pliers for 20 years now still going strong. Knipex pliers are the boss for me unless they just don't make them

  • @FourRingsAuto
    @FourRingsAuto 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Have you put the Knipex to use yet? Thinking of pulling the trigger on them for loosening rubber hoses without damage. Interested to hear your thoughts on using them.

      I have and what I found was this. They work well on heater hoses not so much on upper and lower radiator hoses. For that you will be better off using a Radiator hook pick

    How many times have you actually used this? Is this really good to have? I have the smaller one hj46acf and I don’t like the small size, doesn’t seem to have the leverage.

    Justin, Why not just use a crescent or adjustable wrench ?

    • @JustinDowDIYcentralhighway
      @JustinDowDIYcentralhighway  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the room you have available. This was just a thought that came to mind. Also some adjustable wrenches are to thick to fit. This might be an issue for these pliers as well. Once I get a chance to put them to work I'll do a follow up video. Cheers & good question.

    Snap-On's answer to the Knipex smooth faces pliers wrench?

    • @natec599
      @natec599 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Knipex are way better. Probably 3-5x more clamping force than those pliers and they have thinner jaws.

    Wait what...? You're tripping snap on handles are the easiest to clean its weird they have like a oil film on them. The matco good luck its like a plastic dip and just soaks everything

    • @JustinDowDIYcentralhighway
      @JustinDowDIYcentralhighway  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh I agree MATCO plier grips are probably the worst to clean. Not saying that Snap-On handles can’t be cleaned just that it’s harder to clean them. I have some Mac pliers that are so smooth you can literally wipe in one swipe and no cleaner necessary. I guess that’s what I was trying to get at 🍻

    Good stuff man. I actually like how you give real world application to the tools and tool features you review. Anyone can say “this plier is fantastic”.....far less can tell you real world application and WHY it makes them fantastic.

    Check out the Wilde flush fastener pliers they are just like the black pair in your video for under $20 made in the USA. They dont have any like the flank jaw yet but I bet they will soon. Sk has some kinda like those knipex but more expensive. I like those flank jaw ones I'm going to have to get those!

    Ironworker Doug here; have a question 🙋🏼‍♂️ looking to up grade my wenches. Kobalt has a 20 piece . Ratcheting set for 49 bucks. Now husky has a 30 piece for 59 bucks. Wile I was looking this up I find a flex head set . Never had a flex head set before they look 👀 pretty cool !

  • @22mpb

    I’ve got the same pair as the black one, but with grey handles. I love them. Replaced a matco pair with them. They grip very well. I’ve also got a pair of matco tension hose clamp pliers, they work very well, except they do not open far enough for big clamps like on a Cummins or power stroke. So I put my old pliers and older matco 1/4 3/8 1/2 inch ratchets under the back seat of my Cummins just in case I’ll ever need them.

  • @rwbishop
    @rwbishop 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Pretty sure one of, if not the main reason for the impossible to clean grips is to minimize returns.
    Same deal with the textured Knipex grips; and all those vapor blasted (or however they're marketed) screwdriver tips

  • @javyLSU1
    @javyLSU1 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Picked up a pair yesterday - came in super handy breaking loose a lock nut on a toe rod end. Also the Snap-on pliers grips are my favorite - the texture really shines when your hands are covered in grease and you’re trying to squeeze hard on a pair of pliers.

      So it's a 2 amp and 4 amp that comes with the kit. if you don't want the polisher sell it for 50-80 bucks on local market plac craigslist or offer up and take that and buy a 3/8 impact gun that's running for 99 right now or
