I’ve been using TH-cam for years and I have never commented on any video but this the exception, I bought my bike last Saturday may 30 2024 from a guy that said it only needed new battery and choke cable, I went bought new battery plug hook it to bike and surprise bike would not even start cranking with this exact same problem it would turn all lights on but no crank I was totally disappointed I thought I got ripped off but then I came to TH-cam looking for a solution and boom found this video this everything step by step and yes!!! I worked I got the bike running you save me money and time I can tell you have much I appreciate you making this video and by all the comments here I can tell many other found a solution as well 5 year since you uploaded this video and it’s still helping us riders!! THANK YOU

I NEVER leave comments but I was about to tear into the starter when I found this. The switch "looked" fine but I cleaned everything up with emery cloth, put it all back together and it is perfect now. Thank you for posting this. Ignore the assholes that criticized you. Douchebags, they are.

First of all thank you so much because I had this exact issue on my Shadow ACE 750 with the difference mine actually always started after a few tries and there's no other video that showed exactly what my issue was like your video here. I did everything exactly as you showed and it worked perfectly. Nevertheless about a week after I cleaned it, the issue came back, just the same as before, the bike actually starts after a few tries, but the reason for this comment is to ask you if your case was the same or your ignition never had issues again. Hope you can get to see this because is 3 years after you uploaded the video, but it was worth the shot. Have a good one bro.

THANK YOU. Bike left me stranded a week ago. Found your video by accident, was the exact same problem I had. Ten minutes later, it was running again like normal.

The oily stuff is dialectric grease, that's good stuff to keep the corrosion away. The brass contacts are what need to be sanded a little bit

Very logical video. Thanks for showing the how the problem first appeared when trying to start the bike. So many videos skip that step. The spiderweb and the bee 🐝 were great.

Worked on my shadow spirit for a week trying to figure out why it wouldn't start, talked to motorcycle mechanics and parts people (who are useless) and nothing. Woke up, found your video..bada Bing bada boom bike runs. Good job big guy. 👍👍👍

I had the EXACT same issue with my 2002 Sabre. It happened last winter and i just put off taking it to the shop till it warmed up. I kept putting off taking it in because I didn't want to spend the money. Watched your video and decided to give it a shot. WORKED LIKE A CHARM!! Thanks for saving me a good chunk of change $$$.
