Funniest movie ever made is only part of it’s greatness. If you were born before the 1970’s seeing all these great comedians together warmed your heart a million times. Thank you.
Wow! This is a special gem! I'm glued to the screen, hanging on every word. It would have been unbelievable to be at this event. Love seeing all these star legends!
At the 14:35 mark we get a glimpse of the old style portable reel to reel tape recorders. You can also see that the microphone is rectangular in shape, which may mean it was an expensive model. Back in the 1960's many microphones were shaped round and and a pocket clip on the back. Back then it was fun listening to your own voice then playing it back. I don't remember why it was fun however. lol
Old style recorders ? I was using my reel to reel recorder quite a lot through the 1960s and 70s, and I saw it as the VCR of the 1950s, always new and modern. 😊😊
I myself have always wanted a sequel to “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” but I don’t think that it would be possible to organize enough Comedians to do it.
I don't think that the historical value of these types of events at this specific point in time can be over valued. America was on the very precipice of change, and not for the better. The next few weeks and months would be the darkest in modern America. The very next thing to hit America would be the 4 lads from Liverpool, and their arrival in the US would help ease the previous nightmare for the younger generation, while the 30 and above set were still trying figure out wtf happened. It was a simpler time, but it wasn't necessarily a better time.
I heard him say once he was basically a shy person. He was most comfortable in a character. He said the hardest part of his TV show was introducing the guest stars because he had to do it as himself and could not play a character.
Can someone please explain to me why there are these constant cut-aways to boring technicians, baggage handlers, and studio gophers droning on and on about how the tags should be attached to the luggage?
I saw this movie in 1974 at a cinema in South Wales; I had never heard of the movie. Because I loved it so much I stayed to watch it again.

Jonathan Winters shines brighter than all of them. Love this
I grew up wishing I could do what Jonathan Winters did and be as funny just ad libbing spontaneously like he could.
love this movie
funniest movie over all I've ever seen, top 5 of all-time.

So gracious of you to add a bit more spice in tribute to Stanley's achievement. 😁
I have never seen Syd Caesar looking so bored and serious at the same time, in this présentation. Jonathan Winters had alot of energy.
Stanley Kramer called Jonathan Winters a 'one-er', meaning he was one of a kind. He was so right!
A great, inspired, and very funny film.
The critics who said, "bad bad bad bad," were psychopaths.

Too funny! Jonathan, come back!
6:24 Cut out!!! You're bugging me man . You're bugging me.
OMG was Edie Adams hot. Ernie? You did well!!!
best cast ,,although, bob hope and bing could have made cameo appearance,,,
wow Sid caesar doesnt say much, seems very quiet and rather shy, bless him
Probably trying to figure out what that old nazi kraut was blabbering about..
EL MUNDO ESTA LOCO , LOCO , LOCO , LOCO
The dour humorless critics were so wrong.
20:31.
NEWS!
WHEN it happens!
WHERE it happens!
Even if we have to MAKE it happen!
EVEN IF THERE ISN'T ANY!
Last time on screen for the 3 stooges
You don’t hear anyone say “picture” to describe a film anymore.
Very few actors or directors use that term these days. Sad.
We used to call it the show
I myself have always wanted a sequel to “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World” but I don’t think that it would be possible to organize enough Comedians to do it.
There is kinda it's a movie called rat race
All-Star cast. It's truly sad that they've all passed on.
@@jonathanlund7397 And Rat Race SUCKED! :)

Everyone always associated Jonathan with robin Williams but I always thought he was more like a Jim Carrey or Gailard sartain
@Mike Marley true
20:34 I wonder what he was doing?
@ 17:51 "Who's Joe Valachi? He's a singer."
The greatest lounge singer to ever appear before congress!
something to do with the Valachi papers... some police corruption commission. I think I read about it in a Readers Digest 1963 era.
What year was this?
1963
Gee, Sid Caesar appeared rather glum and detached, as if he really didn't want to be there.
And who can blame him? A bunch of Hollywood C listers having an egotistical circle jerk does not great company make.
I heard him say once he was basically a shy person. He was most comfortable in a character. He said the hardest part of his TV show was introducing the guest stars because he had to do it as himself and could not play a character.
True actor who knows when he's on stage and when he's off stage..

I thought the movie was funny. It is not at the top of my list but better than most modern comedies.
Funniest film is "A Shot in the Dark" with Peter Sellers.
Terry Thomas/Rik Mayall
Terry-Thomas came to a sad end. No money and dependent on charity.
20:32 What's this prima donna priss crying about? Sounds like somebodys assistant trying to justify their job.
First!
Milton Berle IS NOT FUNNY.
