Yep, I thought the most didn't want to miss movies, the good mood you would be in watching. My tops, of my all time captured mind. Wizard of Oz. Mad mad world. Caddyshack. Chitty bang bang. Rudolph red nose .
One of the best, of so many scenes throughout this movie. The 3hours 15 minites of laughter fly by fast that one wants it to continue for an hour more!! Just AWESOME with all this magnificant professional talent in each actor! Long live the journey to find "The Big W" for all of us!!
the best comedy movie ever made.........and every actor no matter their part or size of part.............all professional. they just dont make them like that anymore! even saw charles lane..............he must have been in a thousand movies and t.v. shows..........acted until he was 101 yrs old.

@@rayshardrobinson7878 I'm sure with all those foney bills there's got to be some still floating around. Just emagen how much $$ one would be worth with some of the actors autographs on them? I'm sure all these actors are desested
"Out, baby, out!" "Don't call ME "baby"!" Well he has to balls to diss his mother the whole film so it makes sense Pike'd just tell him to fuck off. :P
The funniest scene is when Dick Shawn gets irritated YOUR BUGGING ME MAN, CUT OUT and BABY and then Jonathan Winters just looks at him and responds WHAT`s with this bugg
Pardon the cliche, but it is so sad that Hollywood has not been able to make a movie as creative, exciting, talented and hilarious as this for many decades. Check out 'The Great Race' if you can find it.
its just the best ever, funny movie, no stop laughing ,the best actors of the time, never again ,thats for sure... took the three gals i was dating at the same time ,on the same day. one for the morning showing, one for the afternoon showing and one for the evening show, still cracking up ,Did you all hear what mama said !!!!!
It shows, it takes all kinds to make a world. Famous quips : Jonathan Winters..."What do you mean tax free? Even businessmen who lie and cheat pay taxes." Rochester : (Ref. to battle ax, nagging mother-in-law Ethel Merman)..."That woman is something else.". A who's who of comedy. Even Jerry Lewis (the "King of Comedy") had a cameo.
I was a teenager in my native Denmark when this movie came out, I took my mother to see it in the little town close to where we lived. I remember my mother always laughed as soon as Buddy Hackett had a scene, she always called him the one with the marbles in his mouth.
It's a Catholic based community with a dozen or more Nuns that do good deeds for the area and take in the odd orphan . Usually a large 1 storey dwelling that is funded by the Vatican and has no males living there because the Nuns are considered married to God and devote their life for acts of charity. I found it odd when did mention the Convent after having all that money because the Nuns live there for free while the Mother Superior does control the operational expenses plus the food bill and gas for the car .
@@garywood9525 That's part of the gag. She wouldn't need any money at all to live in a convent. But after being scornful of how greedy and crazed all the others are, she fantasizes for a moment that she could dig up the money herself, and just split it with Spencer Tracy. She gets sucked into the money-madness just like all the others. She thinks of going to a convent because it would get her away from her mother and her brother and her husband, all of whom are acting horrible right at that moment.
@@hebneh i saw this movie when I was 6 because my Mother worked at the Cinema but it was too late to get me home from our outing and travel to the Cinema for the Matinee shift. The Manager was okay as long as I kept quiet and sat near the 6th row that had few people at that time of day while it was the Wide-Screen viewing . The opening credits were like a 4 minute Cartoon . The movie mad me laugh with all those crazy adults running around even when my English skills didn't fully understand every word . The 2 main parts of the movie that stuck in my head was Jonathan Winters destroying that gas station and then the Fire Truck ladder flinging people around .

One of my favourite of all films in my long life. Never laughed so much in the cinema before, of after!

One of the greatest Movies ever made!!!!!!
What a classic! They were all so gifted!
At 10:32 when Spencer & Buddy stare then smile at each other is so wonderful.
Odd as it sounds, Spencer's little routine at 2:32 might be my favourite part of the movie. Simple, sad, a tiny moment of calm. Almost Chapliesque.
Man, Mr. Pike owned all his scenes. They definitely don’t make classics like this Anymore! Lls
What great ACTORS and actresses!
MICKEY ROONEY AND BUDDY HACKOT WERE SUCH A MAGNIFICENT TEAM!
Comedia inolvidable me rio como la primera vez que la vi. Hace 50 añ0s atrás.
If you never saw that movie you need to watch it you need a good laugh in this life nowadays

That was good. An all star cast at their finest.
So funny, my 7 year old self hurt for days after, every time I laughed...
It still stands up well, 60 years on.
I LOVED this movie. And I love that this clip has Portuguese subtitles!
Too bad none of them got any money in the end.
The Spencer and Buddy moment. Always makes me tear up a little.
Sylvester is the good son protecting his mama. haha

When I was a teenager my girlfriend and I saw the movie. I couldn't stop laughing from start to finish. When we left the theater I was horse.
Mi too in 60s
I am addicted to this movie, you gain it all and lose just as quick
Best part for me 13:53 is Phil Silvers saying "Are you kidding? Isn't it obvious?", hahaha, Best comedy ever..

My favorite part is where Pike tells Meyers, "You wasn't even there, so SHUT UP!" -- and then kicks him.

"It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World"
Durante kicks the bucket, figuratively and literally.
I like how everyone suddenly stopped breathing when Spencer Tracy identified himself lol.
That poor guy, Captain Culpepper,
he just wanted some peace and quiet!
I love Sid Cesar's retort face.. (Maybe he's a prospector).... Eeeeeeeyoooooyyyooo prospector!!!
"Dont you talk to my momma in that tone of voice..you hear?"
"did you all hear what momma said?"
Who could miss it with her voluminous voice?
This movie takes place in ONE DAY.
I forgot which famous musician put this quote in a song because he loved this movie so much...”did you all hear what momma said?!”
"Out, baby, out!"
"Don't call ME "baby"!"
Well he has to balls to diss his mother the whole film so it makes sense Pike'd just tell him to fuck off. :P
Dick Shawn played a great crazy dude. His cars scenes are great.
I've always liked the final moment when Spencer Tracy identifies himself and they all suddenly realize that they're all in horrible trouble.
