    Thanks for the video, it confirms that this process is very clunky for the site owners. Clicking "approve" should add them to the O365 group if it is a O365 team site. I can't possibly expect all the various site owners at my company to know to reject the request then go to the site and click "add members". Even if they know the "correct" process, clicking approve from the email takes 2 seconds and accomplishes the original goal...can't blame the owners for doing it that way.

      I totally agree with you - wish it was more user-friendly.

    Very interesting, thank you very much. I was wondering if I can Automate the requests as well? I can leverage the mail but can I change the state of the request in rejected or approved? When rejected I can send an own made mail to improve the workflows.

      Thanks. I am not aware of a way to automate this though via Power Automate.

    all is fine but even though I gave visitors the homepage link, when they file a request to access, they are seeking access to the Sites Pages which perplexed me. I am also not sure why some access request asked me to decide whether to give permission for edit or view. Others is just to approve. Any thoughts please?

      Most likely, this is a user error - they are probably trying to access the site while logged in to their O365 or another MSFT account. Ask the to access the site in incognito mode in the browser.

    Hello great video is there a way for a person to access the SP lists to modify as part of a Power app but not be able to connect to that site via the excel data connector please

    • @SharePointMaven
      @SharePointMaven  ปีที่แล้ว

      There is a way to share a list only, but I am not aware of Power Apps and Excel data connectors - this is outside of my expertise.

    If we do not want employees sharing data from sites to external users without given permission on a case-by-case basis, is there a way to set up an approval?

    I wonder… Will it be possible to customize the access request form to become more user-friendly?

    Is it possible if we don't use incognito mode to invite external users?

      Yes, of course. Incognito mode has nothing to do with external sharing.

    I have a question: Is there anyway to remove "access request" from the file I sent. I want my colleague to open and view the file I sent without asking them for Access request

    • @SharePointMaven
      @SharePointMaven  หลายเดือนก่อน

      When you send a file they should not see Access Request. Not sure what you are referring to

      @@SharePointMaven Thanks for your reply, sir. Let me reformulate my question when I send a file, the destination gets a pop-up" Sorry, you don't have access" then, they will click a button below that says "Request Access", after this, I will receive an email notification and grant them the access. My point is: I want them to access the files I send directly without any need of them requesting for access, or without any pop-up windows of "Access request" just want the files to be opened ones. Is there any possibility?
