There is a constant debate when we have a hub site and lots of associated intranet sites whether to use M365 groups, add users and then add the M365 group inside a SharePoint group as I have heard this is the modern way or use the traditional SharePoint groups - what’s the best practice?
It depends on other factors, the benefit of a Ms365 group is that it can be used as a security group in other applications outside of SharePoint. But a SharePoint group is limited to only use in SharePoint. Hope that helps 👍
Hello, missed the live chat. Can you please describe a little more about the security settings for a Teams Sharepoint site. Specifically a Shared Channel created under a Teams Group which then has its own Sharepoint Site. This Sharepoint Site seems a bit more unique than other sharepoint site so I was wondering about the access control for such sites. I need people in my workplace to collaborate in this shared channel site but specific persons may only view certain libraries or list within the site but everyone should be able to access to the shared site. Thanks

Team site permissions are simpler with just owners and members
How can sharepoint site access and permissions be automatically given to employees joining the company?
If you want to add everyone in the org then use the "Everyone except external users". We will discuss this in more details later in this webinar.
