This is my cancer journey. Terminal illness makes you stop and assess your life. It makes you ponder on memories as well as regrets.

Regrets are killers of joy. I had a therapist who had me start writing my regrets down. We would work through them. And then one evening, she and I went into her backyard and burned them in her fire pit as we prayed for peace of mind, body and soul. I have to admit, I never looked back. It was a beautiful moment in my life. Sending love to you. ❤

We do this every New Year’s Eve - as a way to say goodbye to the year leaving and to welcome to the new year. Ending and starting with no regrets. All the best to you! Kathleen
I’ve said and done hurtful things to others that have caused me to have regrets - but I also feel no animosity towards those who have hurt me, and I wouldn’t want them to feel bad about what they did. We’re human, so we make mistakes. We can forgive and be forgiven. There’s a lot of learning to be done in this place.

I think every single person in life has various degrees of regret Francine, we are all human and make mistakes so don’t beat yourself up over it. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. Can I just say, you have such a calming voice and relaxed demeanour, I can’t believe you have this awful prognosis. I know if I was in your position I’d be a total wreck. I hope you keep well for a long time to come. I’ll be honest, I’m not looking forward to hearing about the assisted dying episode but appreciate it’s a personal thing. 💙

Hi again Francine, I’m still watching your past videos…I should go to sleep, but I want to know your story…so here I am. Not sure why people are having a hard time hearing you. I’m having no issues, and I’m watching this 2 weeks after you released it. I don’t have my volume turned all the way up either. Are you aware that there is a transcript that goes with your videos? You might suggest to people if they can’t hear to click on more, under your video title….go down to the bottom, it says transcript…..all the words are right there. I hope that info helps you. I completely understand how you feel 😢 I'm an over thinker it really does something to your mind.. Sometimes, I am my own worst enemy. Everyone has regrets, I was talking to my best friend today about regrets. She's has them too.
Hi Beautiful Francine. Karla 62 here to say hi and Thank you for sharing. Yes, we shouldn’t hold onto regrets, although that’s easier said than done for sure. I have so many regrets even knowing That I’ve asked God for forgiveness and I know he has forgiven me, I feel like I too have held on to several regrets and don’t know why. So good to see Iggy, and so glad he gets to come spend time with you. I know those visits and love bring much comfort to you. See you in your next video.

Perhaps you can write them all down and examine one at a time. It might be painful, but it also might help you put life into perspective.

I’ve just joined your subscription and watched some older videos. You mentioned you have the gift of seeing people that have died. As you now have some new subs would it be okay if you spoke a little more about that gift and the Grieg counselling you do? I’m friend is in hospice and doesn’t have long, I’m grieving for her even before she has passed, is this normal and any tips how I can cope better. I value your thoughts and experiences whilst wishing you the very best on going forward. Thank you
Thank you for joining! I'm sorry about your friend. You are suffering from anticipatory grief. It's very normal. I would rather have that then have a sudden loss and leave things unsaid. You might seek counseling, just as if it already happened. If you'll go to my earlier videos when I had long hair, I talk more about my gifts and the career path I took. I know you want to be there for your friend, but don't ignore self care. You are going through something as well.
@@FrancineHasCancer thank you for your response. I had the opportunity to tell her how much she is loved by so many but especially by me. We talked of her death, I asked if she was afraid, she said “not at all”. She has a strong catholic faith which I am grateful for but alas I don’t. But I do feel there is more after this life and did promise her we will meet again and really meant it. I will look at you older videos (where you have long hair ) as it may help with my grief and sense of loss of a very dear friend.
First of all I’m not sure why some viewers can’t hear you…I have no issues at all. You are soft spoken but I just turn up my own volume a bit. I enjoyed this video, some food for thought. I think most everyone has regrets, I know I do. I’m going through an extremely difficult time right now with my oldest daughter. For some inexplicable reason, she stopped talking to me..this is the 4th or 5h time. If I did something wrong, of course I would regret it. Since this is your video, I’ll stop here. I’ve watched a few people that chose death with dignity. It was very difficult and emotional but I am very supportive of anyone who chooses to do it. We all have those thoughts.....if we had the time to do everything and go down every road we'd be wrecked by the time we get to 30...lol... we'd also need huge amounts of money 😊

I feel she did right. I may have to re home my cat if I get terminal illness. Or nursing home. Very scary and depressing. I'm turning 62 and I have had a extremely hard life.
