    thumbs up Francine, I do hope Paul is ok. He was generous in sending you my way, otherwise I would have not known about you. Paul is a generous soul. I am glad you are helping us with these steps, loop holes, and, find difficult steps, for compassionate choices. My guess, Florida will make it so difficult at best. Florida is a mess Thank you

    Thank you for the information Francine. I am a fairly new subscriber and unfortunately, dealing with my husband's stage 4 terminal cancer. He is doing well right now and I am so grateful for that but we are starting to have these discussions and he has made his desires very clear. I hope it is a long time away but I think it helps to have these discussions when you are not in crisis mode, especially when you live in a state that has no option for Death with Dignity. Personally, I am terrified of the end no matter how it happens but I have always supported this choices and will honor the choices he ultimately makes for himself for the end of his life, whenever that is❤❤

      Thanks for being here. I'm sorry about your husband and hopefully he'll be here for a long time, but making these decisions now is important.

    You are unique among the journey-alists I’ve encountered on TH-cam. Paul in Perth mentioned your composure. I assume that you have less composed moments, but I appreciate your efforts toward making your journey less scary for all of us. As far as I know, I don’t have a terminal illness, but at 75, I’m conscious of my shortening time.
    Another element of your uniqueness is your history with spiritual matters. I hope that familiarity contributes to your composure. You deserve to benefit from the commitment you’ve made to people seeking spiritual consolation.
    Faith in a hereafter and benevolent universe has come late and unbidden to me, so unaccountably that I wake up each morning expecting it to have disappeared. For whatever reason, it has not, and this faith I believe you have, must bring light into the valley of the shadow. I know it cannot help but be sad to say good-bye to people and things, but I so hope your path remains dappled in the light to come.
    You speak so eloquently. I consider it a blessing to me.

    My new friend bless you for sharing your knowledge with us. I live in Tennessee and have had many love ones died with cancer. This is my opinion the pharmacy company doesn't make money on us dieing a peaceful death. We all should have the right to die in our comfort of our homes with our love ones. Thank you so much for explaining this information with us. Paul sent me to you. I will go to the website now. My husband is also dieing from lung cancer. The doctor removed his lung and it was in his lymph nodes. I lost my first husband to badder cancer. They both have with there a living hell of pain. I feel our health care system is broken. The health care system doesn't make hundreds of thousands of dollars to let a person die at peace in their home. This is so sad that people at end of life has to go their this. Sending love ❤ and hugs 🤗 to you my new friend.

    Thank you for opening the discussion on this topic, Francine. I'm in Canada, and, as you pointed out, we have MAID. Quality end of life care ( with all its many facets) is something very near and dear to me. My little boy died of cancer when he was seven. MAID, in my view, is a point on the spectrum of palliative care that's different for each of us. It's a difficult subject for many people, but an important one for all of us. I really appreciate the methodical way you share the information you're gathering in your own journey. Thank you for that! ❤ -Honna

    Hi Francine, thanks for all the information you have us. It really is too bad everything is so political about this topic. Just know I feel the same way as you. Some things the government should not be involved in. It's not a religious decision for someone to decide when they have suffered enough. Stay strong

    Hi Francine, thank you very much for all the information you provided. Vermont would be my choice when the time comes since it is the closest to our state. I’m hoping that New York will be next as my daughter and her family lives in Rochester. Only my opinion, but I doubt very much if Pennsylvania will add Death with Dignity anytime soon. If I am not permitted to even have tramadol, I don’t see the powers that be passing anything that is compassionate.
    I received some bad news last Wednesday at my cardiologist..my ekg showed that I had a heart attack. Since then I’ve had 4 tests and a 3 day monitor. I go back this Thursday for 3 hour nuclear stress testing and a few others. He wants to see if I have any blockages. I wasn’t expecting this..I have so many other medical tests and procedures needing done. I am so overwhelmed and in pain 24/7. I have a killer migraine at the moment. I’m sorry I rambled so much about myself..I just have no one to talk to. I’m so very sorry for everything you have been through…I would take it all away if I could. You are the strongest person I know and you always look so beautiful. Thank you so much Francine, sending love and blessings. 🙏❤️

    Thank you so much for this information, Francine. You explained it very well and I’ve learned so much from you. I’m sorry you’ve been forced to become somewhat of an expert on this topic. It’s truly so disheartening this of all things has become political. Everyone deserves death with dignity. I know what you’ve so generously shared will help so many people on a similar journey. I’m so happy you are feeling well enough to question needing to keep your appt. next month and wish you continued good days.

    Oregon no longer enforces the residency requirement because a lawsuit was brought by an Oregon doctor challenging that the Oregon law was unconstitutional in discriminating against people who did not live in the state. The law suit was settled by Oregon Health authority no longer enforcing the residency requirement. You have to come into the state and reside here for the period of time you go through the process, as little as 15 days if there are no hiccups, and you are encouraged though not required to take the medication in Oregon simply because if you return to your original state and use the medication, it could cause problems, for example you may have issues with your death being ruled a suicide. I live 7 miles from Oregon and have been investigating their death with dignity law because I’ve been experiencing Alzheimer’s symptoms. I was just wanting to know what my options are. I have discovered the death with dignity laws aren’t really conducive for people with dementia because of the timing involved. By the time you’re eligible for the medication (6 months or less to live) you’re too debilitated by the disease to be qualified due to your mental state. Anyway, just a little more information for people.

    Hi Francine, the video is very informative and full of the latest developments on Dying with Dignity. I live in a extremely conservative state which I doubt will ever consider this to be on any ballot, sadly. As a caretaker for several family members with terminal illnesses, we were blessed to have a great hospice and palliative care team who compassionately helped them before their most difficult transition. Without these angels, our loved ones would not have had a peaceful death. Much love and prayers, lovely Francine ❤🙏🌻

    I don't care too much to discuss this topic, but oftentimes people will ask me how I feel about this, or will I vote against it because I'm a Christian Republican and it angers me at times that my faith gets put into these conversations as if they are trying to use it against me. I watched my grandmother suffer so much from breast cancer until literally her last breath. My uncle took his life because he had lung cancer no insurance and couldn't take the pain anymore. It's so difficult watching someone you love suffer to that magnitude, but when that last breath is taken that's it. You will never be able to say anything to them again. How selfish does that sound? I don't want to watch anyone I love suffer like that again God willing. Anyway I say all this because I can't answer that question. If it's not my life we are discussing, I certainly have no right to tell anyone how to handle theirs. That's not my decision to make. This matter is for the person and God. I will just love you and pray for you. That's how I feel about the program. Praying for you love

    Hi Francine. Thank you for giving an in depth video on this. As a Christian, do you not realize that this Act is a sin? I’m not being unkind, I just don’t understand how you can undermine God knowing this is a sin. Maybe I miss understood you in that you are a a Christian.?Are you afraid to die naturally? Each to their own, but as a Christian, there is no way I could do this. God will take me when he is ready. Regardless of how I go, it’s Gods Will.
    There was another lady that was terminal Cancer. She chose this path (although she was not a Christian) she was really struggling more days than not, she chose a Saturday to do this. Her children were with her. She came on and said her goodbyes. She was still up and moving around and looked really good, but she was tired, I don’t think there is any excuse in playing God This is an act of playing God. I’m not being judgmental, although it sounds that way. How does your spouse feel about this? Would you do a video explaining why you are going thru all of this to take your life, and why you’re so determined to take your own life with a Rx. Of a deadly dose?

    • @LisaAllgire
      @LisaAllgire 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have to say I'm not being judgemental. Then your being judgemental 😂😂😂😂 Everyone has the right to decide when they have suffered long enough. God can take you when it's your time. The rest of us want that option

    • @FrancineHasCancer
      @FrancineHasCancer  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Karla, I take no offense to this. I am VERY spiritual but I am not a Christian. I would say I align with Buddhist beliefs in this matter. God doesn't want me to suffer and I will go very close to the line. I am going to die anyway. I don't think anyone, including God, will be mad at me.

    Video Editing is too low 👎👎👎👎
    Edit the video in a good style.
    Add nice b-roll animation when you are speaking or explaining something. This will increase visualization.
    Put proper subtitles, effects, transitions, and colors in the video.
    Insert the B-Roll (footage and animation) very well because it is absolutely low in your video.
    Do all this and then see how the video doesn't turn out good. 🥝
