Hey guys love your videos and i have an idea for a challenge playing a deck with 100 cards i know that its sounds hard and it may have a lot of bricks but with the right cards it could work
They should do this again but the twist is that you buy 2 boost 20 cards packs. The both of you choose 5 random cards without look in place in each other deck.
It's a cool concept and a fun video to watch, but I've got to be honest... I can't hear a word you're saying. Paul is perfectly audible, but your voice is so bloody soft and the music just rolls right over you half the time.
This kind of duel is what I think most older/experienced players have been missing. The decks are sketchy, right? But the interactions and how often the pace switches. The anticipation and decisions you make to hold a lead or keep your opponents LP close. Having no idea what might actually pop up and being surprised by how these obscure interactions make for (relatively) amazing plays. We don't need huge combos, ridiculous chains and common board breaks and instant-build board setups (like otks and ftks) to enjoy the game or feel satisfaction. I'm not arguing older yugioh was better. Because if anything I think our children's card game has grown up with us and is now a matured version of what it once was. Complete with better support and more functionality. All Im saying is, meta hasn't been as engaging and open for a long time, for a great amount of cards this game has available. Power creep is a pain in yugioh. But sometimes I think we should take a break from meta decks and go build some rogue decks that are personally fun af. As always, thanks for the content you guys.
Holy crap it’s Tim Allen!!! You are an amazing actor. So since you are a TH-camr now, is your channel like Tool Time from when you were on the show home improvements? Oh wait you’re an imposter!!! Dam!!
Sadly I used to work for this company. it's a branch of Troll and Toad. The cards are not random. It is lots that have been picked for anything valuable, then the foils are often repeats of hand selected foils. If you bought 4 or 5 you would see a pattern. it's a total scam.
This kind of duel is my favorite kind, not one sided, not riddled with hand traps. Both players were beyond equally able to win and each turn didnt take 5 minutes of searching thru the deck to spam monsters
Bye Bye damage should have kept the XYZ monster alive. I think that might have made a difference in the duel. Little things get missed when you are playing with cards you don't ever use though. Still a fun duel either way. Great video!
I had to double check the rulings but yeah I imagine using cards you're unfamiliar with in the heat of a moment can make you forget the first part of the effect you read out loud
19:40 The Inverse Universe Paul activated earlier swapped Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut's stats permanently. 26:04 It's attack should be at 1000, not 2100. Activating Bye Bye Damage in this situation should have inflicted 1600 to Paul and 3200 to Trell, resulting in a draw. The Bye Bye Damage would've also protected the Chrononaut, but that wouldn't have really determined the game.
Also bye bye damage makes it where the monster being attacked isn't destroyed during that battle, meaning the Chronomaly monster wouldn't have been destroyed, so even though the permanent effect of the stat change Pauls monster shouldn't have been destroyed (he literally said it 5 seconds prior too).
@@birdmanjon If he did that, then Begone, Knave! would've bounced the Chrononaut and the end result would've been the same. If Paul had realized that Chrononaut's stats were switched, I'm sure he would have activated it, but Trell still had enough to follow up and win.
I love watching you guys. Since you explain the cards during the duel I actually know what's going on. Other channels sudden the duel ends and I'm like "What just happened?'"
Paul should have used the Xyz's effect but Trell would have used his trap... man, what a horrifying but good duel! Really enjoy your duels SO MUCH! Looking forward to the next!
Cool to hear you're building Myutants, Paul! I'm working on them right now too! With Emergency Teleport going to 2, they're also getting a consistency boost.
APS, I've followed your guys channel for years, and I can definitely say video production has improved over that time. Your video production now is levels beyond what it was years ago
You guys should do a video where you all play your favorite/current decks. I’d love to see you guys put your real skill to the test against each other instead of basic structure decks or card lots.
I swear me and my friends even these days just buy random sets or bundles of yugioh cards and we just make up most of the effects so the deck actually works
Have you guys ever consider making your own cards and duel with them? Like say : Larry in The Hole Normal Spell. Draw 5 cards, add 1 card that is rare or above from the 5 cards and return the 4 others to the deck and shuffle. If none are, place all 5 at bottom and take 2000 Lp damage. (Can not be negated or changed to recover.)
Yall are awesome and seem to have lots of fun with yugioh. Watching any of your videos have done nothing but put a much needed smile on my face. Keep up the good work!! I'd love the chance to duel you guys. I've never had more than four other friends to duel and have never been in an event of any sort. Been playing since I was little watching the original yugioh. Sad to say I mostly just duel myself I live in waycross Georgia and there's just nothing around. Most people are just interested in magic the gathering. Anyway keep on bringing people smiles and having fun doing it and most importantly stay safe.
You guys are the literal best Yugioh TH-cam channel I’ve ever seen, made me get back into Yugioh and Won a local tournament using Cyber Dragons, You guys made me relive my childhood with my brother, going into his bin of cards from the launch of Yugioh and building decks that made no sense, I’ve been watching your guys videos a lot, keep up the great work and can’t wait for more videos
15:06 Armed sea hunter would negate the effect since pandaborg is a WATER monster so it wouldn’t special Simon itself back. I I’ve been running that card as a staple since it came out in Ancient Prophecy I remember seeing it before it was released and going “wow that card is GOOD!” (Every monster in my deck is WATER)
Battle Pack 3: Monster League is my go-to for casual Yu-Gi-Oh play sessions. Nothing too exciting, nothing too complicated because all the cards were curated for draft play. Just playing classic Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Monsters main deck and no need for extra deck.
Paul kept saying "I cant swing over these" but if you swong into something with bigger def it would bounce back to Terrel's hand because of Begone, Knave!
You should do a tournament with 60 cards but one kind of each card. No duplicates, and each player has free range to build it, but heres the catch, every banned card is at 1, and they have three days to play test on edo pro , and you can do vlogs each day till they get there deck ready, and then order there decks. This will include the whole crew for this tournament, and the winner gets the wrestling belt and everyone else has to wear I suck at yugioh, in the front and I could not even win with banned cards either on the back.
Lot challenges are fun in MTG and Yugioh alike! Though I'll admit from the title I thought you guys were gonna try and make a 100 card singleton deck XD That would be interesting in Yugioh. Especially if you used the Deck Master rules I think the way we do Commander. I mean I remember when a friend tried to combine Yugioh and MTG Commander and showed how awesome it would be to be able to just bring out your ace monster and that be the focus of the deck. Strangely now I realize something though. Basically what Yugioh turned into for a while with it's clans and tribes! Think about it. HEROS, Rokkets or whatever all originally existed to bring out their tribe/clan Ace and try to win the game or use it as a Toolbox move to get around the opponent. Nowadays multiple clans and tribe are used as engines or prybars though.
Also good video guys , your production value has been insane recently definately worthy of that 400k sub mark. No bs i see this channel hitting 1 mill subs within the next year or 2.
I love this channel because at :36 seconds in you already differentiate from most of the channels. I like the gambling and investing aspect of these tcg but you guys use the cards. Many other TH-camr making content at :36 would have said “see if we can recover back our money”
Haven't played yugioh since the end of GX/early 5Ds days. But this was so fun to watch. I am so behind on current dueling, but this felt nostalgic for me. Simple dueling
The interactions were the funnest part. For the record Chornomally crystal Chornonaut could have protected itself and trells monster would have been bounced.
I buy tons from Golden Groundhogs... We actually have tournaments from their bundles. We have seen droplets, zues, lightning storm, and a litany of other hand taps... Great company! Awesome video.
I got a challenge idea(if you take fan ideas) Y’all play Instant win decks besides Exodia so cards like Snake Deity or a stupid one like Flying Elephant. It sounds interesting but it was just an idea
They're highkey not worth it imo. You mostly get duplicates and cards no one really wants. The first 10 cards of the lot are alright but the rest are dupes - you're bound to have less than 40 unique cards (and about 10 of those 40 unique cards are useable, while the others are niche monsters or support cards for monsters not included). For reference, I bought 1 lot from these guys and I managed to get 3 copies of Springans Call and 3 Synchro Transmission and a bunch of Gaia support cards (Galloping Gaia, Spiral Discharge, etc) but no Gaia and no useful Springans cards..
Yo im a new fan and i gotta say annnnyyyyy video where you guys get random cards and challenge each other, i eat that shit up. The more the merrier gang thanks for the content
Instead of reducing the space of the field they should make it bigger like they added two special spaces for the link cards... Why not adding a line for only links, fusions and pendulums? Then below that space have the old school spaces for monsters and spells/traps.

It's so crazy I have a white friend that looks exactly like the guy in the blue shirt it's freaking me out 😂🤣
Please direct all criticism of camera work here! I swear I'm getting better
Your fine man
Camera work was fine man
A little wobbly at times but not bad
I appreciate that you acknowledge your inexperience.
My criticism is: you did your best and it’s perfectly fine! You did a great job 😁
*Paul makes any sound*
Trell: "I don't like that"
"HE KEEPS SETTING BACK ROW!"
Hope you guys enjoyed watching this as much as we enjoyed making it!! We appreciate the love & want ALL THE SMOKE!!!
Have you lost a single duel on cam for the videos I’m rewatching haven’t seen one
It's really really fun duel!!!! I love it so far and it came down to the teeth!!!! Who said you need a competitive deck to have fun!!!!
It's a cool concept and a fun video to watch, but I've got to be honest... I can't hear a word you're saying. Paul is perfectly audible, but your voice is so bloody soft and the music just rolls right over you half the time.
You're a fun dude, Trell. Every time you're in a video I know it's gonna be great.
yes i enjoyed watching you guys are so great
This kind of duel is what I think most older/experienced players have been missing.

Power creep is a pain in yugioh. But sometimes I think we should take a break from meta decks and go build some rogue decks that are personally fun af.
As always, thanks for the content you guys.
^^^^
Well said
That's why I play invoked/dog cause playing the usual meta does get kinda boring but I like to win.
wouldnt even say rogue decks, these are like, playground level decks.
@@redvelvett22 I meant to write rogue - casual decks. I wasn't necessarily calling these decks rogue either.
Something weirdly satisfying about seeing them play without sleeves and getting to see the back of the cards once in a while
Gotta say you guys are the main reason I got back into Yu-gi-oh I love your lot duels another great video
Same
These are my favorite type of duel videos. I got my family into Goat format recently - so fun and so cheap.
Holy crap it’s Tim Allen!!! You are an amazing actor. So since you are a TH-camr now, is your channel like Tool Time from when you were on the show home improvements?
Oh wait you’re an imposter!!! Dam!!
WAIT YOU PLAYED YUGIOH??
Broooo...How cool is that
It's not that cheap
It would be fun if the rules weren't extremely mental
What family? Your Wife left you. I doubt the kids stayed. *manly grunt*

I had to double check the rulings but yeah I imagine using cards you're unfamiliar with in the heat of a moment can make you forget the first part of the effect you read out loud
I was actually gonna comment that bye bye damage keeps your monster on the field
Don't forget that Chronomaly was affected by inverse universe, so it was only a 1k beat stick.
@@AlphaSquadZero Oh, so bye bye damage might have inflicted even more damage on the opponent. So...did both of them lose?
19:40 The Inverse Universe Paul activated earlier swapped Chronomaly Crystal Chrononaut's stats permanently.

@@skyewcw I know. Seemed there were a few misplays just. Good game anyway for what they had
paul also could have just... used the chrononaut's effect to protect itself and make trell take the 1600 instead

"rundown of my deck is basically blast from the past, kick some ass" 😂😂
This could definitely be a series. It's the true Chaos Draft xD.
this was fun to watch, old cards, not crazy combos, cards that maybe can or cant do something, really enjoy it.
This duel better be "tournament ready" 😂

Paul:Okay,so I'm going to breathe
Trell:I don't like that
This feels like the duels I had in the 3rd and 4th grade, where we used whatever we had to duel with

How this random lot made us one hell of a duel is exactly why I subscribe to this channel
These Amazon don’t even try to give you a theme lol. Literally just cards that no one wants
They sell the decent ones as singles lmao

Definitely do a tournament w this series again
this is so much more fun than watching meta decks being played. never know whats gonna happen haha
4:32 Where did you get that playmat? 👀👀
duel starts at 6:42
Man that duel was CLOSE good job both of you :D
You guys should check out crown corp since you guys like duelling
My two favorite APS members duking it out. Interesting duel to say the least 😂
love the random termnal world is realy nasty in bamboo decks but literaly usless in everything else lol
This the only game your opponent literally has 5 face back row and you don't have to think about attacking lmao
Just started the video, but I already hope beyond hope that my boy Interplanetarypurplythorny Dragon gets some play. One of my favourite cards.
"It's not fear, it's anger". Even as a Magic player that resonates lol
This was a super entertaining duel, would love to see more like this
Great video, been looking for something like this to watch for a while
Yo im a new fan and i gotta say annnnyyyyy video where you guys get random cards and challenge each other, i eat that shit up. The more the merrier gang thanks for the content
What an awesome idea! It reminds me of being a kid and building a deck!
Trell is funny asf
Story of the duel:
Paul: 🤔"oh"
Trell: 😰 "I don't like that"
Instead of reducing the space of the field they should make it bigger like they added two special spaces for the link cards... Why not adding a line for only links, fusions and pendulums?
Then below that space have the old school spaces for monsters and spells/traps.
I didn't think this video would be this exciting. Great time!
I dont even play yugioh (never have!) but really enjoy your content, if you guys can believe that.
Take it easy, great production
Need another episode like this 😂
I opened a few of these on my channel and reviewed them. I thought they were okay, but the holos were a bit lacking in value. Great video Paul & Trell!
I love all these videos, but I can’t wait for the next Calvin can video
I like how you can put together a deck of randoms and no balance and still make a duel outta it
Honestly you guys are one of the only reasons I've kept up with yugioh I love the game I just don't have people to play
Super fun when the games are nonmeta and old school! makes it so much more fun for us old school players
Could we ever see a Team APS progression series like Cimooooooooo?
i love the random card duels might have to go do it sometime lol
And Yugioh players say that modern yugioh duels are way to long XD
100 cards ehhh. Just a normal day for us commander players. Since yugioh doesn’t have to worry about mana, this seems like it would be easier. 100 cards of normal monsters would be fun. Blue eyes or a red eyes would be the boss monsters. Anyways awesome video guys!!
I like how Paul's deck seems to make him physically uncomfortable lol
now that was a good jank deck duel. almost makes me wanna build a crashbug deck lol
Alec i got a question
In the vanguarde zero game do they spoil anything from the series
Another entertaining video feeling like pulling out my deck or playing duellinks...peace APS
Love your videos, you guys crack me up. That said Golden Groundhog is the worse to buy bulk from.
That Sunny Unicorn card looks like a Shiny Rapidash haha
4 months a bit later but ain't give a shit,,I love every fricking second of this vid,, bigUP
i feel like paul would have had one more draw step tho, because mummy has to flip to deal the damage, skipped one turn too early, although it may not have changed anything
