    I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle th-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.

    Great video 😊
    Thank you for your time and effort Sir!
    I'm all the way over hear in Suffolk England, I'm a full time tree surgeon, Arborist, I have 4 576xpgs 2002 non auto, I run 1 on a 20 inch bar and a 8 tooth sprocket, it's a rocket, most of the others are on 8 tooth sprockets and 24 inch bars, but people must remember if you're using an 8 tooth sprocket to adjust there protective trousers boots to allow for the faster saws, I now use echo cs-620sx on 18 inch to 20 inch bars on 8 tooth sprockets, and they are amazing saws.
    But I'm that mad on the 576 I even have one tattooed on my leg l. O. L
    Thank you again and stay safe.
    God bless America 🇺🇸👍

    I promise it'll last as long as the MS. 576XP's are really tough. We've been running one at work for 3 yrs and it still runs like it always did. Very dependable saw. The only thing about a 576 is having to keep an eye on the muffler bolts. They vibrate loose. BTW the last stihl I had on my truck lasted about 18 months and had to be retired, but we're VERY hard on saws. I love a Stihl MS200T though. Best trim saw ever made. But when it comes to felling saws I prefer Husqvarna.

    fuck with all the arguing, they are both good saws and, one second, or four inches of bar length or to aggressive chain really dont make a damn. they are both awesome and well built saws

    • @austindenotter19
      @austindenotter19 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nathan Adams you are right both saws are awesome however, it varies from operator to operator on how saws perform and bar length, file pattern, tuning all factor in determining how they work. When we have sawing contest it is never saw vs saw it's man vs man.

    I hate when people say "Oh they're both great saws, stop arguing." Hell yeah they're both great saws, but arguing about chainsaws is more fun than getting pissed up on white lightning and making a snowman naked. Seriously though, that Husky looked pretty new. I'd like to see this comparison after it's had some hours on it to watch it really put a whoppin on that Stihl.

    The 576 is a standard carb version and since break in has become a very strong saw. Cant wait to see what its like after I port it... The chain on the 460 is one I filed for my 066 and is a tad too aggressive/grabby for this saw

    the company I work for, Asplundh Tree Experts, uses husqvarna saws. It could be the price difference, but from my experience they cut just as good as the stihl and require a little less maintenance. it also helps having the computerized adjustments though. when it comes to trim saws, however, stihl stomps husky.

    Some Stihl owners" NOT ALL" owners are like Ostriche's with their heads in the sand, and can't bear to admit that there are other brands which are just as good if not better.I have Stihl's ,Husqvarna,Dolmar and even a chinese copy of a 038 stihl a bloke gave me which runs just as good as a genuine 038 ,As others have said on here ,it's down to the individuals preference and taste ,Why argue.

      I bought an 880 this year. i could have bought anything i choose to but looking at that monster and seeing what size bar would go on it made me do something i dont normally do and impulsively bought it. I have an old school cs900evl, a pro mac 850 and a crappy lil 65cc chinese saw with a stihl chain on it that lasted about 5 trips to the bush. i've had the cs900 for 1 year it is on original bore, original bar and 2nd chain that unit is from 1977. and was made in Japan. i wouldnt prefer any one of them (except the chinese mod)from the other, they all have a purpose mainly i like power and weight, the 900evl weighs in heavily even compared to the 880. its a nostalgic thing perhaps? i have yet to use a husqvarna dolmar etc.. i would like to but i can see from the many repairs i have made over the years as a small engine tech that with the new electronic mods they are smooth, but if smooth was important i would have bought an electric saw and that just ain't any fun

    • @Hallie867
      @Hallie867 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's all about vibration and the effect it has on your hands .Smooth = less vibration that was the point being made.
      Stihl has redesigned their pro saws in order incorporate better anti vibration mounts .One would have to think that they would be SMOOTH to operate ?
      Anybody that uses a saw everyday for hours on end might appreciate a Smooth saw regardless of brand ,even though he may never change his brand.
      A weekend warrior wannabe wouldn't know Shit from Clay unless he picked it up and smelt it,He would be just be happy with a big throbbing powerhead and bar.

      Not to nitpick, but the h screw on the 460 is in fact *turned out* causing a rich condition and lowering the max rpm. Turned *in* would cause high revs like 15,000 rpm or more. Both saws are quite strong when compared to 50cc homeowner saws.

    Now how about you put either a 20" bar on the STIHL or at least a 24" bar on the Husqvarna, so we can get an accurate test? That 576 should move a 42" chain stock, so what do you think it would do with a 20" bar? Why not put it up against that STIHL with a 32" bar, and a 16" bar on the Husqvarna? This test of yours makes no sense. Also by the way you were handling that Husqvarna, I was RELLY hoping you'd take off a limb or something of your own.
