The Stihl is a very nice powerhouse, but in the end of the day i cut more wood with the Husqvarna, and this is why: My personal opinion is, after using both saws quite a bit, that the husky feels a lot more smoother because of less vibrations, and better balanced (with a 24” bar), has a lot better air filtration and are more fuel efficient. We have had problems with the Stihl saws in the cold arctic climate as well as the damn useless fuel and oil caps which still are a big issue on the Stihl saws. But for sure, the Stihl are really powerful when bucking and felling, but a second faster per cut is not the whole work in real life out in the woods. Things like service, warranty and dealership is also important. Otherwise, great products both of them brands make ! Nice videos you guys make as well, keep up the good work !
How do you feel about Echo saws? I was a Husky man because my dad has one for 32 years now and it still works like new, but recently i decided to buy another saw because we need another one, i went to the shop and i was looking at Husky's and the guy selling them told me they are made in China now and he recommended an Echo saw which is designed and made in Japan, so i got one and i freaking love it! (Idk about Stihl saws, never had one but my grandpa was a lumberjack and in 40 years of cutting down trees that's all he ever used).
They are both good saws .... however ... my old MS460 with a barker box and square ground chain would eat them both .... its the scariest thing like a light sabre.
The stihl ms 462 is the only saw type that defeats the husky in speed.550 xp,562 xp,592 xp are all faster than the ms 261,362 and 661 from stihl.And its also lighter as a 572,comparable cc's.
Stihl really hit the nail on the head with the 462. Huskies typically cut quite a bit quicker. The 661 is kind of a dog next to the 395xp. That 562xp was one of my favorite ground saws, perfect ergonomics on that thing. Guys loved blowing them up, high RPM and a dull chain🤦♂️.
Doesn’t make me feel as bad anymore that I bought the 572XP over the Stihl MS462C. Love Husqvarna but this 70cc class I believe I have to give the win to Stihl. In the 50cc and 90cc class I give the win to Husqvarna 550XP Mark II and 395XP. Thank you for another great video!

@@heavysnow8616 because that helps with compression especially as the saw gets older. But its ok i understand 😌 husky guys would rather brag about how easy and smooth it is to start them.

That's like saying because you have 2 rings you're gonna wear the cylinder walls out faster 😂😂 I have a ported ms 261 that has the bottom ring out of it with a Pop up piston that's lasted 4 years of tree service work, it still blows 190 psi.
@@fullthrottletimber8286 single rings have less drag an maybe give better hp but for longevity 2 rings are better sealing better heat dissipation the combustion or flame that makes it past ring will burn off the oil and I’ll let you figure out the wrest lol

Weight makes a difference. If u spent 6-8hours with 6kg stihl 462 compared to 6,6kg husqvarna 572 u feel it. Thats why i personally preffer stihl in this competition.

Those Stihl fuel caps are the most ridiculous 'feature' I have ever had to deal with on a chainsaw.

Interesting, looking at the specs the 462 has less vibrations of 4.8/3.6 whilst the husky has 5/4.1. Maybe the stihl is better only on paper?
