An extra tip - move jumping: Let's say you're strafing (to the right, with key D) and you want to press a keybind that uses the same finger (e.g. key F), but you can't press it because you're moving already - press your jump key. When you're moving in a direction and you jump, your character will still move in the same direction as when you were strafing regardless if you keep on holding the strafe button or not. That gives you a little bit of time for you to release your strafe key (D), press your alternative key (F) and then continue strafing once your character lands. This way you don't lose any movement, you get to cast a spell you need and you aren't forced to rebind just because of it. Do note that this is just a tip for people who aren't willing to optimize keybindings as Naguura is suggesting.
Huge tip: Use 1-3 of your mouse buttons for mods. 3 of my side mouse buttons are for shift, alt, ctrl. That way, you never have to move your left hand to hit a modifier. Opened up like 10 keys for me, no lie. Apologies if I haven't made it this far into the video yet - I just heard you say you don't like control.
You have a great delivery when teaching. Very knowledgeable but not judging. Your idea a slowly learning new key hinds is the best advice. I luckily did that when shadowlands came out and it was a game changer. Keep up the great work, love your content.
Hi Naguura, I am new to the game and I do a lot of solo stuff because elitist have made me afraid to join groups. My son tries to help me, but I hate slowing him down. When I finally told him the reason he hears me sighing so much over Discord is out of frustration and the reason he sees me spinning in circles doing absolutely nothing is because I keep clicking my mouse and hitting the wrong keys, he sent me the link for your video. Now I will try binding my skills to the keys I accidentally hit so many times and it should be a total game changer for me. Thank you so much for making this video!!
Great guide as always! Thanks a lot Naguura :-) Especially the "every hand-position is different" part is the best adivse! What helped me most with "decluttering" my keybinds (resto-druid) was not only using combination-binds (SHIFT / CTRL) but also using the "Clique"-Addon. This is obviously very helpful as a healer (rightclicking a unitframe casts Rejuv on them) but also for my DD-Alts where I use leftclick for the emergency-heals (Shadow Mend, Healing Surge, etc. - for my Druid it's Regrowth). Additional hint for druids: I'm using a macro for my mount-keybind (in my case it's "Y") where I simply check the conditions to decide which form to take. This allows me to use ONE keybind for any kind of movement-increase so I can use the same key for inside, outside and flying - Am I in a flying zone and outdoors? -> Travel Form - Am I in a non-flying zone and outdoors? -> Mount Form (the one that others can jump on, helpful for dungeons) - Am I inside? -> Cat Form
Great video right up to he part where you suggested people go back to their old controls for hard content. This inhibits learning and new muscle memory. My suggestion is level a new character of your favourite class - new characters have less abilities, bind them, get used to them, adjust early to the new limited keys, expand as new abilities become available. Reevaluate often to ensure you’re setting good binds. It’ll take a few weeks of missing hard content, but I believe it’s the best approach. You’ll be a God in no time.
weird tip for learning to keybind for the first time anyways. but i was a clicker for many years on a warrior, and no matter how much i tried to swap over to keybinds, it was just muscle memory to click and i really struggled. so what worked for me was trying a class/spec i never played before, and just made myself learn the keybinds for a totally fresh set of spells, and then when i went back to my warrior, keybinding was more natural to me by then
What helped me back in the day when I realized, If you hold down both mouse buttons your character will move forward. You can use your mouse to move forwards and turn camera. Use fingers to strafe/jump if needed. This frees up your fingers for keybinds.
Awesome video. I've recently been getting into add-ons for UI and bars and stuff. And I've been wanting to clean up my 1-9 buttons because thats how I've always played, by pressing the numbers for spells and clicking for cool down spells. But this video really cleared a lot up for me and made me a little more confident in trying this stuff out! Thanks for making it and all your knowledge!
I’m personally using the bottom of my palm to press ctrl, has been a habit for like 10 years now. Got big cds and abilities I dont press often since I have to actively change my palm resting place but it works for me since I need to actively think about my cds, no random cd using. Also, super time consuming but everytime I do a huge keybind restructure is leveling alts. Slowly adding spells to the bar makes it easier to ease in different hand movements and positioning! That is how I stopped keyboard turning too
great guide! thank you. one thing i love is to bind mousewheel up to mobility, mousewheel down to defensives or taunt / grip type things; and with shift modifier that's 4 extra binds. then i bind alt+up to a saved close-in zoom level and alt-down to a saved max-distance zoom to quickly switch between camera distances. for camera adjusting and stuff im just using pageup/pagedown for in/out and home/end for save camera position 1/2 ... the camera position saving feature is awesome for sure
I used to hate using control key like what you did at 8:00. But later I learned to use bottom/middle part of my little finger to "push" the key, in a way that you only need to stretch your little finger to avoid hitting shift. I feel comfortable to use control in this way, and it's like unlock 4-8 more keybinds from nowhere which is awesome.
This is excellent info Naguura, thanks! While in the military I got used to using a foot pedal for push-to-talk. I found the iKKEGOL foot switch on Amazon and got 3 single ones. One is for PTT, the other two are for strafe L/R. Could use for anything though.
So many games use WASD as default. Often with un remappable keys set around those. Only move from WASD if you are a 1% high super dexterous person who doesn’t play any other games. It is good. But if you play other games where WASD is set and other keys are set around it… swapping to Esdf will mess you up in other games.
Great video! I also worked out why my dps was so crap - I was constantly interrupting my Convoke with moving or casting another spell! Gosh - noob warning. Now I'm gonna work on my keybinds to improve further!
The double-binding of helpful/harmful spells as well as the clique blacklist tip changed my entire game. Leap of Faith as well as Power Infusion are now bound to my Dots as a shadow, which is amazing. Also, I always enjoyed Clique but did not know about the blacklist. Not being able to change my Loot spec or reset instances, change Dungeon difficulty etc was REALLY aggravating, which is why I tried to force myself to use Vuhdo, which I HONESTLY hate (does not help that it keeps bugging even if, and that's a big if, I have setup everything correctly). THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge. You're a game changer and I love it.
Keyboard Binding/Mouse Binding are pretty critical, and always putting common abilities across classes to same binding helps, eg interrupt, defensives/offensive cds Keyboard 1-6 qwert, asdfg, zxcv, f1-f3 Mouse Back/Forward (aka 4/5), Mouse 3, Mouse 3 Tilt Left/Right, Special Action Trigger (Basilsik) Ontop of this i have Cntrl and Shift combo setup as well. About 30 skills binded between keyboard and mouse (Warlock)
Nowadays, I'm trying to adjust my long time keybinds to some more comfortable and efficient options, so I'm glad to have discovered your video. I will practise a bit.
Didn't expect to learn much, but here I am having learned: -Offensive and defensive spells can be bound to the same key. -I can mouseover enemies to cast a dot without losing my primary target. -Clique is actually ok. 😳
Very nice video, thanks. Just as a follow up to the keyboard-turning/strafing story you started in the end there - how about a general movement tutorial? I feel like thats on of the parts of the game where I really have not that much of an idea on how to really improve myself. Just as a suggestion. :)
A great keybind I think few uses after talking to people is the simple scrollwheel alone and combine with Shift or Ctrl. Thats 6 keybinds easy to use and can be used with full movment
First of all great video!!! I suggest you to use this macro: /cast [@mouseover,nodead,help] Rejuvenation; [harm, exists]Moonfire;[exists, nodead][]Rejuvenation; Same macro that you use but with this you can cast Rejuvenation on youself when you haven't target without mouseover.
@@lespretend i tested the macro, it works, u dont need to add no form since spells like rejuv, swiftmend, and wild growth automatically take u out of boomkin form anyway
I've been using a Razer Naga for years and I love using all 12 buttons with shift and control modifiers. I also Like Q, E ,R, F, v, T, and G. My biggest Tip to add is to change your tab targeting system to your mouse wheel. I like mouse forward to be target nearest enemy, and mouse backwards to be target previous. I then use shift modifier to do the same for friendly players although I rarely use this... but it's sooo nice for Epic Battlegrounds and Healing players in the world. I move my zoom in/out for camera to ctrl + mousewheel. I also recommend making sure to use your middle mouse wheel click with modifiers too since that is a pretty easy keybind for simple things. I have to stress that I'm not recommending you stop using part and raid frames for healing or offhealing lol. I just like the additional option to target friendly nameplates that are close to me instead of having to lift up my right-click for turning my character.
Just so its said: You can also bind damaging spells with Clique. You can theoretically bind all your damaging spells as mouseovers this way (obviously its not ideal) But you can this way bind CC like Blind, Freeze Trap, Sheep and so on! ITs really helpful!
I really wished you did this video 10 days ago :D I changed all of my key bindings last week-end. It took me hours to chose the most appropriate combinations and I am just starting to get confortable with them and now I discover your tips and realize that it could be way easier and that I will have to do some massive changes again. :D Anyway, this is a really great video, thanks a lot for this. It will really help me improve my gameplay. :)
I highly recommend a gaming keypad like Razer Tartarus. I use the thumb D-pad to control my character movement, which frees up all 4 of my fingers to use abilities. The two side-buttons on my mouse I use as my modifier keys (ctrl and alt). Combining the two together, this means I can use 12 abilities without ever moving my fingers off any keys, while also being able to move my character at the same time with my thumb.
I just bind "everything" at my mouse (a MMO one). Everything is between quotes because there is some buffs/flasks/potions that sometimes are better binded to my 1-5 keys in keyboard. I use 2 modifiers CTRL and SHIFT to make other binds with mouse... this make possible bind 36 spells on it. Enough for rotations, cc, cooldowns, mounts and whatever I want. Awesome videos, I'm playing as moonkin, and they are very helpful. Thanks
Always moved around with A,S,D,W and played like a console- with little use of the mouse... I've gotten into RatedPVP and high M+ and my ways are holding me back! just got a razor trinity hoping to improve my game some! thank you for the great content! Keep it coming
Been playing WoW for some years and NEVER thought of the strafing keys and I always wondered why my movement is so damn clunky HAHAHA. Many Thanks Naguura
Maybe I am a freak of nature, but I am using Q and E for strafing (along with both mouse buttons down to go forward in the same time) and that makes it so easy for me to press any of the 1-5 buttons above them.
when I'm healing i keep all the normal heals off the bar and use clique for all heals and buffs, then use same keybinds on the bar for damage spells. For my sham, i have chain heal, healing wave, and surge for 1,2,3 with clique mouseover. My damage spells lighting bolt, flame shock, lava burst 1,2,3 on targeted frame. I also use mouse wheel scroll up, down, and button for spells like wind sheer, ghost wolf and panic macro.
I was getting teacher vibes until the 50 times comment, then the pause and well 9 times giggle and Math comment and expression had me laughing and repeating it :) another great video fast becoming one of my favs and always a go to channel for WoW content.
have you thought about shifting your movement keys one place to the right? so instead of wasd it'd turn into esdf. you have the "bump" on F that lets your pointer establish position easily, and it opens up a few keys with your pinky since it's resting place isnt on a modifier button (alt, shift, cntrl). think of your hand as the center of a target with rings depicting ease of reach, with the backpeddle button as the center and your pointer and ring finger as the edge of the first loop. as you move your hand in the second loop comes more into play. i dont mind playing with my pinky for certain moves that dont require strafe, but that's my take. i'd be interested to hear yours on the idea.
I'm a clicker since WotLK with some mousebinds; this week, because of the frikking explosive on m+ I decided to give keybindings a shot and, as I expected, I started to panic. A lot. This was very helpful, ty Naguura
I used the keyboard turning keys for years (for quick turns I used the mouse thou), just because it felt comfortable to steer your character with one hand free (mainly to vape and drink beer). This worked fine for dps, but it felt limiting for healing, since dodging stuff left and right meant that I had to mouse turn 90 degrees and use the forward and backward buttons to dodge, and all within 1 gcd for the mouse to be available again to heal people. So I switched to WASD with A and D as strafing keys. I was surprised that I got used to this within an hour and never looked back.
I had an injury just before shadowlands....my right arm and hand is very limited on use...so I had to key bind everything to my left hand...after 16 years playing one way is tough to learn everything again...ty for a bit more information...I actually had to change my movement key to a s d x (x is backwards) cuz q w e r are main abilities
For people who don't have an mmo mouse like me (I have a logitech G502). I rebind the shoulder buttons to the ctrl and alt key and because I can use shift easily. I can combine them with 1,2,3,4,5,Q,E to get a total of 28 keys within reach.
Great keybind tips. I used to be one of those that "turned" the character to get out of stuff. For strafe, I use A/G. All my spells are where my left hand can reach them. My most common abilities are keybind to QWERTDCZF etc. I like using Alt with those keybinds when it's somewhat needed. Aside from strafe, I use my mouse to move. I typically keybind by spellname. B = Mind Blast, F = Mind Flay, Alt F = Mind Sear, D = Devouring Plague, T = Vampiric Touch.
I have 12 keys on the side of my Corsair mouse. My movement keys are 7,8,9,11 on the mouse. Also, I use spacebar for my main kick and mousewheel for any others (good for BM Hunter).
Man I feel stupid for not having my strafe keys on A and D.. I never used keyboard turning, but strafed with my right click + keyboard turning and had Q and E bound to something else. So basically I've had the hottest keyboard property A and D sitting there pretty much useless all these years...
After years of having the turning key unbound, I actually added them again as I use them in moments when I'm casting something longer and the target moves behind me. Can turn without interrupting the spell. So if you're a caster, they still can be crucial at times! :)
As a left handed player, that actually USES my left hand and isn't ambidextrous like most other lefties seem to be (meaning I use the mouse in my dominant hand and not in my right hand like a right handed player), these keybind guides are always interesting. The first time I ever sat down at a computer that had a mouse, I moved the mouse from the right side to the left because it felt like trying to write with my right hand. Not natural at all. But from talking to other lefties online, I'm an outlier because they're all ambidextrous and can use a mouse in their right hand like right handed people do. Thankfully Razer has a left handed Naga and that solves a lot of the binding issues I had.
I use a Razer mamba elite mouse with two buttons on the left side. I assigned the top button as Ctrl snd bottom as alt. So when I’m out of easy access keys I can then move onto ctrl snd alt combo keys. Ctrl button for the top row on the action bar snd alt for the bottom row of the action bar. It’s a game changer having a gaming mouse. For me anyway.
I have movement bound to mouse buttons and place my hand on the home row like typing normally. Never could get used to WASD movement so this makes everything easier for me
@@zweiche I have 6 mouse buttons, 3 on top of 3. Top forward is W, bottom middle is A, top middle is D, top back is S. Bottom forward and bottom back are bound to abilities
I use the number keys and the f keys a lot because I don’t rest my left hand an asdf, I rest it on either tab123 or tab qwe. I use my thumb to hit space, tuck under and hit shift, and the base of my palm to hit ctrl. Strafe is set to q and e, a small number of mouse binds and I use the mouse to move a lot too
What a great idea to bind rejuv and moonfire.. my mind is blown I never thought of that and I macro a lot of stuff! I'm also going to put regrowth and sunfire together! You prob saved me more than 2 buttons :D
back when warriors had stances i had them binded all on mouse scroll... so when i shifted to druid i did the same, mouse wheel up bear, mouse wheel down travel form, middle click cat... and moonkin form mouse button 4, very neat way to clear up your keyboard for other stuffs ;)
agree on the mouse usage while moving but the part where you lift of D isnt that complicated since you can just move with holding left and right click anyway *edit: else I play nearly on the same layout as you do (obv with some other preferences since my hand is large I have to problem with 1 to 5 and therefore I also use shift + those keys) I also have a good tip for everbody interested: bind kick to mousewheel click and you save a valuable keybind on your keyboard and since you can always interrupt even while moving this is one of the mathematical best binds to have interrupt on since its also easy to reach! I see so many people having trouble interrupting while also doing their rotation this is all in all a well created guide and I like that you point out that many people have bad habits in the game and their worst habit is not changing keybinds and/or getting used to new binds which would most likely upgrade their gameplay
I'm using 1 to 5 for attack abilities, Q and E are always defensive, F for interrupt, and abilities while moving are bottom row, and im using my thumb for that
As much as I agree with strafing over keyboard turning, and as much as I'd love to use Q and E for spells instead, I've put it back to default after a few years. I use the turns so much when I'm casting a longer cast and my target has moved behind me or something - the best way for me to not lose the time I've spent already casting is by awkwardly turning towards the target again with those turning keys. So if you're a caster, I still recommend keeping those!
Heyhey! You can use your mouse to turn your character by holding right click down. That will be a lot faster and better to do than keyboard turning around 👍
@@Naguura Oooo do you mean like holding right click then the normal strafe key - or I don't understand? After making the comment, I considered also maybe doing a ctrl+strafe to make a turn instead too
If you never use it like me, you can rebind CAPS key on your keyboard sofware to Ctrl or another modifier making it easily reachable with the pinky finger like the Shift key
I will eventually need new keyboard and my current keyboard has the short left shift and an extra key there, like yours. I use that key a lot. But my country layout doesn't have it, so I just can't find a new keyboard with this key. I found that German and UK keyboard layouts have it, so I'm considering getting a keyboard from abroad... But I need the local symbols too, so it is a difficult decision. I was also considering moving all my keybinds one key to the right with a long left shift, but I'm afraid it would just be weird.
I began playing mmo's in Planetside1 before wow was even a thing. Clicking meant instadeath , so I learned keybinding within 10 minutes as it was the only way to live, and never looked back and never used clicking again in any games, period.
Danke für diesen Guide endlich kann ich das mal so nennen😁 sonst werden immer die eigenen kb vorgestellt. Du hast mir persönlich mit diesem Video sehr geholfen und dafür vielen vielen Dank.
What I am struggling with is for example spirit link. It is an important ability, and it has to be used quickly, so I put in to a relatively nice key binding. Then if I play elemental, that keybinding will be used for something completely different, because it is a nice key binding, and I have no similar spell. Every once a while I accidentally use spirit link, because I want to use the spell I have on this bind on elemental. The moral of the story is I strongly recommend to have a spell bound to this on your off talent, that won't be available on your other talent, like fire elemental instead of switching around the binds. Like I did. =(
My tip, and this is something lots of people do but doesn't often get brought up: If your mouse has a Mouse 4 and a Mouse 5 button, and you have a gaming mouse with software that lets you rebind these, you can rebind these to Ctrl and Shift respectively. Thus, you use your side buttons as the modifier keys for extra hotbars. This is a freaking game changer in my opinion and I can't play MMOs any other way. Including MMO mice, which I have tried, and I hate.
Hi Naguura! I'm having troubles with the macro for rejuv/moonfire... In Moonkin spec, I'm often finding myself demorphing and casting rejuv on someone because of the mouseover, instead of casting moonfire on an enemy. It's really annoying when demorphing in m+. Does that happen to you too? any tips on how to avoid that? ty!
Hallo, I'm Funkers. My friend has this question, because he's someone with small hands, and many keys like 5, T, etc. they are hard to reach. What he can do. Thank you.
There is a gold making macro that's out there that works well /click it's mostly used for Brookins so that they can Target Two enemies at once but it can be Rewritten so that you could cast two Spells at once, and it has a cycle tab in it so that you don't have to push tab but can be tricky because you have to be very consistent where is your camera angle is not where your character is pointed
My tip for switching up new keybinds is to make a new character, maybe even the same class as your main. This will let you gradually add new spells as you level up and you won’t be in super challenging content where u have to “try your best”. If you want to test low level keybinds do low level battlegrounds.
Until WoW I played games moving with w a s d but when first learning wow I totally adapted to moving with mouse. Over the years I have adapted to around 70% mouse 30% keyboard movement. My hand position on keyboard is pinky-index on 3 4 5 6 my main rotation is bound here. I can reach 1 and 2 with pinky and 7-0 with index. I'm able to reach space and all lower letters for map bags ect with thumb. I have bags, character, interrupts, bandage, water, food bound to mmo mouse. Works well for me. At the end of the day it's all personal preference and muscle memory.
@@Mithon81 i dont' think i could use that. i shift + keyboard button while i'm jumping instead of strafing too much. however my mout is the ` button left of the 1. Since it's not something i NEED during a fight.
Tiny counter-tip for Naguura: try pressing "1" with your ring finger instead of index finger ;) I use this for years now, and also in games that honestly require much better reactions than wow does - Q/1/and the button directly beneath escape, tilde or whatever its localized name is for you, all reactionably reachable with your ring finger. But yeah for sure, 2 & 3 can't really be comfortably used so until you reach 4, those 2 are somewhat inferior to the top quality buttons.
Hey! Yeah, I am pressing 1 (and the other binds u mentioned) with my ring finger of course I just don't like the keybind as much as some other keybinds Everyone rests their hand on a keyboard a bit differently, so everyone will have different kinds of keybinds they prefer
Most death knight specs when WotLK came out had fifteen abilities/talents. Now it’s twenty six. Talent creep is real. Making the player feel busy by having almost three actions for every finger. Imo it’s gone a little too far it’s pushing the button pressing mechanic to absurd lengths. 15 felt light, essp as five were long cool-downs and a couple more were utilities. But 26 is way over the top. Should have stopped at about 20 imo
i know im extremely late on the vid, but I do have a question.... what if you key bind let say C for whatever spell.... then how would u access to the profile character window that was related to C before. I mean I know u can click on the button for character profile...but.... idk my brain i so used to C=profile window XD
With the Razer naga, you have 24 abilities with just your thumb and shift+thumb and it's very easy to get used to for any beginner. Only problem is I'm on my 4th or 5th one, they always seem to encounter issues after a year or 2 of use.
I started using double mouse click to move, middle mouse button to toggle auto run and mouse button 4/5 for strafing. And I rest my left hand on asdf with all other keybinds built around those. If I have to click something on the move I jump or autorun
I can't believe I was having trouble walking during fights this whole time and didn't know about the "strafe" option  thank you so much, this is a game changer for me!
Tartarus/orbweaver solves all your keybinds while moving issues. Moving with a thumbstick was incredibly intuitive and took almost no time to get used to. Everyone who plays WoW should use one.
After seeing everyone having their main abilities on 1-3 i thought i was weird having my spammable on 5 lol. good to see i'm not the only person that feels like pressing 1-3 is odd.
An extra tip - move jumping:
Let's say you're strafing (to the right, with key D) and you want to press a keybind that uses the same finger (e.g. key F), but you can't press it because you're moving already - press your jump key.
I have played wow for a year and didnt think of this. Ty for the tip ❤

Great guide as always! Thanks a lot Naguura :-)
Especially the "every hand-position is different" part is the best adivse!
This allows me to use ONE keybind for any kind of movement-increase so I can use the same key for inside, outside and flying
- Am I in a flying zone and outdoors? -> Travel Form
- Am I in a non-flying zone and outdoors? -> Mount Form (the one that others can jump on, helpful for dungeons)
- Am I inside? -> Cat Form
Solid advice regarding keybindings, mainly because every keyboard/mouse and left hand is different. Thanks @Naguura
Or Razer Naga :):)
Same.
I do the same thing but I also have my strafe on the mouse as well
A video on all the macros you have would be awesome and very helpful, especially for moonkins in m+ and raiding.

great guide! thank you. one thing i love is to bind mousewheel up to mobility, mousewheel down to defensives or taunt / grip type things; and with shift modifier that's 4 extra binds. then i bind alt+up to a saved close-in zoom level and alt-down to a saved max-distance zoom to quickly switch between camera distances. for camera adjusting and stuff im just using pageup/pagedown for in/out and home/end for save camera position 1/2 ... the camera position saving feature is awesome for sure
This is the coolest thing I've ever heard. I'm doing it.
Players can also consider moving WASD to ESDF, so you can reach buttons on the LEFT of your movement keys as well
Madness!
Heresy!
Do you keybind your shape forms? If so what keys do you use.
Keyboard Binding/Mouse Binding are pretty critical, and always putting common abilities across classes to same binding helps, eg interrupt, defensives/offensive cds
Keyboard
1-6
qwert, asdfg, zxcv, f1-f3
Mouse
Back/Forward (aka 4/5), Mouse 3, Mouse 3 Tilt Left/Right, Special Action Trigger (Basilsik)
Ontop of this i have Cntrl and Shift combo setup as well. About 30 skills binded between keyboard and mouse
(Warlock)
My favourite keybind is mouse wheel up and mouse wheel down along with modifiers Ctrl or shift for more binds. So easy to use.
Nowadays, I'm trying to adjust my long time keybinds to some more comfortable and efficient options, so I'm glad to have discovered your video.
I will practise a bit.
Didn't expect to learn much, but here I am having learned:
-Offensive and defensive spells can be bound to the same key.

Also keep in mind the length of your individual fingers. Each person has fingers of different length which will massively affect the keys you use.
yeh we using f 12 key big pp dps here hahaha
A great keybind I think few uses after talking to people is the simple scrollwheel alone and combine with Shift or Ctrl. Thats 6 keybinds easy to use and can be used with full movment
First of all great video!!!
I suggest you to use this macro:
/cast [@mouseover,nodead,help] Rejuvenation; [harm, exists]Moonfire;[exists,nodead][]Rejuvenation;
Same macro that you use but with this you can cast Rejuvenation on youself when you haven't target without mouseover.
You'll have to apply a noform to that macro, as you wouldn't be able to rejuv in moonkin form
You can theoretically bind all your damaging spells as mouseovers this way
(obviously its not ideal) But you can this way bind CC like Blind, Freeze Trap, Sheep and so on! ITs really helpful!
Excellent, thanks. I needed this for me a bit, but also to share with others when trying to help with keybinds.
Hello Naguura. You are the only WoW TH-camr that im watching sometimes. Your Videos are great, thank you for that.
I really wished you did this video 10 days ago :D
I changed all of my key bindings last week-end. It took me hours to chose the most appropriate combinations and I am just starting to get confortable with them and now I discover your tips and realize that it could be way easier and that I will have to do some massive changes again. :D
Anyway, this is a really great video, thanks a lot for this.
Is button movement better than mouse movement controls? I thought it was slower.
Awesome video, thank you. I tried using clique but hated not being able to right-click my party to trade. Had no idea about blacklist.
omg. the tipp with the "turn character" was like gold... I must change this immediately
Maybe I am a freak of nature, but I am using Q and E for strafing (along with both mouse buttons down to go forward in the same time) and that makes it so easy for me to press any of the 1-5 buttons above them.
I like how you address all normal options of choice, for me though I got better with Orbweaver but still needed to learn right keybinds
when I'm healing i keep all the normal heals off the bar and use clique for all heals and buffs, then use same keybinds on the bar for damage spells.
I never thought of using Clique as a non-healer - that's great!
Hallo Du, auch wenn dieses Video schon ein wenig älter ist, hat es mir dennoch geholfen. Ein dickes Danke an dich, liebe Caro
Instructions not clear, my keyboard now has no key caps 😂
Jokes aside, great work & vid to help players improve! 👏👏
Better than your keybind guide

@@Naguura Class Shaming in 2021? I Love it! Its the Hunters faul tho. Always.
17:59 I have tabbed 50+ times for 10 mobs when tabbing too quickly and kept missing my target lol
Thankfully Razer has a left handed Naga and that solves a lot of the binding issues I had.
very helpful, been struggling with keybinds since I got back into WoW
I use a Razer mamba elite mouse with two buttons on the left side. I assigned the top button as Ctrl snd bottom as alt. So when I’m out of easy access keys I can then move onto ctrl snd alt combo keys. Ctrl button for the top row on the action bar snd alt for the bottom row of the action bar. It’s a game changer having a gaming mouse. For me anyway.
A guide no one asked for but i immensely need. Tyy :)
I have movement bound to mouse buttons and place my hand on the home row like typing normally. Never could get used to WASD movement so this makes everything easier for me
same, as an old lady we had typing classes in school. to me it is the most natural way to use a keyboard

I use the number keys and the f keys a lot because I don’t rest my left hand an asdf, I rest it on either tab123 or tab qwe. I use my thumb to hit space, tuck under and hit shift, and the base of my palm to hit ctrl. Strafe is set to q and e, a small number of mouse binds and I use the mouse to move a lot too
I'm so proud of cringe cam, it started in the dark depths of twitch chat and has ascended all the way to enlightened youtube content.
What a great idea to bind rejuv and moonfire.. my mind is blown I never thought of that and I macro a lot of stuff! I'm also going to put regrowth and sunfire together! You prob saved me more than 2 buttons :D
most helpful vid i've ever seen on this topic! very well done :) you have absolutely beautiful hands and fingers by the way =)
You can use clique with Vuhdo. you just have to select the enable clique support option and disable vuhdo’s built in version mouse over healing.
Making alts and trying new keybinds as I level has been helpful too. No more ctrl-shift-6 combos here lol
back when warriors had stances i had them binded all on mouse scroll... so when i shifted to druid i did the same, mouse wheel up bear, mouse wheel down travel form, middle click cat... and moonkin form mouse button 4, very neat way to clear up your keyboard for other stuffs ;)
agree on the mouse usage while moving but the part where you lift of D isnt that complicated since you can just move with holding left and right click anyway
*edit: else I play nearly on the same layout as you do (obv with some other preferences since my hand is large I have to problem with 1 to 5 and therefore I also use shift + those keys)
I also have a good tip for everbody interested: bind kick to mousewheel click and you save a valuable keybind on your keyboard and since you can always interrupt even while moving this is one of the mathematical best binds to have interrupt on since its also easy to reach!
I see so many people having trouble interrupting while also doing their rotation
this is all in all a well created guide and I like that you point out that many people have bad habits in the game and their worst habit is not changing keybinds and/or getting used to new binds which would most likely upgrade their gameplay

There is an addon called Modmod
It allows you to key bind keys in ways like: Mousescroll+key
It was very helpful to me
If you never use it like me, you can rebind CAPS key on your keyboard sofware to Ctrl or another modifier making it easily reachable with the pinky finger like the Shift key
Man, so glad I was old school and learned on ESDF instead of WASD, so much better for pinky keybinds. Tempted to learn RDFG
Am I weird for binding all the keys and moving with the mouse, I have a 3x5 grid of bindings bound to my left hand letters alone. :'D
I began playing mmo's in Planetside1 before wow was even a thing. Clicking meant instadeath , so I learned keybinding within 10 minutes as it was the only way to live, and never looked back and never used clicking again in any games, period.
After a 3 year break this Vid is Very helpful ! Ty !
You can cast/press stuff in the jump window when you're jumping while maintaining your movement. Try it!
Thank you.
Before this video I couldnt hit E while running, after the video I became good at it. Thank you a lot! (:
My favorite word spoken by Naguura: eeeeeeaaasiest :-)
I use a G600 mouse, each bar has num, num+shift, num+ctrl, num+alt, num+shift+ctrl, num+shift+alt, num+ctrl+alt, and even num+ctrl+alt+shift.
SHIFT + Space for mounting, I've been using this since the old days when latency was the thing.
You just saved me a keybind tyvm! :) How did I not think about this!
@@Mithon81 i dont' think i could use that. i shift + keyboard button while i'm jumping instead of strafing too much. however my mout is the ` button left of the 1. Since it's not something i NEED during a fight.
@@sagarchoksimagic that's just crazy! Everybody knows that key is for cleanse and interrupts! 😂
Tiny counter-tip for Naguura:
try pressing "1" with your ring finger instead of index finger ;) I use this for years now, and also in games that honestly require much better reactions than wow does - Q/1/and the button directly beneath escape, tilde or whatever its localized name is for you, all reactionably reachable with your ring finger.
But yeah for sure, 2 & 3 can't really be comfortably used so until you reach 4, those 2 are somewhat inferior to the top quality buttons.
Hey!
Yeah, I am pressing 1 (and the other binds u mentioned) with my ring finger of course
I just don't like the keybind as much as some other keybinds
Everyone rests their hand on a keyboard a bit differently, so everyone will have different kinds of keybinds they prefer
Hi Naguura, love your content! Just levelled a balance dr00d after watching your content.
i move using the arrow keys, target with mouse and use number buttons on the left side of my keyboard to use spells and abilities.
I just learned this too lol
Tartarus/orbweaver solves all your keybinds while moving issues. Moving with a thumbstick was incredibly intuitive and took almost no time to get used to. Everyone who plays WoW should use one.
After seeing everyone having their main abilities on 1-3 i thought i was weird having my spammable on 5 lol. good to see i'm not the only person that feels like pressing 1-3 is odd.
