This is an awesome guide, I've been dabbling into logs trying to understand the top players, but it's totally like you state. They're on another level and should not be directly compared. It needs another visual to get the whole out of the specific. Cheers to you and hope you keep bringing awesome vids to this series!

Great video! I think you really went through a lot of ways that people can improve their rotations and general mechanics. I think it might be helpful to some people who tune into your videos to also include all of the consumables that will help improve overall DPS as well (food, flasks, potions, oils, and when to use them). Could also help people understand that they can also see what the limit of their DPS is by using raidbots so they can see how well they are performing for their item level and how much they could improve with using the right talents soulbinds or legendary items. Again great video and look forward to the series!
This is amazing, I'm the logger for my guild and I didn't know you could see all of that with warcraftlogs. I think you should make guides on how to top dps on boomkin overall and even for each boss. I play marks hunter and I really wish someone would make guides like this.

Only thing I would sugest for the rest of the Videos: Maybe adjust the Window you want to show so nothing get's blocked by you Camera ;) but that's the only thing I think you could improve. The thing that has affected my damage the most has been perfecting my opener. Not only does it give you that boost at the start, but being able to get off the start of your rotation without interruption usually puts me in a rhythm for the fight. Rather than sitting there and then being like oh shit were pulling spam dot things with no pre casted wraths or ap generation. Also feels like you’re just playing catch-up which was a bad feeling.
@@goochbasshero well that's exactly how it works with any class lol its based off a percentile. Boomy right now is just getting more and more boring with the rotation. The damage is awesome but the legendary is pretty straight forward. It's sad they watered down the spec.
Just a quick question: The dps graph that you reference with 0 dps at 2mins and again at 4:30 in the fight, is that time-gated with the boss mechanics, or more based on the boss health at that point which pushed the boss into that phase of the battle? So if a group does higher dps they could push the boss into that phase sooner that the 2min mark? Just so I understand how to read the graph and logs. Love the video and tips in all your vids! :)
Been using Warcraft logs for years and it’s helped me towards some orange parses. Some of the tips and tricks are brilliant and I will use. One thing I do is look for someone with the same covenant/Lego and similar ilevel for me just to check if they do anything different with talents and rotation. Wonder if you have any thoughts on that? +1 for a breakdown of trinket use, or if they change your opener etc etc
I've been watching your vids for awhile and information is dope! ...one thing I would say though is, you use the phrase "a lot of people" assuming everyone is a nub which is kinda elitest lol....give suggestions and back that up with your exp and stats but don't blanket the player base as being casual AF.
At around 12min You explain how difficult it is to find a comparable Log but you are not show the user the detail search possibilites on the top right corner where you have so many possibilietes. - Search for Item level (not the precondition existing) - Search for Raid Size - Search for Fight Lenght (from to) - Search for "Fight date") - Having inpact on the Raid composition - Tank/heal/Melee DPS/Range DPS - You can even have a search parameteres for detail classes you search. --> Search for a raid wich has 10 Mages inside? Go for it.

I try to emulate as much as I can based on your stats and rotation as much as I can, but I feel like I am lacking on several areas and don't feel I am pulling the dps I should. Is it an idea to review someone's playstyle (based on a clip) and give your advice to improve someone's playstyle (preferably mine haha). Keep up the videos, they're great :)).

You want to stack the cooldowns as much as you can, because your Celestial Alignment buffs the casts of your convoke! So you do more dmg using them at the same time

You do undoubtedly need skill for pvp too, but your claim that you don't for pve is just stupid..

thats the only thing mercy was good for, you almost always played devo or sac in the last couple years in progression
