I thought the same thing. I also have a Wired Freedom and thought I didn't care about torque sensors either. Then I rode this bike. Basically, the dual motor just feels better, the power at acceleration is awesome and beats a rear hub bike, but the real advantage is it climbs hills like crazy. @JUICERATINGS The Billy Goat V3 is in my short list also. I like the better top end speed in the 40s if I am driving with traffic. I do not like the moped style seat either. The police tend to pull more of them over in this area than a bike that looks more like a bike. The Billy Goat also has bettet front and reat turn signals, along with a much better headlight. That said, Furious is offering a second battery for $200, which came free with my Wired Freedom but cost a lot more on the Billy Goat. You can see why I am still trying to decide on which of these to purchase.
Yeah I do. I really like this bike. I have no regrets. I did get a crack in the rear rack and they are sending me a new one, but everything else is just so nice. I really don't want a moped or a cadence sensor so this bike beats anything I would buy right now. Things change fast. I think Furious may be working on a faster bike, but I think it's a long ways off. In the meantime I hit 37 pretty easily and have ridden this over 2500 miles this summer. Even though mine has the external wire (the new ones don't) I do not regret buying one of his demo bikes at all. I never thought I'd get tired of the Freedom.
Yeah 99.9% sure if you go to the US side you can order. They used to ship to US from Canada but now they have a NY based warehouse for US customers, so you have to make sure you're on the Furious site and then "buy in US".
I like the speed of the goat, but I like the idea of being able to pedal also. The Goat can climb any hill I have ever seen that's paved. I do like the offer of the dual batteries that Furious is offering right now. How is the headlight? Is it bright enough for safe night riding?
It seems like a solid, good looking bike. I'm not a fan of how that headset looks tho. I could probably swap it out but my last bike had headset issues, so I'd rather not mess with it. Im also not positive I want dual motors. I don't want a super heavy bike
I have to say one of the things I dislike is the thin stem. It's awesome that it is adjustable, but it really picks up the bumps on the road. I didn't think I wanted dual motor either, but I am never going back to single motor again after this and I am never going back to a cadence sensor. The torque sensor changed me. I don't even want to ride my Wired Freedom anymore.
I do not have that switch. I have the first iteration of this bike and subsequently an external wire on the downtube and no red on off on the battery. The newer versions have no external wire on the downtube and the on off switch. I beleve the new on off switch adds a little extra security cause you can turn it off and lock the battery in. Is it on the inside or outside of the battery?? Also, I would never turn a bike on while charging. Whether it is safe or not, I do not find it useful.
Nice Mr J. One thing you didn't talk about, or perhaps I missed, was the ride. You did mention the shock wasn't adjustable and a bit stiff, but while riding, I didn't hear anything about the ride. Yes, so much to cover and things can be missed. I'm curious as to the camera you use??? I have an idea.
I think the ride is hard to describe. I find it really smooth for pavement, more so than my Wired, but I really don't think it's an off road type bike. I would give the rear shock a 6 or 7 out of 1O. Moreover, I think it's an enjoyable ride...like I really look forward to riding it over my others. It feels super nimble and I guess the word cruiser gets thrown around alot for a style of bike...but this one is a great cruiser for actually cruising. As I mentioned near the end, I think I would prefer a stiffer or thicker stem. It's an Akaso...I don't have the GoPro yet.
@@JUICERATINGS Fair enough, I'm betting with a little research there is an adjustable shock for the rear. As for cameras, quite seriously, I'd go Insta360 x3. I know the x4 recently came out, but I've heard of an overheating issue, which GoPro has had issues with for years. I have an X3 and the great thing is you really don't have to “aim it” much as it records 360 degrees. The angles/views are all done in post with their app, in which you can do all kinds of crazy stuff. I'm certainly not a pro, but maybe research it a bit. The X4 being the newest might mean the X3 (which I have) may be at a good price, don't know though. Just a thought that may be worth a look.
Not sure about the need for all wheel drive on a street machine like this one but could see it if it was an off-road bike. Thinking about this or the Billy goat V3. Leaning towards the Billy Goat.
I have a lot of hills and they’re steep so I love the dual after 30 miles of riding I can just shoot up no problem. I’m not going back to single motor ever. The Goat seems like a good bike but it’s not made for pedaling and I can’t stand not being able to adjust seat
One thing I noticed is that hardly anyone has mentioned the controller set up. Single split controller but what amps is it? It must be 50 amps split to 2 motors. Never much is said about that. Not much room for dual potted 40 amp controllers on that little bike.
@JUICERATINGS would be nice to have dual 30-35 amp controllers. Preferably 2 potted 35 -40 amp. I know there is not much space for 2 potted controllers.
@@JohnBabcock-qy1cs It's two 25 amp controllers. Each motor peaks at a little over 1500w. I don't think I'd want them to peak higher than that given they're 750w nominal. I have no idea if the controllers are potted, though.
Nice bike..but the cable management is kinda sloppy on a high end bike like this..the motor cable should of pass thru inside the frame to give it a cleaner look..oh btw that front motor is for hill climbing
The new models will have that cable inside the downtube (shipments in August and I think November). I agree on some of the other management, but they have this skinny stem where most bikes with cleaner wires would send the cabling through. Thanks!
All torque sensors are a little different. This gives you more power as you press down. So press hard/fast the motor will give you that amount of pressure back. It zips really well. It’s not a ton of effort. A cadence just gives you power based on the setting it is on. So pedal assist 1 will give you c amount of watts, pedal assist 2 will give you x amount of watts. With torque sensors it doesn’t matter too much which pedal assist you are one. I very much prefer torque sensors. It just feels great.
I think I would use a wax based lubricant and spray it real good after riding in the rain. The bad part about rain is letting it sir in it. So rinsing it off and then using a lubricant is best.
I think the newer EMX bikes allow you to adjust how much power you get so you can make the torque sensor give you less power, this giving you more exercise. It’s a good question to ask Furious to make sure I’m correct.
@ Thanks, yes I did ask Furious after I posted the question here last month and they answered that you can lower power output in the display settings. I ordered the bike and it should be shipping to me later this week as I understand
I’m in the market for a 40mph too. I don’t really want one much faster. I’m good at 40-42 when I need it. I ride this mostly at 25 or so most of the time.

I own a Grizzly, a Wired Freedom, and just put a preorder deposit on this bike. I think, and hope this is the happy medium I've been looking for. Your thoughts?
I think the Grizzly is great as is the Goat V3. Both powerful bikes and obviously the Wired Freedom and Ecells all have similar speeds (with probably the Goat on top), but all of those bikes lack in one category or another when compared to the Furious EMX. Number one the Goat and Grizzly and very motorbike-like and not made for pedaling. No raising and lowering the seat. The Ecells and Wired are large bikes and I find the 20x4 the sweet spot for me. Lastly, none of them have the EMX torque sensor. THIS torque sensor is everything and a huge differentiator. I don't ride my Freedom anymore because I am always on this EMX, it's just so comfortable and fun to ride. I'm going to sell my Freedom, but it hit me, I don't know what I would buy that would be better or similar to the EMX. For me it's the perfect bike. A solid 8 out of 10. There are two mods that you will want (Larger Chain Ring and eventually change the tires) Super tall people or people who want to off road or throttle only, they should choose a different bike. For everyone one else, I am finding it hard not to recommend this bike and Im up to 2800 miles. I did crack the rack which is being replaced, video coming soon. But it's just the rack. Bike is great and fine.
I also dislike the thin stem as I feel the bumps in the bars and the speed is exact up to 32 mph and then gets off by 4 mph. Two minor drawbacks that takes away from it being a 10 out of 10. That, and I would love a bike that hits 42-44 mph, I top out at 37, but 99% that is fast enough. I almost never ride 37. I think there is always something on any bike to dislike. The things I dislike on this one are very minor (for me, could be major for others)
@@JUICERATINGS Agree with everything you said. I'm also a motorcycle rider, if I want to throttle a bike, I'll get on my Harley. On an ebike, I WANT to peddle, I want to get some exercise. Glad to hear you think this is a great medium between the Grizzley and other moped style ebikes, and the Wired Freedom. That is exactly what I am looking for. At 5.9 the Wired Freedom is a little tall for me, it's fine once you get going, but at stops I'm not comfortable on the bike unless i drop the seat down, then my legs aren't getting good extention, so I might as well get back on the Grizzley because it's easier to manage.
Yes I am 5'8". I don't find the Wired uncomfortable, but it's a different ride. Again, the EMX isn't perfect, but I don't think there is a bike on the market right now that matches it. I honestly don't know what I want my new second bike to be once I sell the Wired. Maybe the Juiced Jetcurrent Pro, but there is no rear suspension and not interested in folding. But it may be the closest to the EMX out there.
I just pre ordered for Nov. What kind of charger comes with this thing? I also got the rear battery version an wondering if I need to purchase another charger. Anybody know?
I do not know the kind, but it's a nice ventilated charger with fan. Feels very safe and nothing has overheated. I "think" he will send two chargers but you may want to ask. If he doesn't, I would definitely buy one so you have two chargers. I charge off my bike because of the hot in the summer and the cold in the winter. It doesn't work for me to charge on the bike.
It doesn't really ghost until 30ish MPH, which is pretty good. Plus the controller is set up to output more than standard bikes. I just put the chainring for more resistance it's not required.
I agree. I'd like 40-44 mph on a 20 inch. I don't need or want it faster. I think Furious is trying to make one. They sort of indicated they're trying to get the suspension and other details worked out so it's safe. I would keep an eye out. I would guess mid to late next year if they do it. The Aniokki pro Max is 20 inch and goes 40 plus, but I don't necessarily trust the brand.
Can you give me more specifics since the first 60 seconds is the bike? I’d also like to know why you hyphenated “definitely” and then misspelled it? That seems kind of…pompous.

But it may be the closest to the EMX out there.
when is the next video coming out
Soon. Some updates on this bike followed by a cool new approach to ebike videos
Did you get it ?
@@JUICERATINGSpaid final payment the other day. Start shipping them out Dec 2.
Got it few hours ago. Only received 1 charger for dual batteries.
I hit the scales at 275lbs and live in mountainous Washington state. Without the front motor my Furious bike would be useless.
You have way more steeps than me but I can tell you I have so many hills here and it just feels so good when i see them to just zip right up
haha I just put those pedals on my Wired Freedom.
They're great. I have them on my Freedom too. I haven't been hit yet so I am taking that as evidence that they work.
@@JUICERATINGS I also put a govee usb tv light strip on the frame. Better to be seen than be dead lol.
@@sonofevil77 I will check em out.
HOW MANY THOUSAND $s and they STILL don't have it figured out how to keep the rider from ghost pedaling? I expect more.
It doesn't really ghost until 30ish MPH, which is pretty good. Plus the controller is set up to output more than standard bikes. I just put the chainring for more resistance it's not required.
Man i got a flat the first day, Argh!
Yikes. On your EMX? I have well over 2,000 miles and never had one. I live in Ohio though so we don't have goatheads or much of anything like that.
Can't find a bike that goes 40 mi an hour it's a 20-inch can't find it nowhere don't I probably have to make it and I don't know how to make a bike
I agree. I'd like 40-44 mph on a 20 inch. I don't need or want it faster. I think Furious is trying to make one. They sort of indicated they're trying to get the suspension and other details worked out so it's safe. I would keep an eye out. I would guess mid to late next year if they do it. The Aniokki pro Max is 20 inch and goes 40 plus, but I don't necessarily trust the brand.
arought to lift to ready
After only about 65 seconds I am compelled with the urge to...def-inatly give you a thumbs down for your "Pompous" attitude.
Can you give me more specifics since the first 60 seconds is the bike? I’d also like to know why you hyphenated “definitely” and then misspelled it? That seems kind of…pompous.
FOR RICH PEOPLE!!!!
