I love how despite hundreds of videos, across many years, repeating it, Craig has made sure that, even in the no talking ASMR videos, we have an explanation as to why they do not use a ladle for the corn syrup.
WOW, I wish everyone did their videos like you guys do...no talking, no head-banging music, explanations of each step with captioning, good grief, y'all are the best!!! 👍🏻
The camera person had one job, ONE ... and freaking aced it! Awesome tutorial and on screen prompts explaining everything. I enjoyed the levity as well, cute.
I have made pecan brittle now for over 50 years. This is the first time I've seen it made in big batches. I use a small sauce pan and pour the brittle over the pecans that are on a cookie sheet. U.S. A..
The sounds are great in this one! The scissors making the first cuts through the brittle and the crispy sound the brittle makes after it's been stretched are my favorites. I would be so tempted to drop those big pieces just to watch and hear them shatter! 😄 I also like the sounds of the bags as they're being filled. Thank you for the great explanations. ❤
YUM. I watched it twice. The first time to see the captions. The second time I watched it with my eyes closed. Who knew candy making could be so relaxing ❤
I have always loved hearing the banter between everyone in your videos, from even way back to when you were working in the basement. I personally feel these no talk ones are boreing. Others amy feel differently. You cn only watch someone silently make the candy so many times. I always come for the " entertainent " and the smiles you bring to my face while you work to brighten my day. Plus you have removed all the old videos so we can no longer go back and rewatch our favories.
This makes me want candy so bad! I made peanut brittle one time and the whole house smelled like peanuts for days...this has got to smell SO MUCH BETTER!!!! YYYYUUUUUMMMMMMMMM
Make my own brittle, much smaller batches of coarse. Always receive compliments because it's so much lighter & more airy. Everyone says it's easier to eat.
I have never made nut brittle with baking soda. Every brittle I have ever made or bought had clear sugar and the nuts and was thinner. Also, when using pecans for the nuts, add vanilla and use maple syrup instead of corn syrup; the flavor is astronomical!
Idk how much you charge, but people absolutely get their money’s worth with how much you pack in there! I love the sound of the scissors, it’s truly one of my favorite ASMR sounds. ❤
Fabulous video, I love the absence of narration and the pure focus on what's happening. WAY WAY better marketing the junk in so many "how they make ..." videos. Subscribed and liked, looking forward to more. Of course, now I have to see if I can divide everything down into a home kitchen sized recipe. :)
Simple recipe watching my Grandma as a child, was vook the syrup and pecans in the kettle, then when it can be dripped into a bowl of cold water and itbecomes brittle, its ready.. then add a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a teaspoon of baking soda.. then stirz like a madman..then pour it into buttered baking sheets and shake it more to even it out.. then put in the freezer for about 15 mins. The end
I am so curious the table you pour all your candy onto sometimes you got rods up there to block it for to make a damn up is that a heated table or a cooling table or can it be both I'm just curious about that. I'm really enjoying your videos I subscribed last week and I think I've watched probably 20 videos already
Two questions. No Butter? When I make this with Peanuts I have put in a bunch of butter..? Second question, do you not have to stir while the syrup/sugar mixture comes up to temp? I usually end up getting burning if I am not stirring.
All that baking soda to make it light and airy. Only to smash all the air out of it and make it as flat as hard you possibly can. I made peanut brittle for twenty years or more. The best recipe I used was from a very, very old southern cookbook. Using virginia peanuts, two tablespoons of baking soda. Every year at Christmas, I would get rave reviews about how light it was. People would tell me all the time that they didn't like peanut brittle, because it was too hard to bite, and it would stick in their teeth, was too hard on dentures. Or needed to be smashed with a hammer. I would smile and say, "Just give mine a try." Every year, I would have so many orders I could hardly keep up.
This has always been my question. My recipe (handed down from a great aunt), contains both baking soda and vinegar, and remains the only recipe I've seen to use both. It's light, crispy, and full of air bubbles. I respect the preference for a thin brittle without the air pockets, but I can't help wondering, every time I see something like this, what the point is of adding the soda in the first place. 🤔
I agree. I've been making and selling brittle for seven years now... Small batches as I will only use cast iron pans and generally make 10 pans per week. I don't understand why anyone would release the air bubbles! My brittle is light, airy and crispy.
Ok, ok, ok, Stop!!! I already placed 2 orders lol. You had me at pecan brittle but once you added the baking soda, my thought went back to my grandmother and I making brittle when i was a toddler. Your video sold me enough to make 2 orders 15 minutes after watching, lol. Thank you for this video! God bless!
I make it all the time the exact same way- except i add butter and vanilla when tossing in the baking soda. Also notice someone is a WFT fan …..HTTR/C!!

Yeah tht stuff don't pour easy like karo.
Pppppp❤
Q@@69inetails
You would be surprised how many comments and questions about it to this day 😂
What temp does the corn syrup get heated to
@@HerculesCandyASMRis the water ever responsible for any issues like mold in the syrup or is that not really a problem?

The camera work while spreading the pecan brittle was *chefs kiss*
I kept saying the same thing!! A+ job on that camera work! 😚👌🏻
Thank you so much!

That's an interesting way to do it on a small scale
Thank you so much for the help, I was wondering 🤔👋🏼🇨🇦

Of all the candies, brittle really does make the best sounds 😍
I love it when the baking soda goes in
That’s my favorite part! Besides eating it of course 🤭
Me, too! Especially when it looks creamy and then starts to foam up and expand. Very satisfying to watch.
It never gets old!
Why is the baking soda used? It is fun to watch it foam up.
@@pacaluvr7963 to make it fluffy, as the reaction that makes ir foam up and aerates the mixture.
My dad would have loved this pecan brittle. He left us a few years ago but he loved his peanut brittle so I know he would like it.

I've made brittle a hundred times and never thought to thin it out or stretch it. Absolutely brilliant!
I love being able to see the entire process from beginning to end. I still think my favorite part is the scraping of the pot after pouring.
That's always very satisfying!
Watching the making of any brittle is my favorite and I appreciate the subtitles 😊❤ Julia and Ezra are the best👍💪
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
You guy's are the best, I just wanted to go and take a nap, so this is perfect!❤
That's why I uploaded it when I did. So that you could take a nap 😉
@HerculesCandyASMR omg, thanks I feel so honored lol! 😊 love you guy's!
Reminds me of my grandmother many many decades ago onto a marble slab. Oh what wonderful times.

Thanks Craig! Great job on the camera work and I love having the sub-titles!❤
Now I want "Pecan Brittle" 😊 looks delicious...TFS
I felt like watching the brittle being made was like free therapy. It was so relaxing and informative to watch.
This is the sweetest ASM I have ever heard.
Literally! Haha
Can I just buy that big cardboard box full of brittle? :)
Fascinating. What an interesting process. Thank you for sharing with us.
Thanks for watching!

Working on another one today!
Omfg, this is just soooo ear/mouthgasme!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I haven't heard of pecan brittle, I love pecans,that sounds good & looks good.❤
As someone who has a couple of fake teeth, I agree that thinner brittle is better lol

The Sound of this video was amazing!

Sorry it stopped on me. Spray the sheet before adding pecans. Any questions just let me know. Good luck. I've been using this recipe for 60 years. .
Anyone else just pause this video and go to their website to put $300 worth of candy in their cart?
I've been watching these great people make candy since they were in the basement I'm so happy for them
I love the ASMR the best!😊

Pecan brittle sounds so yummy, one box may not be enough.
i used to make peanut brittle at home anyways love how baking soda interacts with it and the big change good stuff.
Looks and sounds scrumptious ‼️👌👑
So happy to have came across this beauty! The Tingles are amazing!!🌙🥱😴 Will definitely be adding to my asmr playlist as a new regular. Thank you!!

If food companies create asmr for their ads. People would for sure watch ads again
I love makin the brittle...adding the bakin soda is the fun part lol...though i don't use sissors to cut it up...i just drop it an break it by hand

Julia, Ezra & Craig? Guess I’m adding to my order that hasn’t shipped yet?..😉😘

What was used to make brittle prior to corn syrup being readily available?

I legitimately thought this was an Artificial Nightmare video for a second because of the thumbnail 😂
That’s amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
What a craft. No wonder it’s so expensive.
Love that candy, but it looks harder than peanut brittle?
Amazing old equipment!
I wanna do the corn syrup scoop thing 😂
It is actually kinda fun!
Such a big bag😮😊how long will it keep😊
Technically it will probably last about 6 months...But it never lasts that long before people eat it 😂
I'd want to try the little breakaway pieces 😂🎉
My mil makes peanut brittle and homemade caramels a lot…nothing better than walking in and the smell smacking you right in the face! 🤤🍬
I got diabetes just watching him stir that pot of sugar and corn syrup
Is it possible to make a peanut brittle/ honey comb high bred? I love them both and would love to try some if you made
That I don't know because we don't make honeycomb
Is that a cold surface looks good to me
i love pecan brittle
Literally my favorite!
Where do you get the plastic bags from
My teeth’s are hurting just watching all of that sugar… I doesn’t need that much.
The baking soda you using is for cleaning purposes not cooking.....
Why am I watching this
And why can't I stop?
Witchcraft.

How many batches do you make a day?
On brittle days we can usually squeeze out about 8 batches of various types of brittle

It's actually really easy, you can see how it's done with hard candy in our video getting posted this Sunday!
thought it was 10LB of corn syrup in an older video.
doesn't matter i won't be making this huge batch lol. yum yum
Do you ever make sponge candy?
We don't, it's one of the few things that we buy already made
How come the corn syrup bucket always look bone dry
Why did I click on this thinking it was going to be a charades game trying to explain the process
😂 another funny video idea!
I think I just gained 2 pounds just by watching! God that looks good!
Jesus Chirst is Lord, King and Our Savior!
I love try that
Damn nobody stuffs a bag like that 😂❤
Yummiest😊
Cajuns make a peanut brittle that's not "brittle"......it's chewy!!
Roll the sheets onto the stretching table with a press for real thin brittle
? isn't copper cookware poisonous
Taste good looks good❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I want some!
What does the baking soda do? I'm guessing all that sugar is acidic?
It makes it rise and gives it a fluffier texture because it adds a bunch of air bubbles into the candy
@@HerculesCandyASMR ty
Do you ever put chocolate on it
why do you use gross city water?
I would have ro have some of that while it is still warm and chewey 😋🥰
But not too hot, or it might be the last thing you eat 😂
Very labor intensive.
