I gotta say I love the Turner rifle. Its still on my main build and it carried me through the game pre buff. Its stylish and consistent. tons of damage potential with al that ammo.
I know the point of Freud's AC being so "meh" is because he's this insane pilot but the lore unfortunately doesn't translate to gameplay well. Either way, great work!
Part of the problem is that an AI will never properly utilize weapons like the laser drones or advanced techniques without it being hardcoded and thus, predictable.
I actually fight more like Shade from AC3. They made me use a blade instead of a shotgun. I was ok with it, as I found a spread bazooka on some antique AC a couple hours ago... brought back memories.@@kerbodynamicx472
I literally one shot'D your defense target with no scratches or ammo, you were my bonus log. Sucks your mission ends immediately. If that pisses you off, or you hate that teleport BS, take it up with From.
Freud was the top rank but Snail is very much the commander, their names are based on a Salvador Dali painting depicting Freud's brain as a snail. Freud has no care for the politics or leadership of Arquebus, he's just their best pilot(although Rusty could dispute that, but he's probably hiding his skill a bit). Freud even treats Snail as the boss, but with the caveat that he can ignore Snail with his rank if he finds a worthy opponent, like 621. V.I is either an honorary title for Freud's piloting skill, or Snail is exploiting the fact that Freud doesn't care about anything but fighting to usurp Freud's rank/role as commander(all the Arquebus missions come from Snail instead of Freud, etc).
One of my favorite NPC's, though absolutely could be improved. For the weapons I change the turner for the Harris, the Laser Drones for the Huxley, and the laser blade for the slicer. I also alternate between the Morley and the Earshot.
I always liked the Haldeman over the Zimmerman just for the more traditional shotgun silhouette.

Lore-wise Freud probably fights like Ibis CEL240. The laser blade and funnels

This is a great build, I think the Haldeman could easily be swapped out for other weapons abd the build would still work which is really nice.
I use a Haldeman on "Master Key", Get it? That's good and you know it :D

I'm trying to get a DLC Arquebus ending for Christmas. IE, the true ending.
11:43 Locksmith uses VE-20A because of higher en firearm spec, but it is not used for the laser drone. VP-20C or Hokushi might be a good call
I can see Freud killing it in a lammergeier. No augments what so ever piloting an ac stripped down to the bare essentials...
