I'm a 66 year old U.S. Army veteran, who served 2 years as a Battalion ground Corman (medic)
and 8 years as a "Dustoff flight Medic" .This line of work you deal with real situations where you
respond to civilian incidents or accidents as well as military within your 100 mile radius cover zone,
in real time as in war. Most scars we carry for life and cannot be seen from the outside. I'd delievered
two babies enroute to the nearest Civilian Medical Center but the baby decided to come out, before
we get there. had triage and classified a plane crash DOAs(dead on arrival) by critical or ambulatory
( have a possible chance to survive. Recovered dead bodies of two soldiers that drown in the river
and found two weeks later. Found one body against the river bank brushes. Reached down to turned
him over and the arm broke off the body and my fingers are slowly sinking through the watery flesh
to the bone. Both bodies can only be axtract with body bags. I'm stopping here 'cause it's triggering
things. Thank you, for unload. I'm walking this rescue missions like it was yesterday. God blesse.

Yeah I know this type of person very well, it’s unfortunate! There’s a really interesting video created by Matt best, where he does a skit. He takes a girl home after a date, and she gets offended by the American flag he has hanging outside his property. This is almost how I imagined it!
She hates America until it come to having to move and live somewhere else… haha

What most don't think about is that without the strong tough guy's & gal's who serve we would be in a mess. If our military changes like they want it to we will have folks running and crying when it gets tough or there will be no one to call on at all, they will bring back proper drafts. It's sad that kid's grow up sheltered not knowing what it takes.

Have always loved my country and our freedoms. I'm an old hippie who ejoyed those freedoms whole heartedly in the 70s.
I was born in KY raised in TN, married a GA boy who went to Vietnam twice while I was living in communes and hitching across the country. I took a turn and joined the Air Force. My husband wasnt physically hurt but i dodged many flying fist in the middle of the night. I am more than greatful my husband came home, that my brother came home from Vietnam, that my oldest brother came home from Korea, that my Daddy and his twin brother came home from WWII and that my husbands Daddy came home from WWII after being a fighter pilot. All were physically OK. Not mentally though for years and years. The phrase "War I Hell" seems to not come close. They all witnessed friends and brothers die and some survive thanks to the medics. Others go to kill, the medics are there to save. I cant imagine the devestation they feel when someone dies, it is unfathomable, when your head says you have to save them, when your heart is all in. I never experienced it first hand. I did experience it as I held my brothers and my husband as they refused to cry but were shaking all over with their fist clenched. The thing that saved them all from the anguish was their children.
They all, living and dead, would have gone again. Each and every one were, and are, the best of humanity. God Bless America!🇺🇲
Surprisigly i am a Republican. I dont agree with everything but believe they have it more right than any of the others.

It's your channel so speak out! Anyone who doesn't like it don't subscribe! To answer your question the other artist is Jordan Walker singing with Johnny McGuire hence the name Walker McGuire (I had to look it up myself) since I never heard this song before, just being honest. I do know about Desmond Doss which I thought this song was about.

Love this song and video. It makes me think of a situation I found myself in. I live in Hawaii, so do a lot of long flights, like really a lot, back to the mainland. I was on one such flight and we are well over water and along way from any place. I struck up a conversation with the young woman next to me, and found out she was an Army medic rotating back home from over seas. Well that horrible call comes over the PA "Is there a doctor on board this flight." She responds, but comes back rather quickly. She indicated that there was in fact a doctor on the flight, which got me to thinking. If I am in the middle of the freaking ocean, I have a medical emergency, and have a combat medic on the flight, yeah let me have that person over a Dr. Heck this is easy for them, no one is shooting at them. Give them a straw, two drink glassed and a paper clip, I bet they can fix me up. The Dr, is so use to a room with everything they could want, yet a medic, well they will make do and save you.

Both my brother and my best friend's brother served in the Army. My friend's brother was shot and a medic , disobeying orders, ran to him. He had bullets flying by and one bullet hit some of his equipment. If that medic had followed the orders, her brother would've died.

You might enjoy watching the video "The Medic Who fought a War without a Weapon" It is a story of Desmond Doss was not your average hero.
He would become a Medal of Honor recipient, the United States of America's highest and most prestigious military award, as a combat medic who saved many of his comrades lives in battle without firing a single shot - because he did not take a weapon into combat because of his religious beliefs.

Don’t ever touch “Doc” because you will have every Marine in the area on top of you. Doc’s gotten me into a few bar fights afterwards we have a beer and laugh about it. Doc came to our 30th anniversary party for the Marine Corps birthday because he is our brother.

Three rules about the U.S. Navy corpsman:
    1. Good men will die.
    2. Doc can't save everyone
    3. Doc will do everything in his power to break rules one and two.
It's a surreal experience to try and patch up an 18 year old marine and the first thing he says is "don't tell my momma I died in pain". That line still breaks my heart, and I didn't even experience it.

My grandfather was a Navy Corpsman in WWII. He was in the Pacific theater, Guam. I'm pretty sure a large part of who my grandad was died there. He will always be my hero. RIP
I do know they were targeted so they had to remove anything that helped to recognize them as a Corpsman.

NCIS did an episode about a Navy Corpsman who came upon a car accident and saved most of the victims. She did lose one. She blamed herself AND was arrested for practicing medicine without a license.
