BEAUTIFUL VIDEO!!! Pure climbing awesome shots. Perfect color correction, and superb filming. Congrats to the Filming and post processing team! MORE OF THIS PLEASE!! 🙏
The kid (now a young man!) is a beast. I remember hearing how he was going to school M-F and trying to free the Nose on weekends as a 15 year old. Incredible.
it really comes down to style and ethics! Mad respect to Connor for that choice. Skipping the chains is a way to "pretend" the climb is not an extension, but rather a climb unto itself. Clipping the chains while climbing the extension would be sorta like setting a new trad route with a random bolt on the face right next to an easily protectable crack. Obviously it's not the same thing and in this case it's a highly personal choice. No one would judge anyone for clipping the chains, which just speaks to Connor's ethical and stylistic convictions. He just wanted to do the thing in the best style possible.

I'm pretty sure that when Tommy Caldwell climbed it, he clipped the anchor as a piece of gear. Different strokes, cool both ways. I think that the gear there is pretty good so it doesn't really matter much.
I must be seeing this wrong. It looked like he clipped into biners already in place on chains/bolts (the bolted anchor). What benefit would it be to add a quick draw into the system?
What does it mean to clip the anchor as a piece of gear? It looks like he just clipped the anchor. The alternative would be to lower off of gear you place and leave behind.@@jnick5358
sick film with no distractions, just one long shot of epic climbing, i was hooked from start to finish.

Fantastic video! Very well filmed, music transitions tastefully. Makes you feel like you're right there
Brad and HK always come to mind with this one
I loved it. Thak you all for a great video.
Haha I was gonna say I don't know about that tiny red cam he placed after the crux bit. And then him saying he didn't think it would hold at the end.
Anyone know the reason to not clip the chains as pro instead of use 2 cams? Just curious for my own knowledge.

You completely forgot, "you know what to do here"
I alway like a good YOU GOT IT YOU GOTITYOUGOTIT
this was me when my wife gave birth.
sick stuff!
i thought the .1 looked good but connor did not seem happy about it. either i trust shitty gear or it was hard to see from the video 😅
looked like a .1/.2 offset would have been 🤌
I'm confused. There was gear but one piece was mankey. That isn't considered runout then right?
That got me sweaty AF
That was fucking sick
Looks rough.
Gnarly
would that .1 have more chance of holding if he extended it?
This is black diamons
she is the most powerful diamond
Why not clip the chains with a quick draw and add 24 kn of safety?
Style
Bad style, its a trad route

This seems kinda click baitish. I appreciate how hard the the route, kept waiting for a long run out…?
Settle down 😂 run out, no run out … who cares.
