Another shoutout to including the talk through of the entire climb. It really shows how much planning goes into an ascent like this, plus helps the viewer understand and appreciate each move and gear placement.

I doubt Connor will read this, but I am a scientist who loves to climb. I didn't have the privilege of parents like this, but I have managed to combine the two passions by using neuroscience to make a small entrance into the world of climbing research. Anyway, I just wanted to say that it is always possible to combine passions into a single meaningful pursuit. Blessings and I'm so excited to see what you do.

When I started climbing about 9 years ago, I would see Conner at my gym making 12s looks easy. I think he was about 4'-10". I'm 5'-3". It was good for me to be reminded that it's not about reach, it's about technique, discipline and commitment. Way to go Conner. Still inspiring. Also, shout out to videographer Harry Yuan. Beautiful work dude.

This was awesome! Well done Connor! That was beautiful climbing on Empath. Also Great job by La Sportiva and the production team for leaving in all the gear placements with the voice over. Incredible stuff. 🤩🤩

Very inspiring to see great climbing, ethics, and great safety all in such a hard lead! I'm taking this psych and attitude to my trad-dad projects which are 5 grades below this, but still...

It would be great to see a comparison video of the different ascents of Empath so far. Maybe someone with the requisite time and skill could make a nice side by side video comparing the boulder-heavy beta of Daniel Woods, Jimmy Webb and Carlo Traversi with this masterpiece of jamming? I don't mean to disparage either style it would just be really interesting to see.

Quality film, great story. Especially liked the walk through of the send, made for much more engaging viewing - helps really put you there. But the product placement in this was gratuitous and unnecessary, and interrupted the story. Give us (the viewers) some credit, we see the product regardless. As a brand and product marketer in the outdoor industry I can almost say with certainty this came from a client who does not appreciate how brand storytelling works, and where the lines are drawn between brand and product marketing.
