- This past spring, BD Athlete Hazel Findlay faced off with the immaculate 230-foot splitter, Concepción (5.13), located in the southwest desert near Moab, Utah. “I guess I got my ass kicked a little bit,” says Hazel. “Performance anxiety comes because you put too much pressure on yourself,” explains Hazel. “But if you have low expectations, then there’s no pressure anymore.” Ironically, as Hazel points out in this film, success happens when “you just kind of let yourself climb.” #liveclimbrepeat

I LOVE how Hazel emphasizes the mental aspect even more than the physical aspects. That's what puts her above the rest. What a great attitude to have in life!

I don’t climb but I love watching climbing videos. I watched the Dawn Wall (excellent) and Alex Honnold’s Free Solo movie. Also excellent. Now I’m watching these TH-cam videos, mostly. I think Hazel is really good! I love the mental planning the climbers put in. It’s so cool that people get paid to do sports like this. Love it. Keep up the great work! Different sized hands makes all the difference for these sorts cracks. I’m no where near those twos level but I’d wager I’d have a better chance at this than a slightly bigger 5.13 since my hands are a tad larger
At 70m long you would also have to set up a belay halfway up. Either that or they had a 140m or 150m rope

Near my city of Krasnoyarsk, in Siberia, in the midst of a beautiful taiga, there are amazing rocks "Pillars", as if specially created for climbers.That's where you need to be this beautiful and good girl:).I think she would have received over a great pleasure being there:)."Pillars" is a classic rock climber, about the same as Bach classics in music:)))).
